So true!

On the face of it,it would seem impossible to prefer Pop and the other Values over a Deluxe stay,but for us and many others it is ABSOLUTELY true!

The total Disney immersion the Values provide is awesome and the there is nothing "motel 6 like" at the Values like is sometimes implied.

We enjoy our time at Pop just as much as our time in the Parks!

Yes, I find the "motel 6" statement so ridiculous. Only at WDW do we actually prefer our room door open to the outside and not have a hallway.

This is a big reason I keep coming back to PoP (even after nearly 10 years as a DVC member staying in a 1br or 2br). I love booking preferred pool view and requesting first floor for easy access to Petals and the pool. At worst, I'm taking a few stairs. It's hard to find somewhere else to stay that gives me that that kind of guaranteed access to my two favorite non-park amenitites.

Some folks don't like being right at a Pool,but I love it!

We stayed in a 2nd floor Preferred Pool View room in May and loved it!! I was worried about the noise, as we had a one year old with us, but we heard *nothing* once the door to the room was closed! And it was so close to the Skyliner & food court.

Highly recommend!

Hi all. Just want to "POP" in and wish all the Pop Century fans a Merry Christmas especially @scrappinginontario for all your time you spend keeping this thread the best. Looking forward to continue to enjoy all the posts filled with helpful info till my next visit in late April. Thanks all.

Merry Christmas! Love the disney ornaments, they always bring back amazing memories. We were at mickeys very merry Christmas party last year and each have an ornament that we place on the tree. Our newest tradition lol

I returned before Christmas from a 2 week stay at pop and wanted to check-in about a couple of things i I discovered. It had been over 2 and a 1/2 years since I was there. But I always choose preferred pool view and ask for the 1st floor and I really lucked out this time. 4 rooms down from the laundry room! I popped over to the 24 hour beverage station, at least twice a day, and I will say that they did not change anything about that in the renovation. I had housekeeping every other day and that worked out perfectly. I did try to use hey Disney to request a luggage stand and they said they would bring me one, but they never did. I never used it for anything after that. I had treats delivered from a former cast member, and they were placed in my room while I was out. The biggest surprise was that I had to have all of my magic bands scanned by a cast member and connected to my door which I do not remember ever having to do before. I was glad my room was close because I had to walk back and get all 8 of them. And she seemed surprised that I had so many, but I've traveled often when they were free. I like them to match my outfit, so I wasn't sure which ones I would use. My phone did unlock the door but I wanted the magic bands to do it too. I never ordered food there because I was out every day from rope drop to close except for the last day when I used my leftover dining credits to buy a family's meals. That was fun, and I felt like Santa Claus.

Did you try all 8 of the bands before having them reconnected? That’s l not fun that none of them would reconnect to your room! We’ve occasionally had problems with one band but never all of them and like you, we have many, all MB2.

I took over the one that I tried and she said that I probably needed to try them all. So when I went back to the room, I did try a couple more that didn't open it. So I just brought them all over

My trick with old magic bands is to 'deactivate' and then re-activate myself in my Disney account. That usually solves any problems. I say *usually*. I remember once that didn't work, but it has worked on recent trips.

I had issues once with a MB not opening the door at Pop and they told me it was because I had too many active in my account at one time (I probably had more than thirty active at the time). Since then, I try to keep only six to eight active and I haven’t had any more problems.
