After reading some of the recent reviews on WCC, it seems that the experience really depends on your server. Is it possible to request a specific server? Anyone had experience requesting a specific server, any tips you can share?

Also, what are the names of servers you have had there that you would recommend?

TIA

If you want the full experience, I'd highly recommend Bobby the Kid!!!!

Just asking, is that you? :rotfl2:

Seriously, though, Bobby the Kid? We will be there in 2 months and I definitely want to have a good experience. We will be taking my brother in law and two nieces. They have never been to Disney and I want EVERYTHING to be magical!

Yes, Bobby the Kid (and no, that's not me...I'm no kid!)!! His reputation is known around the world...well, around Disney World anyway!

BJ is a great one. He is a Hoot. So you could try and ask for him.

Bobby, BJ, Suzanne, Judith, and Al are the ones I've encountered that were a hoot!

Don't forget Hedda Lettuce. We always have a good time with her, and she's a DISer.

If someone explains to me how to post a picture I can post a picture of her from our Feb trip.

Boy, I wish I could remember the name of our server....but I can't. We were there for breakfast for my b-day on June 14.....and I would say he sufficiently "abused" us....I had to ride the stick pony around the restaurant singing "happy birthday to me", and my DH had to do the reprise, too

And when I asked for ketchup, since there wasn't much to be had in the dining room, they delivered it from the kitchen....

Our server didn't create hats for his table, though....we had fun anyway, but I thought the bonnets that some of the folks ended up wearing were hilarious!!!

Heada Lettuce = Suzanne. She's Suzannews here on the DIS. :wave2:

The server we had on 6-24-05 is listed on the bill as HumbleAlley. She was perfect for our family. She threw the straws and napkins. Teased both of my boys (called my DS13 a hottie - which just made his day). Fussed at us for not eating enough of the skillet and when the family next to us needed ketchup they got the full treatment ( we never asked for the ketchup). Then as we were leaving she hollers out to everyone in the restaurant to say goodbye to Christine! No napkin hats or giant forks - but just enough fun for us. She seemed to being having fun with all her tables. We are a pretty quiet family and her style was just right.

By the way has anyone else been there when they do the airplane bit? That was really funny! Don't want to give to many details for those that have not seen it.

I think you're absolutely right that it depends on the waiter/waitress. We ate there expecting a lot of fun... nothing happened at our table. The kids were all called up front to ride the horses around, and my kids did have to take a red crayon (all kids did) to one table where a child had asked for a red crayon (ofcourse I didn't understand why they wanted every child who had a red crayon to come to the lady standing by one table- and then afterwards I had to hear whining from my youngest that we had no red crayons at our table! LOL) and we had to ask for hats to be made because we saw everyone else getting them. Right about the time we were finished eating- she finally made one for my youngest two. They wore them for about literally 2 min and then ofcourse wanted to keep them- they didn't get to wear them as long as everyone else! LOL (ofcourse I told them they couldn't keep them).

The rest of the time was nothing different than any other restaurant- except for really slow service by our waittress. I swear I'm beginning to think the dining plan is not a good idea- simply because it seemed at each restaurant we received poor service (they knew the gratuity was already included and we were told to let them know before ordering that we were on the dining plan!) and watched other tables receiving great service. :(
