WC-accessible rooms at POFQ

I have asked several questions about the WC accessible rooms, with roll-in showers, at POFQ and appreciate all the responses. I have another question after further "research"/re-reading posts. DH (WC user) and I are going to WDW with my parents (their first visit) in August. We decided early on that it would be easier to all stay at the same resort, even though DH and I love the Poly. So, I noticed in an old link to pictures of a roll-in shower room, that the rooms with roll-in showers have only 1 King bed. What are our options here? Do we need to call and change our ressie to two rooms since we have 4 people or is this something WDW will take care of for us.

We stayed last September at POFQ and we are a family of four which includes our DD (9) who is a manual wheelchair user. We opted for a standard room with a tub w/grab bars for that reason. They do not have a two bed option for a handicap accessible room with a roll-in shower. Now, my daughter makes some transfers with adult assistance and she is young so generally we manage better with a tub. There was also a reasonable amount of space for a manual wheelchair. However, if a roll-in shower was a must, we would have needed to book a connecting room to the accessible room. Not sure how Disney would have accomodated though. I would speak to their Special Needs reservations department and see what they'd suggest. All that said, we loved POFQ! Have a wonderful time :)

In one of the posts in the diABILITIES FAQs thread, there is information about resorts, which includes the phone number for WDW Special Reservations.
I would suggest calling them to get it sorted out.

Thanks Sue! I called and they weren't totally helpful :-( Everything I read here says that at POFQ/all moderates, all rooms with roll-in showers have a King size bed. The person with whom I spoke said that "most" of the rooms have K size beds and if there are 4 people in our party, they "will accommodate as appropriate". I would love to get to the bottom of it before we go, rather than be concerned about having 4 people (my parents being "pooh sized" and sharing a bed) in a room with 2 double beds. Fun times! Taking the parents has made this so much more complicated!

All the rooms with two beds will ahve only full sized beds. The rooms with a king-sized bed will have only one king-sized bed. Two king beds will not fit in a POFQ room, especially with an accessible bathroom with roll-in shower. Two king beds wouldn't have fit in the AKL accessible room my inlaws had, as the bathroom was much larger than our standard one.

Thanks! I know that the rooms at the mods have 2 Full or 1 King. My main concern is whether all fully wheelchair accessible rooms with roll-in showers have 1 King bed or 2 Full. If they have 2 Full beds, then I'll book 2 rooms to be sure we all have enough rooms. Oh the joys... Hahaha...
