We have a dusting as well, but as the day goes on it is melting.
Things are pretty quiet on the the current PC thread.
We haven't signed up for any of the current itineraries. The SC looks interesting. I was hoping for the Canada route again. Taking the train was very convenient.

I'm surprised there is nothing out of New York again since it was so successful. Even though I'll be in Florida, I would still cruise out of New York again.

John and I did an 11 night SC in 2006 and LOVED it!!!! It was my favorite cruise for ports....untill I did Hawaii.

 If your Thieves cannot listen and hug, then what are we here for?

DEB: How are the legs today?

MONICA: How did Saturday go?

.

The legs are a little better Jan. Thanks for asking. They are both still wrapped because they each have infections. Once they get infected it's a very slow road to recovery, but they are making some progress. It's just going to take more time for them to completely heal.

Holly- please feel free to get all blathery. That's what friends are for! I hope the pillow was the issue for your eyes since it's an easy fix.

I'm not feeling up for very much today. We went to the carpet place for a quote yesterday and it was higher than what I expected. I want to check Home Depot today to see if we can save some money by using them, but not TOO hopeful. Apparently fixing up my living room is a good deal more $$ than I thought. Grrr.

Also, I found out that Olivia has an adult tooth growing in behind her baby teeth on the bottom. So we need to get those front teeth yanked or she's headed to the dentist. She is NOT happy.

Anyway, hope everyone else is having a good holiday weekend!

I hate when I'm forced to go over budget for something. Good luck with the new living room decorating. I hope the rest of it comes in under budget.

Poor Olivia. I would be devistated if I were her. Won't the adult teeth push the baby teeth out naturally so that she doesn't have to get them yanked. That's going to hurt. OUCH!!!

This is not my weekend. So I signed up for Planet Fitness online. Typed in my zip code and made sure it said Lansing, MI. Paid my down payment and my confirmation email told me to go to my local Planet Fitness to get my membership card and T-shirt. I get there to do so and they told me somehow I signed up for a location in MARYLAND. Ugghhhh.......so now I have to call the corporate office and request a transfer. Only me. :faint:

I can understand how that happens if you had to highlight your home town. Sometimes those highlights move around on you. You think you're clicking on one of them and another one pops up. It's easily understood.

hello KrisannB

Hello Monica

hope you can make it...

Last Friday, I told Ian about Southern Caribbean which I would like to go... but early last week Ian said no more cruise until 2015..:worried:

Then he saw The Magic is BACK........WestBound TransAtlantic 2014 and he was looking at it and told me YES, go book it!! I got very surprised to hear that and I booked it last Friday and he told me that he invited his mother to come along.. that is fine, it didnt bother me as I just want go back on Magic ship oh yes:cool1::thumbsup2

I worry about Olivia *** she is back school in August so we will work out as too early yet.

Oh I cannot wait...:wave2:

Oh Magic is my favourite but we booked cheaper room *** of flight can be extra from San Juan...but along we have the cabins that dont bother us...

Good for you Deb, YAY HOORAY!!!! I would love to do this cruise too. It sounds like a great bunch of people on it.

John won't fly to Barcelona and he won't fly home from San Juan. So this cruise is out for me.

For our Valentine's Day celebration tonight when I picked Tyler up, I gave him his choices and he decided on Chinese take out and watching Hotel Transylvania. But.....on our way home after picking up the food, we witnessed a hit and run accident, so after I chased down the car to get the license plate and good description of the car, we went back and waited for the police. Good thing because the other witness wasn't able to get that info because the guy drove away so fast. Police took 25 minutes to get there. Cop was able to instantly get the guys address from the plate number and sent somebody out after him. After he smashed her car, he ran the red light she was stopped at, then swerved all over speeding up to get away and ran the next red light too. I felt so bad for the people who got hit. :( One person in the car saw him all bloody as he drove away. As hard as he hit, he must have hit his head on the steering wheel.

