Morning Thieves![]()
Peg and I are having lunch with Cheri today!Guess where? Muffins may be involved.
Ian, if I had enough vacation time left I would so be there for turkey day! Let's keep next year in mind(and we can reminisce about our Tortola cruise). I have FIVE WEEKS starting next year. This year my ex-sister in law will be coming down the week before thanksgiving for a visit. Can't wait to see her (she's the one Peg and I cruised with for the 3 day in December 07). I've schedule my last two vacation days for her visit.
There was something else I wanted to say...but can't remember. Oh well, I can always come back and post it!
Oh, once again, I love all the photos you kids have been posting!
.
They book it, but as TA's they can hold it without a deposit for a few days. You will get an email from DU with the cost and a time to have sent a deposit. Then they will ask for all the relevant personal information for them to send to DCL and then you will be able to access your reservation on the DCL site. I think we might have had 2 days for the PCRepo, but I can't remember. It wasn't very long.
Deb - thinking of you right now....Jack Hanna's show is on and they're showing Sea Turtles burying their eggss in the sand...and now the baby turtles are trying to get out to sea.
I forgot to tell ya we went to Mimi's Muffin house for dinner before the movies![]()
I ate the top of my blueberry and split the bottom between Molly & Wil. My mom took home her pumpkin for dessert

With so many sea days, I think that there's lots of stuff to plan.
On another note, we don't do the the spa, so that is not an expense for us.
Also, given the ports, I doubt we would do excursions. I'm so used to traveling in Europe and am so comfortable with it that I would just plan to do some stuff on our own.
I suppose that I also have the benefit of being tri-lingual.
I speak American, British and French!
Has Nan been posing for book covers?
I found a logo for Nan:

I'm partial to the oat bran gooey muffin myself.
The bread pudding I make is like no other. It is made with challah, that on it's own tastes almost like cake. The caramel sauce is made with heavy cream. It's incredible.
The turkey is usually free range organic, though this year I'm toying with the idea of preparing a free range organic heritage turkey. The stuffing will be a cranberry, leek and sausage stuffing.
Hmmmmm.....wonder if Peg and Cheri would want to go to a movie after lunch....The Duchess is playing at 2:05 at the theater right by the restaurant....I love me some costume dramas!!

I was awakened early this morning.
The Chicago Transit Authority (not the rock group) is working on the tracks in the alley behind us again this morning.
There is a lot of noise from work horns and banging. I think this is worse than the last time they did it.
I believe that last time they worked on the inbound tracks and this time they are working on the outbound tracks.
They start at midnight and finish at 7AM.
They'll be working on it again tonight.

That must be dreadful.![]()
I bet ear plugs wouldn't even help that.
We have some demolition going on close to us and they are mechanically hammering all the stone etc to pieces. We can hear it inside the house with the double glazed windows closed! Been going on all week from morning till night - bang, bang, bang, bang!![]()

I would soon give them more than my name, rank and serial number!!

I forgot to mention, our Blu-Ray edition of Sleeping Beauty arrived the other day.
We watched and it is INCREDIBLE in HD and 7.1 Dolby.
Are we the only Blu-Ray owners here? I ask because there is a special online feature (yes even our HD DVD players, our Playstation 3's are connected to the Internet), where you can schedule a movie night, synchronize players and watch a film together and chat online.
I'd be up for a movie night.
We'll save you some pie.
(Actually, I make an awesome pumpkin bread pudding and caramel sauce).
Apple pie is MY favorite pie---yummy!

Hmmm, might have a pumpkin muffin instead of the bread.......I'm getting hungry....70 minutes till lunch!
I LOVE THE FALL!!

OHHHHH that all sounds sooooooo delicious. You really do go all out! John is jealous, he says you like to cook the way he likes to cook. But since there's only three of us this year, it's not worth doing. That's why we're going out to eat.
I could go to a friend's house for Turkey Day, but then what do I do with Ray? I can't take him with me to a house full of strangers to him. He doesn't do well with change. I can't leave him at Mrs. Bush's and forget about him. That doesn't sit right with me. So we'll just go out to dinner with him instead.
Oh, I forgot to say, with all the 2010 cruise talk, that I used the cool ties you made Michelle. When we first arrived for a few days I was just so overheated - it was so hot and humid. It worked really well. Thank you.![]()
Deb, the complex we stayed in has a small pond with 2 turtles. When we went 6 and 5 years ago they were very small, olnly about 3" 5 years ago, and they used to shoot away when we went near. We used to quietly sneak up on them!!! This time they were about 12" nose to tail, and were not as timid. One in particular used to come over to look at us. Used to look a bitSometimes one use to dive. It was great to see them still there.
I must get some pictures up, though there aren't any of me as I felt so fat.

I have done nothing today that I can claim has been productive. I have been going back & forth btwn 3 diff threads here- trying to catch up. This one, the Tortola 9/12/09 and the 1st Baltic one. I don't know how I'm going to be able to keep this up WHEW!
Just spoke w/ my sister - she called just to say HI - she tried 4 times to see if Sydney wanted to speak to me....her response each time "no" (very clearly a no) Made me laugh.
Papa John's just opened up down the street - thinking of calling them to see if they have any grand opening specials....know I shouldn't but I really don't want to go to Publix.
Ian - your Thanksgiving day feast sounds amazing - yummy. Not sure what I'll be doing....except it looks like I'll get to meet Maureen (pit303) from the Tortola cruise that weekend as we'll both be at the Vero Beach resort.

Why do you think we invite so many people? So there's someone to cook for.
