Is there a difference when calling 407wdisney and talking to the person you get vs asking for CRO? I have heard there is and to be adament about getting CRO instead of WDTC, but the rep's who are answering are telling me there is no CRO anymore, but they know what I am talking about and they can help me.

Confused!

 I don't know if this helps or not, but we called 407 WDWINFO yesterday to make our room only reservations and asked for Central Reservations on some automated response system. We got CRO without a problem. I made sure by checking the cancellation policy & deposit.

I think both CMs were correct... in different ways. I read on Mouseplanet that WDW is now crossing over towards a single CRM (Customer Relationship Manager)/Reservation system. I recall the name of the system/project is "Destination Disney". This is a smart move as the whole CRO vs WDTC scheme seems to cause a great deal of confusion. So I think the first CM may be correct that there technically isn't a "CRO" anymore, but the second one may be correct too since the "room only" terms associated with the old CRO is included in the "DD" system. Since they know it's the terms people are looking for when asking for "CRO", who they are talking to is a bit of a moot point.

If you want to make a room only reservation then CRO is definitely preferred. Last time I called (a couple of weeks ago) the CM could make either type of reservation. The CRO cancellation policies are MUCH better. With a CRO room only ressie you only need to place 1 night's deposit on your credit card. Cancellation is allowed up to 5 days before check-in without penalty. The other difference is that CRO doesn't add-on extra charges like travel insurance.

They are still making CRO ressies. I'd just hang up and call again...not all CM's have the same level of knowledge and it often depends on who you talk to! Be sure to use their toll-free number.

TTFN!

what is the toll free number please?

I was given this number by CRO. You can also make your PS arrangements through this number.
