One of the good things we found with booking a QM2 Transatlantic was that the return air fare was like half the return fare. When we try to book a one way air fare ourselves, it can be much more than the return fare!!!:confused3  You can also book the flight some time away from the cruise, and if you want a different airport to their norm, you only pay a small deviation fee.

So for example, you could get a flight over to London 3 weeks before the Transatlantic home, and do a N Europe cruise during that time. Trouble is you would have to fly down from NY!

Something to consider! Especially if I can talk JACKIE into spending 1 week in our cottage :lmao: (in Norfolk). I may have to really think about that...

Not sure when their schedule for 2010 comes out. It was actually April this year for next year which I think is very late!!!

How can anyone hate how nice the food is????:confused3

She is weird. She doesn't eat steak or fish and she only eats chicken. She was disappointed they didn't have more Mexican food and Italian and comfort food. She said her idea of an appetizer is buffalo wings not es cargo. I ate fish or steak every night and by the end I was a little tired of it. We eat all different types of food here so it was different.

Nothing wrong with them at all - I've just been to most of those places so I want to go somewhere different.

They are GREAT places to go to...I LOVE ITALY and recommend going there 100%.

Well that is on the top of my list!

That wouldn't be an issue - I may use mileage for a plane ticket, but even for purchasing a ticket rates/availability don't come out until (I think) 325 days prior to travel date.

I'm hoping that the other cruise lines will bring out their 2010 itins/rates in October too.

I figure the cruise would be the most expensive part and the part that would benefit the most out of booking early.

Even if I wasn't there - I would LOVE to help you plan....just like the MK for me - I love to share my favorite places in the world w/ my friends. :goodvibes

I'll remember that. I can't wait until the itinerary comes out.

Would love to! Wasn't planning on the next time there being on a cruise. I loved where Gydell stayed.

Me too. She did say you would have to have a car to go to town. When I did tripadvisor it said there was a town close. I really liked town so I don't know.

I think I'll be driving everyone crazy until the new itins come out - just like I did when waiting for the announcement for the PC cruise.

October 7th, right??

I know you're driving me crazy :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

There is no way. Weren't you complaining earlier about how I haven't been here :confused3

Harry always gets teased at work about our DCL cruises and WDW trips. It's hard to explain our obsession with the mouse. People just don't understand.:confused3 We figure it's their loss.:goodvibes
I agree! :thumbsup2

I know how you can save yourself some money Gaylean. I know of a nice little place called San Filipe!:rolleyes1 Or the Colorado river is pretty nice too!!!:duck:

Love ya!!!!!!:love2:

Well, Tyler had a nice 2 hour nap, so now we're off again. Have to go get his school supplies. Well, I should say supply, singular. :rotfl: On his list the only school supplie is 4 black dry erase markers. The rest is stuff like a box of kleenex, hand sanitzer, disinfectant wipes, ziplok bags, and THAT'S IT. Very nice! I've heard of some school requiring students to bring everything, even pencils and papers. Not us though. :thumbsup2

Not that it matters - HI Bubba!!!

Why do I need to save money? I think we'll be in San Felipe in October and a few more times this year and I'm sure the river will be in our plans for next summer. Are you saying you want to come along ;)

I love old musicals too. I remember watching them on TV.

I remember when I was 13 years old, going to my first Broadway musical. It was Man of La Mancha, and I was captivated. For me, it was like magic.

I got the Broadway cast recording and played the record until it wore out.

I can still sing the entire show of Man of La Mancha.
I too love the old musicals. My favorite it Camelot. I could sing the entire show. I use to listen to the sound track for hours when I was in about 4th grade.

I wouldn't mind this either. I'm just confused and feeling pressure from too many people :lmao: :lmao:

Hey, no pressure from me!!!

No pressure here. You go where you want to go. I release you from your promise to go to Alaska.

Jon is starting to wonder if he has any say in where we decide to go. He thinks I'm crazy because I want EVERYONE to be on one cruise or another and that just isn't going to happen :sad1:

As great as that thought is, it won't happen. Some maybe, but getting us all to agree on the perfect trip is not possible.:sad1:

Finally you are here. I've been talking about you all day ;)

yes I'm finally here. I was up late unlike some people I know.:rolleyes1 Jon wanted to come over for tri-tip and tequila.:goodvibes but someone passed out on the couch.;)

Don't encourage him...he's throwing things at me :lmao:
