WDW 2008, just us and the weans - NOW WITH PICS!!!

:woohoo: Tickets!!!! :dance3: :cheer2: party: :jumping1: :jumping2: :jumping3: :maleficen :simba: :stitch: :dumbo: :donald: :ccat: :sulley: :tigger: :hmghost: :mickeyjum

Oops, I got a little carried away for ya there!

I was just thinking about you. I was checking the weather there in Orlando. I didn't even realize it was a couple of degrees cooler there than here. Already one day next week it will be 79 for a high, rest of the days for next week will be low 80's, so I am sure that is about what you will have on your trip. It is also drying up. We have very low chances of rain for the next week.

I'm so excited for you!

Yay!!! For Tickets!!!!

And two weeks!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Happy Birthday a little late Di! :bday:

Hope you had a great day!!!

Keep up with the weather reports for me! Is it cool in the evenings? I'm wondering about needing to take jumpers/cardigans with us for walking about the parks at night?

Happy Birthday a little late Di! :bday:

Hope you had a great day!!!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes. You'll be pleased to know the bad shopping pixies are still here. I went into town today to buy my winter coat....the one I really liked - NONE in my size! :headache:
Then I saw Clarks had a sale on, saw a pair of leather boots, reduced from £99 to £25....tried on a 5 1/2.....too small - only other size was a 7 - way too big! :headache:

I am forever destined to shop alone in a sea of heartache and despair....

Plus...:offtopic:... I've still not heard anything from ATOL regarding our refund for the cancelled holiday. I resurrected a thread on the UK board to see if anyone else had heard...it's now made me feel worse cause everyone else who posted on it initially has had a response from ATOL! :rolleyes1

I am forever ...blah blah blah... heartache...blah.... despair...blah blah.....

On a positive note, as far as I am aware, Disney is still open - and I've now attached my new luggage tags to our suitcases!!!
Also found out it is Mears that are providing the transport to the hotel, not Magical Express :sad1: Don't think Mears provides films and songs during the journey, but not to worry I shall entertain all with my sunny renditions of Disney classics the entire journey! :cloud9:

Di x :flower3:

Am sitting watching my Disney Planning DVD - I feel I have healed enough now to start watching it again! :hippie: Looking outside at the torrential rain.........I feel the time is approaching for the Single Digit Dance again!!!!!!!
Soon boys...your turn soon boys!!!!!!!!!:hippie: :goodvibes

My TO DO List:

Pack summer clothes - done.

Pack Mousekeeping envelopes - done

Pack camera & charger - sitting next to suitcase.

Pack first aid kit/suncream/travel adapter - done

Have all paperwork for car park at Gatwick/Photopass/Car Hire - in folder

Money - to be packed.

Pack books/sticker books/colouring pads & pencils - sitting next to suitcase.

Wax legs/eyebrows/tint eyelashes - to be done day before we leave.

Keep trying for ADR breakfast at Poly.

Buy cartons of juice/stuff for eating on drive down to Gatwick - to be done

Cancel newspaper delivery - to be done

Pack tickets/attach luggage labels - DONE!!!!!!

Do online check in for Virgin - to be done 24hrs before

Book kids meals for the flights - done

Pack sunglasses - to be done

Put cushions and blankets in the car for kids to snuggle into on drive down - to be done on day.

Remember to actually pack toiletry bag, and not leave hanging on hook in bathroom - to be done on day (mental note to self - put next to suitcase to reduce risk of forgetting)

Buy trainer socks for DS (he has issues with bare feet in shoes, even crocs) - to be done

Am sure there is a few more things to do - will add when I remember.

Am also wondering if I should let the school know again, I already sent them a letter with the new dates, but that was in September. Should I do it again or am I just being a bit paranoid???

I would, but I'm a worrier. My DH on the other hand would say, "I already told them once and if they can't remember that's their problem.":rotfl:

Di,

You're getting close now! It seemed like forever ago that you were canceling your trip and rescheduling and now look! Yay!

