This is the one we are looking at too...meet ya at rockin bar d!

Thanks Steph!

John and I said we'll go for a ride this weekend and take pictures of the leaves changing colors at our winery and our lake in our neighborhood. Hopefully, we'll have more colors by then. We barely started changing colors this year. Then again, this year just might not get any better than what we have now. It could be the climate this season is different from other years. I know it went from 90 during the high for the day before our vacation to 65 at the high after. It's down to 30's at night now. I was only gone ten days. There was no Fall this year. It went from Summer to Winter.

Beautiful pictures! ::yes::

One of my favorite outfits Molly wore. The doll's outfit is only availble in WDW. I think we got the Minnie dress online for Molly :thumbsup2 Look after Halloween, the go on great sales.

so cute!

There are rather a lot of these.

But my daughter wouldn't approve!!!:rotfl2:

Those are awful! They look like stripper outfits :scared1:

Thanks Monica, that is so lovely of you. I will wait till after Halloween and see if the prics drops. The disney US one is the best so far.

This is the UK one:eek:

http://disneystore-shopping.disney.co.uk/details/33626/Minnie-Mouse-Costume.aspx

The UK one looks similar to the one we bought Shaelyn and then Kaleigh wore too. It was very dressy looking. Ours was very red and the Minnie Heart was at the neck instead of the waist. But the one like Molly had would be much cooler in Florida's heat!

So funny.. I'm in the straight and flat area and looking forward to moving up to Upstate New York, near the mountains! We just need to get away from the traffic and the taxes and the congestion. So once we're ready to go, it will be upstate.

Salvatore is doing well. He feels SO much bigger over the last couple of weeks. I'm doing well, though I failed the 1 hour glucose screening and have to make an appointment to do the three hour test at a local lab. My problem is that the test has to be first thing in the morning, and that's when I'm normally in court! So yeah, they wanted me to have it done by this Friday, but there's no way I'll get there this week. I might have to wait until NEXT Saturday. Olivia loves her little brother already, and has been talking to and kissing my belly. It's really sweet. SIL had her baby a couple of weeks ago, and Olivia just LOVES him all up. I'm glad because she's seeing what a newborn is like, and she's ok with her cousin, so I'm hoping she'll be good with the little brother too :)

It will be so exciting when Salvatore finally arrives. I found it so exciting seeing Shaelyn's reaction to her baby sister. It is neat how the baby recognizes the older sibling right away from hearing their voice so much before being born.

But you're oh so cute and fuzzy!!! ;)

why no bean caserole and thank you:worship: (i guess that means I need to wax soon)

We went and saw Beverly Hills Chihuahua tonight, it was very funny :rotfl:

Hey guys guess what....I met a DISer right here in Upland. It is cool. We've been PMing back and forth and it seems like she has a teenager willing to babysit :yay:

You are so lucky!

I got on the scale this morning and found out that I lost 8 lbs. since returning from vacation a week ago. I lost the 4 lbs. that I gained on vaca plus another 4. YEAH!!!

Way to go!:cool1:

I never heard of BistroMD.

Well I am sitting down and ate Chicken Curry with Rice now, yes, I am not myself today. Feeling low but I visited my friend this morning and feeling a bit better.

I got cold sore on my lip and I know I had been stress again.

but I look forward to have holiday next week.

Scottishwee35

It sounds like you really need a vacation! Hang in there - only a week to go!:)

My jaw is still tired - not too bad, but better. Hours of holding my mouth open took their toll on me :rotfl:

I hope your feeling better Monica.:)

Some GOOD news: All this week, the teacher told us that based on what the subs all said, he's had NO problems with being overly aggressive or has been able to be re-directed. She said he's become weepy now when he gets frustrated or angry, and she needs to take some one on one time to give him a hug and some talking too and she's able to console him. I very rarely see him cry, so this is new, but we all agreed that we're FINE with this new reaction because it seems to have taken the place of the aggression/violence he used to have when frustrated or angry. MUCH more preferable! :thumbsup2 Could be related to the med switch because the timing is right.

Holly - glad to hear Tyler's making progress.

I'm back in the world of the hooked up (internet)!!!:surfweb: :worship: :yay: I have been able to read a little, but certainly not keep up. Hope all are well.

