Ok everyone... time to be serious for a moment...

Please bow your heads and say a prayer that my ditzy sister comes to her senses and decides to leave this weekend or before in lieu of Ike planning on coming to make a visit at her house...

Since we have left the guest quarters at our Houston Palace... the guest room is open and it appears that Ike has decided it might be a nice time to visit...

Since I am sure that by now... my nephew has polished off all of the left overs and the chocolate chip cookies that the queen mum has made... please offer up a good word that my sister has the sense to get water, canned goods and lots of chocolate for their ordeal... and a flashlight better than the Howdy Doody one they had to grab at the mini mart on their way out of town last time.

Please also pray that she has the sense to send my nephew to ME and not my brother if he has to go someplace to go to school if his school is under water, etc... WE at least have food in the house... my brother as my niece will tell you has CONDIMENTS!!!

I did however leave my inflatable raft (a nice 5 foot hot pink number) at the house - it is hoped that they will not have to use it to row down the street - but if you happen to see 3 people on a hot pink raft in Houston...it's mine...

I have sent all the precautionary warnings to said sister. She really is the smart one in the family, but as I've observed... the smart ones in our family don't always have the sense to come in out of the rain... literally...

She said that they really don't have to leave unless it's a cat 4... I'd be out of there at a nice rainstorm... it is flat... not much drainage and it's on a bayou... I told her to drop the level on the pool if they just get rain. and she said it's ok.. it will drain into the street... I told her the street will be draining into her house...

So... please lift you eyes and give a good word to the Lord that he should keep an eye out for the family... and all others... I am quite attached to my nephew and would like to see him grow up and have kids that I can teach all the incredible wacky and nutsy things I taught him...

Thank you very much..

Nan... we're having tea with the Queen, right??? Will have to bring the diplomatic corps with us, though... We really should meet with Liz... find out what she carries in her purse... :goodvibes

Don't know what else to say!!!

So Marilyn... when we take you with us... don't forget to swipe some of the hand towels and whatever else you can find in the ladies room... BRING A REAL BIG PURSE... NOW I know what she does with the purse!!!! The queen needs toilet paper... ;)

I'm leaving if we're getting serious :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Just kidding, I'll keep her in my prayers.

I would call her but she won't give me her number :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It sounds like you had a nice weekend. I was gone the entire weekend and now I'm doing :laundy:

I'm afraid you can't blame your sore throat on Bubba unless Nan gave it to you through text.

I think it's the cooler weather we're having... And Nan's texts... :rotfl:

OK guys, I'm trying to work in my quiet house and here you guys are over here chatting it up. I'm not supposed to be dissing.

I thought maybe she made you sit there!

How was the trip home? What time did you leave DL?

We were exhausted.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm back to my real job, not the fun jobs.

Yes, we were pretty solid on the fact that the people on the WB we're nuts to go in August because of hurricane season. Then it turned out that ours was rougher than there crossing. 2 of us don't get sea sick no matter what, but it is the creaking of the ships walls and joints all freakin night that made us crazy. And the loss of time was horrible. Since we've done 2 TA's 2 years in a row we won't be doing another one.

Kelly what room did you guys have???

I thought it was a lovey idea  no stop laughing and tell us the color scheme for my party :yay:

Tea party???

your sister is nuts:scared:

Um....Yup... :sad2:

I'm leaving if we're getting serious :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Just kidding, I'll keep her in my prayers.

ya me too, ha ha. I talked Paul into taking me to lunch, see I told you I was going to get crabby and really hungry. I'm planning an omelette and coffee diet food right????

back later.:surfweb:

She is stubborn for sure. I hope and pray she heeds the warnings.

First of all, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad that I am not the only one who does laundry that way!!! Holly...we have too many people in the family to let the dryer hold it all! Gaylean....mine sits in baskets on my bedroom floor....or on the chair in the bedroom....or on the table....or just on the floor! :lmao: :lmao: But, it is getting put away this week. When I do get totally caught up, I am shocked at how many clothes we all have and wonder where I would put them all!

Michelle...I hope your sister will be ok and get out of the way. My friends parents live in Naples, FL and they won't ever leave...they always buy chips, salsa and tequila for every hurricane and just sit back and watch....but they have never been through a bad one yet.

Nan....great job hitting the class today!!!!

Ok, back to work....I'm with Kelly...all this chatting makes it difficult to focus on real work! :thumbsup2

Yes... I agree... and she is the reason I have grey hair... Ok.. so it's genetic and she has it too.. but she's adding to my coloring bill the last 2 weeks!!!

I'm tired.

Me too and I haven't gotten anything done yet today...

Have you all seen this? A webcam with the Magic in dry dock. They have moved it slightly and not as much is showing as before. I wish we could see details.

Hey... that's my friends old station he used to work for... :goodvibes

Kaylee... I pick from the clean clothes in the basket too... I have dressers... not sure what they are for... :lmao: I think I like the new way of doing things... convert a whole room in your house to a walk in (or in my case... step over the baskets...) and have less furniture in your room...

& no... tequilla won't work with her... me maybe... but not her... ;)

So, you know those "get to know your friends" surveys you get in emails? One came around recently....and one question was what was on your closet floor.....I answered my wardrobe and all my friends were shocked and answered shoes! What is wrong with my girlfriends up here...don't they know closet floors are clean and a great place to store clothes?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think there are far more people who have closets like ours... :goodvibes

Actually I think my private dressing room is the laundry room!!!! :thumbsup2

HEY....

I FOUND MY TIARA!!!!

in the archeological dig called my office... (I'm getting it ready just in case my nephew has to come live with us... ) I have discovered a whole bag of stuff I got out at DL and lo and behold... there was the crown jewels!!! How careless of me... :sad2: :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

back from lunch, egg white omlette with green pepers, onions, & avacado (no cheese) hash browns and sour dough toast and water (no coffee). It was wonderful. Why does food taste so good when you exercise, it's just a curse I tell you a curse. Now the house cleaner is gone and I want to nap but I have to get Molly at 2pm then Wil @ 3pm. I think I'll suck up to Paul and see if he will get the girlie for me...:cloud9:

Nan... stop gettin fresh with Paul... you need to pickup the kids in 40 minutes... ;)

btw... very good with lunch... and it's not the excercise...your starving!!! It will go away soon... I'm sure Ian would tell you that... :flower3:

ok time to hit the road kids! Have a great night....I have found a new website I am hooked to...websleuths. They have a whole forum dedicated to Caylee Anthony - the 2 year old missing from Orlando.....the searchers were called off this weekend. I hoep they found something.

So your involvement with the election is volunteer stuff outside your regular job? HOLY COW, how do you guys do it all?!

You have too much going on. I'm starting to think that you are the type of person that likes to stay too busy ;)

I just have poor sense of how big something is until I'm already in the middle and its too late to go back. I was hoping the election wouldn't happen until next year. I volunteered to do this stuff, because I wanted some financial work and another reference for my resume. I'm a woman on a mission. Eventually I will find a new job so I can quit this one.

not only did I sleep like a log, but NOW after Torture Class (yes Boot Camp) I'm ready to take another nap, but I can't since my house cleaner is in the house I have to sit at my desk...:scared1:

again, that stupid boot camp. I haven't eaten today and it is allready 11:30!!! This is a problem because I'll be starving soon and then will eat crap food. CALGON TAKE ME AWAY. and I'll go on that cruise ;)

So do you have to go every day for boot camp? They don't let you eat :scared1: :scared1: That's not healthy, you need to eat breakfast.