I hope you have a magical time and I can't wait to read all about it when you return!

Are we married to the same man?????? My DH reply was "If they don't have a proper filing system to keep track of these things, it's not my problem". :lmao:

Hi Sophia,
How are you?
Your tickers going down as well! :thumbsup2

I would let the school know again. But that is me, a worrier. Not sure how the schools there handle the kids being out. I know Texas didn't like you to do it, especially if it was that month where the state uses attendence for budgeting the next year.

Wanted to tell you to go ahead and plan on packing a light sweater or jacket. It is starting to get into the upper 50's, low 60's at night. May not need them at the parks at night, I don't think they stay open that late, but in the morning, especially if you do the morning EMH, it can be chilly.

You are almost here!
Melissa

Hey, just wanted to let you know that they're selling MNSSHP tickets for the 31st again. Will you be over in time to go? That would be so great if you could score tickets.

I don't have much time but I just wanted to be the first to do the single digit dance for you :goodvibes . Fingers crossed that this all goes flawlessly.

And I see that addictedtothemouse mentioned that they're selling tickets for 10/31's MNSSHP...you MUSTMUSTMUSTMUST go if there's any way that you can! You guys will love it...plus there's candy :rotfl: .

Oh, by the way,    .

:woohoo:  Single digit dance!:woohoo:  :dance3:

Ok, getting carried away again. I vote for MNSSHP also, but I can only imagine how tired you will be after flying over here. Just dealing with Texas to Florida wore us out.

I just looked up your schedule and saw you are going to MK on your first full day. We might see you. I want to go somewhere at WDW that weekend, so who knows.

We will be at Epcot on the 7th to see Night Ranger at the Food & Wine Festival. That is the following Friday, I forgot to see what you are doing there.

Not long now, oh, and the lastest weather report showed after this weekend, 70's during the day, upper 50's at night. What great weather, water rides might be a little chilly, but that has never stopped this crazy woman. Oh, and not much rain. We haven't had any for a week, but are getting some tomorrow. Funny I have turned into your weather person. I am a weather freak, always checking the radars.

Ok, one more time, single digit dance::dance3:  :woohoo:

Di and Grumpy, I'm here catching up on everything!!! Single digit dance

:dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer::dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer::dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Very exciting!!!

Are you considering the MNSSHP? I totally recommend it even though you will be tired from traveling but what a way to kick off your vacation!!!! :thumbsup2

I come on to do my single digit dance - and what do I see??????? Everyone else has beat me to it! :rolleyes1 Bit slow today, eh!
Thank you all! :grouphug:

We did seriously think about MNSSHP on the 31st but we've pretty much ruled it out. Our flight gets in at 6.30pm Orlando time, but judging by previous trips, it usually takes at least 2 hours from landing to get through Customs and Immigration....all us 'suspicious looking types' take a while to process. Then getting to WDW, we thought we might get to POFQ for 9.30pm if we were really lucky and quick through the checks. See our last trip (pg 1 of this PTR) to judge our success at quick arrivals and departures from airports in the US....:rolleyes1

We just felt it might be too much of a risk getting the tickets - with our luck our flight will be delayed, or we could get held up at the airport, and we would miss half the party. Plus we'll have been up for nearly 36 hours with very little sleep - we may not be in the best of moods to fully appreciate the magic! :wizard:

When we do it we want to be there for it starting and not miss ANYTHING!
We are thinking about MVMCP, we will be there for it starting during our 2nd week, so we're planning to see how the budget is going and we might get tickets for it - I think we thought we could do it 10th Nov.

BTW Melissa, keep up with the weather reports! I'm sitting here with the heating on and wearing a jumper looking out at the rain.......I can't actually believe it will be warm in Orlando - I keep thinking I should unpack my shorts and t shirts and pack our jumpers instead! :rotfl: It would be cool to finally meet you!

Di x

PS I had to edit out some of your smilies as when they were all added up there was 50+ and it wouldn't let me post!
