Thinking of getting an ADR for our first night (no parks that day.) How has it been lately? A few years back I heard there were changes and a lot of people weren't happy.

Thanks

We came back in August and we have nothing to compare it by, but we absolutely loved it!

We are going to make an ADR for our first night next trip :teeth:

We had dinner there last week during our most recent stay and this was our first time eating there and it was a hoot. My husband had the meatloaf and made the "mistake" of asking for katchup:rotfl2: :rotfl2: We enjoyed ourselves and the food was good. It is a loud fun place to have a meal. Enjoy.

I know what you're trying to do, but IMHO it's a non starter. Each dining experience is so personal and a whole lot again IMHO is not so much the food, but what that person's experience was overall and if you expect a really good meal for the value .... FORGET IT ... it's WDW and you will pay ultra-premium prices for everything since they can get that and folks are willing to pay it.

I enjoy reading these restaurant threads not for so much the information and especially the recommendations/likes/dislikes, but from the entertainment value which IMHO many times shows my premise that you will either "LIKE IT" or "HATE IT" and usually the "HATES" get the microphone so to speak.

Actually, I'm not worried about value. We got the dining plan and we promised ourselves we're not going to worry about getting the most bang for our buck. We're not big eaters either. For us, it's all about the fun, atmosphere, etc. Our Akershus food was awful, but the character interaction was so spectacular and we carry those memories with us, not the food memories.

The not-so-good reviews mentioned changes in the entertainment at WCC. I had heard (and this could have been rumor) that the fun little tidbits were being phased out. (Ketchup, stick horse races, shenanigans, etc.) I'm hoping that the majority of people are still having a great time at WCC.

Moot point though because it is booked solid that night.

:(

We ate at WCC in July and loved it. Our dks are 13 and 10 and loved it. The atmosphere was so much fun and the food was quite good too. Overall, though our family enjoyed our meal and experience more at O'hana. We would still return to WCC. There were groups there that did not seem to enjoy the interaction as well as we did...maybe they didn't know what was going on but why go if you dislike that sort of thing? I think it would be a fun start to a trip. It was our first evening's dinner and entertainment.

We ate there last month and LOVED IT! I've read the bad reviews here, but honestly, we've never had a bad food or service there. DH even got to ride around the restaurant on a hobby horse! :rotfl2:

We were there 9/3 for dinner, our first day at WDW (we didn't do any parks that day either) and we loved it! They did all of their little jokes and gags and we loved it! The food was very good (we got the skillet..loved the pulled pork, potatoes, and cornbread!) and we loved our server (Hi Suzanne!) As long as you go in to it wanting to have fun, you'll love it!

Was there a couple weeks ago and DS4 loved it! our server was great!!!! The food though is horrible, but to be honest does anyone actually go there for the food or the atmosphere!
