Holly email them to me and let's see if I can post them, they are photos you want to post here right?
Thanks Kelly! I was about to take you up on that, but thought I'd try photobucket one more time, and for some reason, it's working today. Not sure what the heck was going on there for 2 days, but it seems fine now.

So......from a couple days ago, making special "back to school" cupcakes, or "pupcakes" as Tyler calls them:

I'm here and it has been crazy the last few days. Brooke's birthday turned out alright. I don't think I'll ever wait until 2 days before school starts to have a party. Ethan didn't get his hair cut or a new back pack. I feel bad because, when I dropped him off, I realized none of the other kids had character back packs this year :scared1: I went searching last night but everything is picked over. I guess I'll try again this weekend. Brooke woke up screaming at 3:00 am on Sunday night because her tooth hurt. She didn't stop for hours but insisted on going to her first day of 1st grade. I told her to call me if the motrin wore off and explained to the teacher the situation. Well she told the teacher her tooth hurt and she sent her to the office and the office told Brooke that they didn't call moms for teeth pain :scared1: I already love this teacher! Our dentist is closed on Mondays so she has an appointment today but I'm not sure if they will work on her because she woke up this morning with a fever and a sore throat. So she is home today because I apparently can't trust the school to call me if there is an issue.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.
 Gaylean, I hope things are going better by now, in all areas. What a crappy couple of days. I'd ask how Brooke's tooth is, but I'm sure you posted an update already, so I'll soon find out. :thumbsup2

Oh I had a hangover on Sunday. Don't tell anyone but I'm getting old. And the good news is that I get to do it all over again on Saturday because my friend invited all my friends over to her house.

Brooke is 6 so she is in 1st grade. I'm not excited to get back into a routine....ok I'm not happy that our beach days are limited :lmao: I just wish summer was four months long :rolleyes1 It was so nice when they were younger and they didn't "have" to go to school. Oh well I'll get over it. It's nice to see my mom friends again and socialize with someone with my voice instead of typing!

Speaking of that, I have some news. The school called me last week and wanted to know if I wanted a job. It isn't much but I'll basically get paid now for doing what I was already doing. I guess volunteering pays off in the end. My old boss was here on Saturday and I didn't mention working to him but he did say we should get together this week so who knows :confused3 It is a lot more money but depending on how much work he has, I could do both.

I'll let everyone know about the dentist.
Great news on the job front! Keep us posted on which you choose, or both!

Uh oh.....VERY bad news. When I rest my wrists on my computer right below the keyboard, the screen flickers to blue and back. I think something else on it is dying soon. You've all been with me through it's many illnesses and have all been watching it die a slow death, so I'll be sure to send you all an invitation to its funeral. :rotfl2: But I'll keep using it until it truly dies!

Holly, it's Capt Thord doing a 2 minute 'through the Panama Canal' podcast.
I don't know if it's from 2005 our our cruise.

I think I'll go look at it again......

I just got an email from a lawyer at a small firm wanting to interview me. The email actually came on Monday, but I didn't check my email until just now! He told me he'd like to interview me this Thursday! Even though my current employer just gave me better things (most important to me is the flexible schedule), I still will interview elsewhere because I do need insurance for Tyler. He does have insurance through his dad, but it would be nice to have a secondary insurance to pick up what his dad's doesn't. That's what we had when I worked for UPS and with my insurance as secondary, we didn't have any medical bills. It was very nice and would be oh so helpful to have something like that again. :thumbsup2

Oh, we went up to Tyler's school today to meet his 1st grade teacher. Open house is tomorrow during his karate graduation, so we just stopped in today instead. This is the teacher his kindergarten teacher picked for him. We both really liked her immediately. She hasn't read anything from his IEP yet, but I filled her in on the relevant info. The school social worker happened to be walking down the hallway and popped in when she saw us. She told Tyler she's heard through the grapevine that he's doing much better at staying in control and he started telling her about an incident at the summer program. She told him, "You know, none of that matters anymore because that's behind us. This is a new school year, a new classroom, and a brand new start for this new Tyler. You're going to have a great year!" They're all so supportive. :thumbsup2

He got to pick out his desk and she showed him all the things around the room that she'll be showing everybody else at open house tomorrow, so it was good that he got the one on one info from her. We saw the class list and there are 5 or 6 kids from his kindergarten class, one is his best buddy Tolkien and one girlfriend Julia, so he's super happy! And now he's excited. He was nervous about having a new teacher and not knowing what to expect, so I'm glad we were able to do this today.

Regarding the discussion earlier on future cruises and who would go where and when, as long as finances allow, we're going on whichever cruise has the most of you! :grouphug: I don't care about the ports, the best part for me is just being on the water. So, I'm going to sit back and follow the discussions and will jump in at the end. ;)

I'm freaking out and I should have never played with you last night :scared: The only time I sat down today was on the toilet. Ethan decided to clean his room by shoving everything under his bed. I hope no one looks under there because there is no time now. I have to go freak out some more and take some Valium...I mean have a drink!

:rotfl2: Oh, how BOY of him! :rotfl:

How did it go? The party and the stuff under Ethan's bed :confused3

Jan :earsgirl:

I just had a brainstorm idea for my bedroom! OK, my bed is one of those twin size ones that has 2 layers of drawers underneath. The drawers are only on one side, so 1/2 of the space under my bed is wasted. I tried having it out from the wall a bit, but it was just too awkward to get around it because the room isn't much longer than my bed, so it was hard to walk around the end of the bed. I was thinking, if I put it in one corner stretching diagonally across the room, I'd still have room at the opposite corner for a corner computer desk, then I'd have the other 2 corners/sides of the room for a dresser and other stuff, AND I'd be able to access the space underneath the bed for storage!

Not sure if I described that right, but I think it will work. Now I need to do some measuring to figure out which corner to have the front of the bed. I think I know and will spend this weekend rearranging! Tyler will love helping with that. He loves moving heavy stuff around and his OT says heavy pushing and pulling is very, very good for his sensory issues. :thumbsup2

.....Holly just hang that sucker from the ceiling and you'll have plenty of floor space!!! :rotfl: .....

:cool1: HAMMOCK :thumbsup2

OK, since photobucket has decided to work for me now, I'm going to bore you all with MORE pictures! ;) These are from yesterday's bike ride:

looking at the ocean from our veranda and locking the door so the kids couldn't come in :lmao: :lmao:

I'm not sure I'd admit that :lmao: Was that the night that I decided that it WAS possible to go from one veranda to the next?