OMG what a great thing you and Tyler did. Amazing that you were right there when it all happened. So glad you could help that poor woman and her child.

Holly, thank goodness that baby was ok and you were there to help!

I don't understand how people get into these types of accidents and then just drive away. A good friend/mentor of mine was killed over the summer by a hit and run driver. She was walking down the road and he ran into her and just drove off to leave her for dead. They STILL haven't found the guy and think that he escaped the state/country after the accident :(

So sorry to hear this news too, Ginamarie. Such a tragedy. I'm so sorry they never found the person who did this.

Oh, and one more thing. After being with Tyler a couple hours tonight, he asks "Did somebody punch you in the face?" I said "What the heck?! Why would somebody do that? No, of course nobody punched me in the face." He says "Oh. Well, you just look different, like maybe somebody punched you. But not in a bad way." Um.....as if being punched in the face would be an improvement? :rotfl2: I just need a do-over of this weekend.

Did somebody punch you in the face, you look different, but not in a bad way???? What could he mean by all that????

At least you covered all the gray. hahaha.

Since John no longer works for the University....we lost our medical coverage. It's sad because we had great insurance and a great perscription plan. Not anymore. Now John is going to the VA to sign up for himself. I'm on Medicare. So I had to spend many hours on the phone on Friday with Medicare and AARP. I had to buy the supplemental insurance from AARP so that Medicare coverage is complete. So I got all that going and settled. Now I have to get my scripts covered. I have too many medications. So I could not do it through AARP. Now I have to call Medicare back on Monday and try to get covered by them. Our healthcare system is very confusing. Our perscription drug plan is even worse. They take each individual script and decide how much they will or will not pay. Then they have annual amounts that you can't go over. That's whey AARP didn't work for me. I went over. Some of my drugs cost more than $300 a month. WOW. I only paid $5 or $10 depending on whether or not it was generic. If I have problems getting my script covered, I won't be able to afford to take my meds. I'll have to stop taking them and I'll get sick again.

We'll see after many hours on the phone today with Medicare. I hope it all works out.

I just realized that today is President's Day. I won't be calling Medicare until tomorrow then.

The kid still has to work today. He had off Martin Luther King Day in January. In order to have that day off they had to forfiet President's Day and Veterans Day. Their Union negotiated it. Not such a good deal.....two for one.

John has off....hahaha.

It's frigid degrees out there again. 14 at our house.

New England is getting killed with snowstorms. Thank goodness it stayed up there and is not down here. It's definitely a tough winter with lots of cold and snow. It figures, because it's my last winter in PA and the last two winters were very mild.

I have another six weeks and I'll start complaining that it's too hot. Hahaha. In water or air conditioning it will be just fine.

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:
I suspect he noticed my eyebrows but just couldn't put his finger on what was wrong, LOL!

Oh no Deb!!! I hope you're able to get something worked out! How sad that they don't continue his coverage even though retired. Fingers crossed that it works out for you. This is scary.

Sorry. It's not cold here and all our snow melted long ago. Wish I could trade!

Gotta get up and take my shower and be at work in an hour.

Deb- I'm also surprised that DCL isn't cruising from NY. We weren't in a financial position to cruise with them in NY last year, but I wish we has been. I love sailing out of NY harbor and would love to do that from a Disney ship one day.

I'm sorry about the Medicare woes. I have to deal with Medicare/Medicaid with work sometimes and I always dread it- hours on the phone an very little satisfaction.

Josh is off today, and headed to a hockey game with my siblings. Olivia and Sal are visiting my in laws for a trip to a Chuck E Cheese, and I'm staying in with Owen so that he won't miss his nap. I have a lot of things to do around the house anyway, and tomorrow is back to work and calling the surgeon. :sigh: it's really cold and windy here. I can't wait for spring.

Hoping the surgeon has some helpful info! Forward progress.

It's a full moon. That's what I blame for all the craziness over the weekend. ;)
