WDW after cruise next month

Celebrating DW birthday and surprising her with a stay at the Polynesian after the 4 night cruise. We are taking disney transfer to the resort. I want it to be a surprise as we pull up to the resort. Question is when you load the buses that morning, who asks what resort you are going to? I want to somehow keep my wife busy while i give that info to the appropriate person.

As you come out of the terminal, a CM asks you about bus transportation. They then direct you to the appropriate bus. You may have some difficulty keeping it a secret as we have had drivers confirm where everybody is going before leaving the terminal. They have also outlined the order of the resorts for us. It may be that your surprise will start when you get on the bus, not when you get to the Poly.

You could make up a card or page to give to anyone asking directions that says, "surprising wife, we're going to Poly, but don't tell her". You could even make it look like an official document, so she doesn't question it.

Not as "magical" as the Disney transport but a car service would probably be about double the Disney transport if it's just the two of you. If there's more than just you and your wife in your group it'll be close to the same or possibly cheaper and that may enable you to keep it a surprise.

In my experience a CM comes onboard and asks out load confirmation that everyone is going to such and such resort and that they are on the correct bus. A secret would be hard.

Private transportation might be the way to go if you really want to surprise her. I love the Poly!!!

I don't think you'll be able to surprise her on the bus. They are very clear about the busses you need to take and where they are going.

I suggest you organize the surprise before you leave the ship.

Another option could be if she thinks your flying out that day or staying at a hotel I. The Orlando area ? You could say your flights not till later or you can't check in to your other hotel until later so you thought you'd surprise her by going to lunch there to kill some time. Just trying to think of another option.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and help. I think i will surprise her at breakfast that morning before we get off. We are traveling with our youngest DD (2yr old) so it was easier to take disney transfer and not have to carry around a car seat.
