WUSSS!!!!!Her champagne brunch is WAY longer than anyone elses, so she couldn't think of smart a s s remarks quick enough to keep up with us! I quote from her phone call" Thisssss jussst(hiccup) isssnt anyyyy(hiccup) fun! I can't keeeep up(hiccup)" !

V's making green chili chowder w/ chicken and some left over spanish rice thrown in. We bought a bunch of packaged soups at the Harvest festival last year. You just add part water ,part chicken broth and what ever else you want to throw in like the can of costco chicken and the rice. Yummy!!!

We made it fun though. We had a bag of mini-rice cakes, the caramel flavor, in the car, and Tyler had a bottle of water, so we made a snack out of that. Then he told me the first 2 guys who tried to help are just like the Good Samaritans he learned about in Kingdom Kids at church. I used it as a lesson and told him that's right, and that's why we need to help whenever the opportunity comes up because you never know when you might need help, and that I know this will work out just fine because off all the people we help whenver we can, it's just our turn right now. We saw about 8 tow trucks pass us while waiting, on their way to pull others out, but he finally told me, "Mom, I know the tow truck is on its way down the road and the next one you see will be coming here, and I know he'll help us even though you don't have your money with you." I told him, well, we can only hope, and he told me, "No, I just know because I can feel it." RIGHT as he finished that sentence the tow truck came. I couldn't decide whether I should be happy at his optimism or spooked by how sure he was and then what he said would happen DID.

What an adventure you and Tyler have had today, Holly. I'm glad you're both home now and safe and dry.

I was just as wet as if I'd jumped into a pool with my clothes on! Brrrrr!!!

Well, I'd better hit the hay so I can think clearly tomorrow, since I left Friday with still a whole day worth of work sitting on my desk, and the attorney works on weekends, so there will be TWO days work of work sitting there when I get there in the morning.
