WDW 50th....are you

making plans yet?

We were sitting here today trying to work out another trip between now and our November trip and the thought popped into my head....the 50th is going to be crazy and I know I will have to get with MS 11 months to the day of October 1st 2021 to make sure we get a ressie!

I have been there on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th. 35th and will be there on the 40th....I missed the 30th by a week because it slipped my mind

We plan on staying at our home resort.....and it will be it's 30th!

I first visited WDW as a toddler in November 1971, and then 2 years later.

I returned for my honeymoon and Disney's year long 20 th anniversary celebration.

We were thrilled to realize that we will be at Wdw on THE 40th anniversary!

We will be there for the 40th and are planning to be there for the 50th.

I won't be there for the 40th - but I'll be there for the 40th plus one month anniversary!

So, heck yeah, sign me up for the 50th - and for the 45th to boot. Woo hoo!!!

Due to a change of plans we will be there on the "40th Eve"

I plan on being there many more times before the 50th, but not sure if I will be there on the day of the 50th.

I thought your thread was about turning 50 in WDW... I still have a few years to savor the youthful side of 100 before I need to worry about the crazy side .

WDW's 50th should be fun (as long as they don't recreate the birthday cake castle. ) How about a groupie meet over at the Poly DVC?

It would be nice if Disney could bring the WDW 50th celebration to places all over the country/world so those who can't get there can join in the fun. I'd love to be part of that planning team... just give me all the locations, resources, equipment and graphics coders I need. hehehe... well, I can dream.

Hadn't thought about it yet, but that week will be MY 66th! Haven't done an October trip since 1992, usually go in January, but might have to make an exception...!

When I was there on the 25th anniversary it was amazing....crowded and noisy but amazing. I met tons of celebrities and my friend, it was her first trip, was blown away!

I hope a few more disers are going to join us!

Let's see I will be 78 that year but it sounds like fun. Went to the 50th at DL because I was there the week they opened in 1955 and wanted to go back. DD, DGD and DS went also and we had a ball. Will just hope the memory holds out so I remember to make those reservations--- If not I know I will be there many times between now and then.

that if need be she will wheel me around in a wheel chair or rent me a hover round so we can enjoy the magic!!

The 25th was marred only by the inflatable cake they wrapped around the castle....

If I move to back to Montana like I want to, I'll be selling all my contracts in a few years.

Yes, I am unhappy with the changes that have been made in the past years. It was much more friendly and easy to manage in the 1990's.

I "was" excited to be @ WDW on the 40th this year but actually considering skipping it, especially as it's a travel day for us to start our trip.

Other than special merchandise to be sold I haven't seen any advertising hoopla, etc. appears to be a non-event as far as I can determine.

i really wanted to be there for the 40th...but my 2nd daughter was born in DEC, and we decided to hold off on her 1st trip until her 1st birthday this up-coming DEC. alas...no 40th celebrations for us...

but i've already told my wife that we WILL be there for the 50th! hopefully disney will make a bigger deal out of that milestone than it seems they're making out of this one!

Ok somebody please post 11 months out to remind everyone to make their reservations for the anniversary. We should make a meet for that event or maybe everyone could where something the same as everyone else, and we could dominate the park!
