WCC or Trails End for Breakfast?

We plan on staying at the Wilderness Lodge and are wondering, for those of you who have done both, would you recommend WCC or Trail's End Buffetat Fort Wilderness? We're probably only going to do one big breakfast and since DS will only be 2.5 we don know if he will appreciate the characters so we are trying to stay away from character breakfasts. TIA!

I would do Trails End buffet. It's the same quality of food. WCC can take a long time to eat with all the antics going on. It can be fun or it can be annoying, depending on your mood and the need to get out to the parks in the am!!

Trail's Inn has to be one of the best deals money wise.

Ken is an awesome server!!! I also LOVE Bob (he's my fave).

Trails End is actually my fave breakfast place. They have so many choices.
Yum.. Now I'm hungry. So sad I will most likely not be able to hit it this coming trip.

As much as I love WCC, I would agree with the others. TE is really good for breakfast and less expensive. And they have really good breakfast pizza, the best at any breakfast at WDW, IMO.

We've done both and we loved Trail's End! Such a great value too!! Be sure and take the boat over, we made the mistake of driving and it was horrendous to get to the back of Fort Wilderness!!

Trail's End it is! The buffet looks pretty good there. We plan on having the dining plan, so this will be something we pay for out of pocket...

Just want to make sure you realize that Trails End is a full mile from WL. If you don't mind spending the time to take the boat or bus both ways, Trails End is fine. With a 2.5yo it seems unlikely you will want to walk.
