alright don't start calling me names :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: should we go together to the grocery

Silly is just one of my endearment terms for you. :lovestruc

Yeah, we could take the boys back home after brunch and then us girls can go do the shopping.

I don't have time to go and correct much, so I bet I type loads of rubbish!

Who's calling who silly? Sounds like each of you have called each other silly!!:lmao:

Well, I wanted to call you a ding dong, but didn't want to steal Bubba's line! :rotfl:

Bye, I'm headed out for lunch.

Oh...by the way, I just had a meeting with one of the partners and it's official, I can stay. No pay raise until my yearly review the end of March, but that's fine with me! I'm just relieved they didn't get mad at me being so wishy washy.

Can they put that in writing that you WILL get that raise???

 Marilyn, welcome back. you were most assuredly missed.

Thanks Venetia. I miss being here. I think there would be more pages to catch up on than just before the cruise - so chatty these days!

Only have 5 mins left. It is free, but we have to collect a password and it is for and hour. I think when it is busy they charge €4-50.

So, bye for now folks. Have a good day/evening. I'll pop on soon.

OH MY GOSH, I just realized something REALLY funny! I didn't notice it at the time. When the newly volunteered Cubmaster told us all she still needs somebody to be the Popcorn Kernal and a den leader for Bears, Tyler turned to ME (not his dad) and excitedly asked, "Are you going to be den leader?" I told him that the Tigers already have a den leader and pointed her out to him. She volunteered before I decided whether I wanted to. He was sad, but I told him maybe next year I can volunteer quicker.

OK, I guess it's not funny, but sort of sad. Tyler never thought to ask his dad because he KNOWS his dad doesn't want to be involved in anything. :sad2:

Anyway after everybody left and I was helping with cleanup, the Tigers den leader told me she saw/heard what Tyler asked me and saw his excitement at the possibility. She told me she really only volunteered because the guy at that parents meeting volunteered for Wolves, and the other woman at that parents meeting volunteered for Cubmaster and possibly Popcorn Kernal, and she didn't want her to get stuck with everything, so she volunteered for Tigers to ease the Cubmaster's burden a bit. She told me she'd be happy for us to be co-leaders and take turns doing the meetings! :yay: I told her I'd need her to tell me what to do because I know absolutely nothing and she assured me it will be easy since there are only 4 boys in Tigers. Tyler's going to be SO excited!
How great for you and Tyler! :yay:

When we did Cub Scouts we made it "known" subtly and overtly that Tigers was a diad commitment, each boy had a parent or grandparent at meetings.

Wolfs and Bears were best led by Dads since they were once boys but Moms "could" do it.

HOWEVER DADs WERE REQUIRED to lead WEBELOS. By the time a group of boys was ready for Webelos--we AMAZINGLY :);):) had Dads ready and WILLING to lead.

We also implied that a Mom could be Cub Master, but it was BETTER if it was a Dad.

I think it made a difference because we gradually got them ready and by then they were psyched and actually had FUN.
Many Dads then went on to Boy Scouts with the boys.

Yes, but will you be working with the Energizer Bunny now? Hope so.

I just had the tastiest lunch...Lasagna Rollatini. Lasagna cheese rollup with tomato four cheese sauce and mixed veggies. VERY yummy ::yes:: though I wish I had a green salad to go with it. Maybe I'll sneak out and get a side salad from somewhere....but that might be dangerous, so I'd better just plan on getting supplies at the grocery store tonight. Who knows what could pop out of my mouth if I went to McDonalds drive through. "I'd like one side-saaaaa.......small fries, please." :lmao: Breakfast was a bust...threw it out...vanilla doghnut/chocolate cream thingie...bleck. And one of my favorites, talapia, for dinner tonight. BTW I've lost 3 lbs already (though a nice loss the first week is pretty much to be expected.

.....back to the salt mines.......

:scared1: are you going to be moving to a different part of the office? She must not have been notified by the lawyers that you are staying. Aren't you going to be doing work for a differnt lawyer in the office?
It wasn't official yet. The lawyers hadn't had time to have that discussion yet, so the office manager didn't know. The one partner had to get approval from the other partners for me to stay. One of them was hesitant because he's afraid I'll do this again in 2 months. I told him NOPE! The guy I spoke with told me he wouldn't be mad even if I did because he feels people need to go where it's best for them and their family's needs.

I sent my email to the other guy telling him I'm not coming to work for him. I was honest with him.

No, I'm not moving to another part of the office. The guys I'll be working for are the same I've been working for, just unofficially until now. Besides, our office is just a "U" shaped hall, and not big enough to really bother moving anywhere. Plus there's nowhere to move because all 4 secretary desks are taken. The new girl will stay on and will be a backup person all over the office when things get too busy and for sick days and vacations. :thumbsup2

OK Holly if you're out there please post. I'm freaking out  Did they just boot you out?
:rotfl2: They didn't, the office manager just didn't know yet that I'm staying and wanted to just start moving the new girl to my desk now while we have time instead of Monday or Tuesday which might be busier days. It's OK, really! I'm still here!

You mean like this
