Hi Holly
Unfortunately, I'm heading to bed shortly so won't be getting caught up tonight. I'm exhausted once again! We had Serenity's birthday party at my daughter's house today. I can't believe she is a year old tomorrow!!!

How is Tyler? How is he settling in to school? Hope you're both doing well!

Kathe
Aww, I hope you enjoyed the birthday party! Hard to believe she'll be a year old. :goodvibes

I'm doing great, but Tyler's not doing well in school. He's been in the principal's office most days for in-school suspension for violence and threatening others. :sad2: I told his dad I'm ready to send him to boot camp. (Joking of course.) Increased the dose of his med and have an appointment with the psychiatrist on Thursday to discuss. That's about it.

Is anyone seriously considering booking a cruise for 2010? I thought I was :confused3 but with the new speculations of times and places I'm not so sure  I'm a little afraid of both an April and Sept TA crossing. I would really love to go on a Baltic cruise BUT don't know if I could really swing it financially and don't know if I would be dissappointed in the weather. I had thought of doing the EB TA then the first cruise after that. But if it's April as speculated then it will be even cooler  I do like my pool time relaxing in the sun ;) I may have to just wait until 2011.

 Holly, sorry you've had a rough start. Hang in there  as I know you will! It may take a little while to get the meds right but you will!

But I'm not ready for a new thread :sad1: I'm just getting further and further behind :sad2:

I do want to say hi to everyone before we all say goodbye to this thread :grouphug: I think of everyone here often, even if I don't get a chance to post too often anymore.

Kathe

Kathe, I was just thinking about you today when I realized we were almost ready for a new thread. I though, "Oh no, she's missed almost all of this one, too!" Don't feel bad, I've missed big chunks of it, too!:thumbsup2

I'm undecided, too.

Yippee! Tyler just came to me with a piece of paper to show me he just wrote a 3, 2, and 5. I wondered why things were so quiet, it's because he was in his room practicing. He used to have a horrible time with those numbers because of the curves. His hand just wouldn't go that way. I was so excited and knew he did it without looking at anything to see how they go because there's nothing in his room with numbers on it! He was all happy and told me he was practing with the resource teacher and that's how he learned. It's such a huge thing for him to be able to write something from memory. He hasn't been able to before, other than his first name and "mom".

Bless his heart! Good for him!

One year, when I was teaching, I decided to learn calligraphy. I took a class from a woman in her home with a few other people. I had this huge "Aha" moment as I was struggling to learn to write the letters and needed to have my alphabet in front of me all the time to refer to--this was exactly the way it felt to be a Kindergardener or first grader learning to write! It was a very powerful experience for me--and I'd already been teaching 20 years at that time and had taught writing to dozens of kids. At that moment I realized just how hard it is. My hand would cramp up, I'd leave letters out of words, words out of sentences, and it was SO laborious! I've never forgotten it!

 Thanks Cheri. Sometimes I just wish time would stand still...not so much because I love where I am in life at this moment, but just to give me a moment to catch up and take a breath!

I'm undecided, too.

I am so thankful that I (we!) at least have Tortola and the B2B to look forward to in 2009 :thumbsup2

Kathe...

One good thing is you can sort of skim through some of the overnight parts... ;)

Well, I'm too tired to read or skim any more tonight! Hope everyone has a good night. I'm off to bed. See you all on the next thread :thumbsup2

HI MARILYN!!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

We have a new thread... but don't worry about it until later on today when they close this one... I'm sure it won't have more than 20 pages by then...

I just saw this quote on a sig on another thread and for SOME STRANGE REASON it made me think of some of my cruise mates....

Once in Africa I lost the corkscrew and we were forced to live off food and water for weeks. -Ernest Hemingway

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Here you go... which Princess are you???

I ended up being Belle... maybe I like tall hairy guys... ;)

You're Ariel!

You have the heart of a rebellious teenage girl. In your struggle to assert your independence, don't forget all your family does for you. You might have materialistic tendencies. It wouldn't hurt to take stock of your possessions and give all the things you no longer use to Goodwill. Everyone finds your youthful, innocent good looks attractive, but remember that you have a mind (or at least a voice), too. You are totally in love with the sea and would do well with a man who also loves the outdoors

Nailed me pretty good on that one, except that red hair thing ::yes::

Ian may the force be with you!!!

& I saw a Smart at Walmart last night... not as cute as Mrs F. of course!!! :goodvibes

We keep seeing them all over now, I think we need a Smart car game like "gotta bug". you play that don't you?