We have been very busy being retired! :lmao: :rotfl: Actually, busy selling, buying and moving to our new home. We are pretty well settled in. It is COLD here right now. Getting down in the low 20's at night. BBBRRRRR. We think we will not be able to head out in the MH until early Nov. Hopefully the we will at least find a window of opportunity to get over the passes around that time.

I sent a request for a quote to DU for the westbound TA. Hopefully we will be able to afford the airfare. That will be the deal maker or breaker. PJ  offered some options that might be reasonable. :thumbsup2

Good to hear your enjoying retirement! We're looking at the Westbound TA too!:)

Hi Marilyn - hopefully we'll see you on the Westbound too! Boy is it far away!

Good Morning all Bipeds (And Nan).

I'm back! Nothing to report.

My fast was fairly easy. I ending up going about 26 hours or so without food or water.

I was in services for most of the day, except for a 3-hour rest break in the afternoon. I went home, sat down and fell asleep.

Sukie came to the evening/concluding memorial service with me in the late afternoon.

Back to work this morning.

Hi Ian! I never knew what Yom Kippur was until you provided the link. Glad you had an easy fast :)

I hate the idea of having to put a down payment on this cruise soon though, our Canadian dollar is not heading in the right direction and plummeted today  Doesn't help that I have to pay for our trip to WDW in two weeks :sad2:

Kathe

Canadian dollar is a little scary when booking these things. It was nice when we were paying off the PC and the dollar was at par. Who knows where things will end up :confused3

Hi Bubba!
Sorry the weekend meet is starting late!

Whew - I'm all caught up:cool1:

Its been another crazy week for Ken & I. He's been home for all of 2 nights out of the last 11 and won't be home until Wed. I was fighting he flu the last 2 days, but made it through without missing work, and actually felt good tonight. The kids and I raked the yard together, they are so cute "helping" and Shaelyn is actually turning into a great helper. I'll be happy when the election is over and we can get back to our kitchen reno. My original goal was to finish it in Sept, then it was to finish it by Canadian thanksgiving, then Halloween, and now its by Shaelyn's birthday (mid-Nov).

On Monday, the contractor finished the walls, so now its just finish patching the ceiling, paint walls&ceiling, finish ripping up the old floor, put down the new floor, and then put together the cabinets. We haven't even picked out the paint yet:scared1:

Tomorrow, the kids and I are off to Prince George (where Ken is) for one night as a family, and then the kids to get have a sleepover at my sisters, so I can do a bunch of my work for the election, and then home for Holiday Monday which will likely be spent making Halloween costumes for the girls. This year Shaelyn wants to be an angel, and Kaleigh wants to be a pink fairy. Should be fairly easy to whip up.

We started giving the girls an allowance in September. Its cut back on buying stuff. When Shaelyn wants something, she can use her allowance, and she doesn't want to spend her own money :thumbsup2

So now everybody's up to date on my life, and I'm off to bed!

I forgot I wanted to share this picture of the girls, with the items Shaelyn made in her 3 pottery classes. The bowl looks great on our kitchen table filled with apples (unfortunately, the kitchen table is still in our living room :lmao: ) The mug actually works and she is sure proud of it. The 3rd item is the little one Kaleigh is holding. Its a "fruit bowl"; when she told me she was making a fruit bowl, I thought it would be a bowl to hold fruit, but its actually a little bowl of fruit. She made cherries, grapes and bananas inside it.:thumbsup2

Now, I'm really off to bed!

Hi Shannon!!!

Cute pics of the girls!!! I think they take after mom in the craft dept!!!

why no bean caserole and thank you:worship: (i guess that means I need to wax soon)

We went and saw Beverly Hills Chihuahua tonight, it was very funny :rotfl:

Ian doesn't do green bean casserole... oh well...

:confused3

Hey Shannon...

Your little green light is still on...

go to bed!!! :cloud9:

And with that... me too...

so...

HI MARILYN!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Hi Michelle, night Michelle!

Yes, doesn't it look lovely? I also read about their champagne brunch and I just told John that's where I want to go for my birthday next month. Yummy! I know they have great deserts. Guess I'll be off the diet on those days. he he ha ha LOL!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Desserts....mmmmmmmm, my favourites and biggest downfall.:rotfl2:

Nan is a sweetheart cuddle bunny.

