Mom's fine... she just had a touch of food poisoning... Me... I'm still recovering from a stupid infection and a kidney stone... but I'm taking it easy and I've found my cute little butt pleasing pillow and it's helping.


The festival was really good... lots of food. We go every year. Haven't missed yet.


Are you talking rooms for the WBTA? Did DH book an inside room? If so... try to look up DCL and see the price difference to moving up to another deck. it might not be too much.

If this IS for the WBTA... keep an eye out towards June or so of next year - I'll probably be keeping an eye out too if I get to go... They MAY have VGT - which is Verandah Guarantee that they will offer if it's not booking well... you may be able to upgrade to a Verandah for what you are paying for an inside or the small porthole staterooms. The thing is... you have to pay it in full and you can't make any changes after... but if you are definitely going and can do it that way.. it may save you $$$$$

yes, it is WBTA, it was selling well but now few people had been cancelling so we have to wait until next year because the flight can be expensive with government tax...I am searching on internet next month for flights from San Juan and Barcelona too. Ian booked two rooms, one inside for lilian with my son and we got two small window on deck 1 which we had a good prices.

Well... I'm a veranda snob... and If I get to finally go and do my TA cruise... you can tell Ian you'll be up on my veranda sipping bubbly!!!


There was a lot of interest early on because of no WBTA this year... but people's plans change and new itineraries come up. I've just heard that they might not do Europe in '15 so no TA then.

It's on my bucket list...


Ohhh and there will be enough Champagne Girl's on the cruise that we will have to have our own private meet... we'll just crash the other one so we can brag about being the originals!!! (maybe we'll make up t-shirts!)

Hi everybody.....I'm back! Did you miss me? I certainly did miss all of you!!! I can't believe I was sick for almost the whole summer. Glad I'm in Florida now so my summer is extended. John and I got that awful intestinal virus around the beginning of July and it did not go away for good until about the third week of August. That's a long time. We were completely drained and slept a lot in between doctor appointments. We both started up with all of our doctors down here. John now has five of them and so do I. His are all at the VA and mine are all right down the road. It's good to feel better again.

I'm watching football, of course. The older Manning brother, QB of the Broncos, is winning against his younger brother who is the QB of my Giants. This game is almost over but I know we lost it coz they just got another touchdown against us. It's out of our reach now. Well, there's always next week.

I'm so excited that we will be able to get our annual passes for WDW in just two more weeks. We won't have it in the budget before that. But it will be just in time for the food and wine festival, which is our favorite thing to do at WDW each year. I told John that we're eating dinner at the World Showcase every night in October. Hahahaha!

It's a good thing that virus went away....we have lots of friends visiting the mouse soon so we can meet them and get hugs. In Oct we have Angel and Mark coming, Ros a friend of Jackie and Monica, Ann and Albert and my friend Sharon who we met on a 4 night DCL cruise. November is Jackie, Kaz and Kaylee. I can't wait to see everyone. Then before you know it.....it will be Christmas and a New Year.

It's hard not going on a cruise this year. We were used to going on at least two each year and sometimes three or four. From that to none is very hard. But I'm so happy we moved down here. I love living here.

Next year we will cruise on the Southern Caribbean out of San Juan. I'm going to love that. I can't wait!

Jan, I'm so glad that your condo sold and I'm SO HAPPY to hear the news about your second grandchild on the way. That's wonderful.

I am VERY saddened to hear the news about Charlotte passing away. I bet John is lost without her.

Michelle, I hope you're feeling better now. I'm glad the QM is home again. It's great that you're still on the downside of the scale. Keep up the great work.

Now I've moved onto lower back pain.. have had it since all the driving to Jersey back and forth... nothing seems to help and I'm supposed to drive down and back on Tuesday again. We'll see how that goes.

Friday was my last wound doctor appointment. I only have scabs left on both of my legs. The doctor says they still need to heal underneath, but there is no open wound anymore. They are dry and don't hurt. I have prescribed lotion that I have to apply to them but that's all. Then I still have to wear the stretchy coban on my legs to keep the edema down. When the scabs go away then I can go in the water. I still can't go in the tub, pool or ocean yet. I asked. They have to be completely healed and closed. So it will take a little longer, but this is the best that they have been in six years.

This week the only doctor appointment we have is me with my OB/GYN. I have a follow up appointment after taking some tests. Hopefully I'll just get the results and the will say that everything is good.

Tomorrow starts our week and Monday is Pool day.....Lazz comes to clean our pool for us. It's included in the rent.

John and I are planning on making stuffed grapevine leaves tomorrow. It's my very favorite thing to eat ever! My mom used to make it all the time. Thank goodness she taught John how to make them. He makes them good too.....just like mom's.

I love having John home with me all day. We have a good time together.
