Progress on day two.....we've got the second room half way finished. It's the dining room/kitchen area. We have a freezer in there that we'll probably take with us. My question is: What do I do with all the magnets and door magnets that are all over it from cruises? The freezer will probably go out in the garage in the FL house, so it will be unadorned. I guess I could just file all the door magnets and reuse some of the generic ones. What about all the FE magnets for all the different cruises? Do I file those away too? What do you all do with yours? Do you throw them out?

Feb 11th is the date I heard for the release of '14 dates...

& Deb... why are you paying to drag a freezer to FL? You won't be living in the middle of nowhere anymore and as mom says... there are grocery stores nearby (that's from when I used to over pack when traveling...;))

My freezer is coming to Florida because that's what me and John both want.

Just figured I'd ask cause i know you need to think about weight when moving... Luckily we moved from a condo and didn't have much else to take with us other than some things I had in storage.

OK. But I've got a $5k budget for moving expenses. I think we can allow it if we both want it. We have lots of things we're bringing with us from my grandmother's furniture, to my mom's furniture, to mine and John's things. We're getting rid of lots of things and not taking even more things, but we also have a lot to bring with us. It will be our last move in life, so we're doing it with that in mind.

there are times when I wish I had a stand alone freezer (apart from the one w/ the fridge). Most of what I eat starts out frozen. Lisa & I used to share one in MD.

I think $5K should be good...wish I could remember what I paid in 04.

WBTA 14 or 15 days......thats MY vote:rotfl2: how about an east coast arrival from Europe

Love all Karl:yay:

Robin will have her own vote lol

YES, She (me) did vote. :dance3:
OOOPS...I've got to figure out how to remove that TA logo, we didn't do that one.

Exactly Monica. It was my mom's freezer. She always had it stocked with whatever was on sale. Then when she had company, she could just go to her freezer and pull something out. Not to mention that she would cook a large size family meal for just her and Ray. Then she would freeze the leftovers and have them for another time when she didn't want to cook. So we'll do that too and get a lot of useage out of it. We use it everyday now. I can't give it up.

I have to be honest - I'm not sure how I feel about the 9nt to Alaska. I'm torn. I like the idea that there is a new stop, and that this would be a different time of year from when I went before, but not sure if I would do it. I'd have to see the numbers. China seems to be A LOT more expensive than I thought it would be.

Hi Robin, thanks for voting. It's nice to see you back over here again. I'm looking forward to cruising with you and Karl. Our reunion will be a blast!!!

of course, it goes with out saying that the main reason to go is the people!!

Maybe when we take this poll down, we should start another one asking whether people want Alaska or the Carribbean or it doesn't matter. Then we would have a better idea of exactly what the majority wants. We could also include a question about whether people want to do it in July or another time of the year.

Those seem to be the hottest topics that came out of doing this poll. Maybe we just need to do a follow up one.

MICHELLE!!!! - do you know if I can take this poll down & replace it with another one, or will it be this until this thread is closed?

John is at the store getting more boxes. We have more packing out to do of the miscellaneous glass from the dining room area, but I think we're done for today. We put everything that's going with us out on the table. We'll wrap and pack it tomorrow. We have to pace ourselves so that we can keep going. Maybe we'll take Fridays off. We're both older and starting to feel it.

Not sure if it will stay...

you are the poster of the poll.. go in and see if you can change it.

Otherwise.. I can ask a friend of mine who is a Mod if it can be changed/deleted...

Deb, $5000 sounds like a good estimate for the movers.

I haven't seen the new itineraries yet. I'll have to check that out tonight!
