OK, I don't like the strange noises I'm hearing coming from the area where my washer & dryer are. If there's a mouse back there I'm gonna be SO TICKED OFF!

Well, I'm going to go be a couch potato for a bit and head to bed. Today was hectic and tomorrow will be worse because 1 secretary is on vacation and 1 is taking the day off, leaving me and one other secretary for 8 attorneys. I've been assigned to work for SIX of them and the other secretary will work for TWO.

I've been a saint this week in keeping with under 1200 cals.

But I'm hating it right now, I want some comfort junk food...

I was asking Paul last night if he was upset about me being so tired this week and if he was prepared for this not to go away anytime soon. He believes it will be worth it in the end. I'm not so sure.

Still here, forgot to share one cute thing. After showing Tyler the pictures of the Magic in drydock, all lifted out of the water, on the way to school one morning he told me this must be when the people in the character costumes get to take the costumes off. Well, at least I think they're just people in costumes. But I'm not really sure what to believe." I sadly thought UH OH, here comes the beginning of the end. I asked him what he thinks and he told me he doesn't know. I told him, "Well, I want to believe the characters are real in my heart, so that makes them real to me. What do you want to believe?" And of course, he said, "That they are real, so they're real to me too!" It was kind of sad, but kind of cute at the same time.

I think the ones interested in Baltic 2010 are: Marilyn, Deborah,Gydell, Monica, Tammy......so far.......and you. I probably will be skipping that one even though I would love to see you all again. The flight is going to be a killer for John to do and it'll probably be expensive on top of the cruise. My disposable income shrunk since spending so much on Ray (stepdad) every month now. I'll have to be happy with Tortola in 09 to see as many of you as possible. I'll miss you all in 2010.

Hey Jacks, I think you have to call it in by Wed and then you get it the following week.....for your area, it would be on Friday. So if you call tomorrow then you miss the Wed cut off for this week and will probably have to wait until the following Wed order and then delivery the following week on Friday. Does that make any sense? I hope so. But see what they tell you when you call. Good Luck!

Keep up the good work Nan.......you're doing GREAT!!!! It's not easy and it requires a lot of will power and determination, but remember you're doing it for your health and then the added benefit is that you'll look great too!!! We're real proud of you!

A catch-up on me--

My sisters and I are driving over to Laguna Beach tomorrow for a sisters' beach trip. Since my nephew's wedding got called off, we decided we should just do something else (everyone had already cleared their schedules for the weekend, except for me because I don't HAVE a schedule! ) But seriously...

So we're staying 3 nights. I'm really excited! When I was a kid, our family always "went to the beach" for 2 weeks in the summer so that's what vacation is to me.

Didn't think I'd be going west on I-10 again so soon, but hey...someone else is driving! Jackie, I hope I can convince them to stop for a pretzel dog at Auntie Anne's!

It sounds like there's a LIST forming for the 2010 Baltic...? That would be very cool! I've never been to Europe at all.

I have very big gaps in my reading on the thread & don't think I'll be able to go back and fill them in. Hi to everyone and you'll see more of me next week when I return.

For all that were interested: My fingerprints are not in yet and I'm so mad. The other lady that is going to do my job started already and she was hired 2 days after me. So maybe I'm a mass murderer and forgot about it! I called the school district to find out if there was anything I still needed to do and the lady yelled at me. She said "I told you not to report until I called and told you that you were clear". I have to take my kids to school and that is the only reporting that I have done They ask me when my finger prints will be in and I say "I don't know". Does that sound like reporting to anyone?

The other bad news is that Ethan's teacher's wife is a flight attendant and they have 3 young children. I knew at Back-to-School night that it was going to be a problem because he told us that he was pretty much a single parent. I overreacted and Jon calmed me down. They have been in school for three weeks and the teacher has been out 8 times. He is gone this entire week and he missed three days before this. I'm his room parent and parents are coming up to me trying to get a schedule to volunteer and I can't even help them because he hasn't given me the numbers to call everyone and how can he if he is never going to be there. I'm concerned. I'm hoping it gets better because I don't want to be "THAT" mom that has her child switched every year. I owe the last two teachers for Ethan's education. They really helped him and cared a lot about him. I don't think having different subs is going to be in his benefit.

What a pain about the fingerprints!!

I can't believe a teacher can take so many days off work. I think it is so important for children to have continuity at young ages.