OK a bunny with claws and fangs, but a cuddle bunny nevertheless.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Looks very nice.

I've starting planning our Thanksgiving menu. Thanksgiving is a huge holiday at our house.

How many guests?

No, there is most definitely not any green bean casserole. Nor will there be.

As a matter of fact, the china and the silver comes out for the occasion, along with the silver salt cellars, and the crystal.

Mind you, we're wearing sweat pants, but the table looks good.

We have roughly the same guests every year with some additions and deletions.

One of our guests has been flying over from the UK for Thanksgiving for the past 15 years or so.

The food is very good. The wine is very good. The conversation is very bawdy.

Do you not like green beans? I think they are one of the milder tasting green veg. Now how about Brussels sprouts?

It's official.......Gaylean wont make it tonight . :sad1: So look out tomorrow night! No tellin what pictures might be posted!!:rolleyes1

Oh what a shame.

b_191001.jpg

She looks so cute.:cutie: The dresses, shoes and headbands are on their way to Monica's house as I type!!! I think even the ones we are getting will be hot to wear next May/June anyway to be honest, but ok over here.

I have put in a request for the first Baltic at the moment as I thought that would be the busiest and would get more expensive quicker. Whilst I don't think any of the cruises will sell out like our Repos did, I thought the TA's would be the most likely to not increase so much and give us more time to think things over. I'm like Jackie and can't make up my mind. We will see.

:lmao: Well, I have had room service...but not to the spa :thumbsup2
If we can't count on Sukie, maybe we could just borrow his cane :rolleyes1
Hmmm....as far as the cute bartender...Ian, I think you need to start planning a sequel to "Shots around the Ship" for us ;) or whatever it was called?

Kathe

With so many sea days, I think that there's lots of stuff to plan.

On another note, we don't do the the spa, so that is not an expense for us.

Also, given the ports, I doubt we would do excursions. I'm so used to traveling in Europe and am so comfortable with it that I would just plan to do some stuff on our own.

I suppose that I also have the benefit of being tri-lingual.

I speak American, British and French!

Is it worth round trip airfare?

...just kidding...

Peg sent me a link to a place to have T-day dinner caterd. I nearly had a stroke when I saw the 12-14 pound turkey was $70! :scared1: One pie...$15-18 :scared1: . Turns out it was from the hoity-toity chef at The Citadel....but still :sad2: I think Boston Market does a turkey dinner to go...WITH green bean casserole.

Today I've been freaking about the Baltic. Having to come up with full payment in early February just ain't gonna happen...even charging it with the Disney Visa...won't be paid off before the 0% interest ends. Now this is the complete opposite of how I felt yesterday. Guess I just have to wait and see what the magic numbers are for our 3-share. ::yes::

.

Jackie ... if you and Dianne want to come for Thanksgiving ... should I plan to set out some places for you?

British will do at a pinch in Madeira(we coped with a bit of sign language too!!!) and Gibralter methinks.

I was awakened early this morning.

The Chicago Transit Authority (not the rock group) is working on the tracks in the alley behind us again this morning.

There is a lot of noise from work horns and banging. I think this is worse than the last time they did it.

I believe that last time they worked on the inbound tracks and this time they are working on the outbound tracks.

They start at midnight and finish at 7AM.

They'll be working on it again tonight.

I found a logo for Nan:

That must be dreadful. :headache: I bet ear plugs wouldn't even help that.

We have some demolition going on close to us and they are mechanically hammering all the stone etc to pieces. We can hear it inside the house with the double glazed windows closed! Been going on all week from morning till night - bang, bang, bang, bang!:headache: :headache: :headache: I would soon give them more than my name, rank and serial number!!

I forgot to mention, our Blu-Ray edition of Sleeping Beauty arrived the other day.

We watched and it is INCREDIBLE in HD and 7.1 Dolby.

Are we the only Blu-Ray owners here? I ask because there is a special online feature (yes even our HD DVD players, our Playstation 3's are connected to the Internet), where you can schedule a movie night, synchronize players and watch a film together and chat online.

I'd be up for a movie night.
