Now I'm out of there for real this time because my head feels about to explode. See you all tomorrow.
Deb and Kaylee- feel better soon. My week just got rough too.
My step-dad has Parkinsons and this past weekend it got worse. He fell at work yesterday (hes a DR.). So I went with my mom to pick him up so I could drive his car home. Today I accidently took too much Adderall and then my mom calls again. My stepdad had to stay home b/c he can't walk. They need me to take my sister to school tomorrow so mom can take him to work. Then I have class, the TH I have to take sister to some practice after I get out of school. And next week I have to put her one the bus and pick her up as mom is taking DsD to the Dr. in GA so they can fix his meds. She wanted to cancel their DCL vacation in Oct. but I wouldn't let her. All I was planning on doing this week was classes and studying. I have to work the entire holiday weekend too. Plus moms birthday is next week. I NEED a vacation.
I don't know who would have told you that![]()
This reminds me. My MIL saw the pictures from the cruise on Saturday and I think she thought the cigarettes were real![]()
She just kept saying "You looked really drunk". Some of them I was "a little" buzzed but most of them I was trying to be silly. Like the one that looks like I was passed out with a cigarette in my mouth. I don't care about what she thinks about me but I thought you guys would think this was funny.
Just leave the bottles. I'm not sure I can drink champagne from plastic. I'm too good for that![]()
Does anyone know where I left my keys???
I even asked St. Anthony and it's a no go this time...![]()

Well, I'm off to do get some sleep. I've got another job interview tomorrow afternoon. Its a juniour accounting position which is the career change I'm going for. I didn't think I had a shot when I applied, but I got the interview
. She sounded disappointed on the phone when she realized that all my accounting experience is from school and volunteer activities, so I still think its a long shot. However, I'm curious
about the type of questions that will be asked and she said there will some skill testing stuff including a bank reconciliation. So overall I'm assuming the learning experience is worth a half-day vacation wasted plus driving 120km for the interview (and then back!)
Come on over!! You'd have many Dis meets![]()

Poor John. I'm going to tell me him to go streaking on the next cruise just so you guys stop laughing at him![]()
Holly, it's Capt Thord doing a 2 minute 'through the Panama Canal' podcast.
I don't know if it's from 2005 our our cruise.
I think I'll go look at it again......
Oh, we went up to Tyler's school today to meet his 1st grade teacher. Open house is tomorrow during his karate graduation, so we just stopped in today instead. This is the teacher his kindergarten teacher picked for him. We both really liked her immediately. She hasn't read anything from his IEP yet, but I filled her in on the relevant info. The school social worker happened to be walking down the hallway and popped in when she saw us. She told Tyler she's heard through the grapevine that he's doing much better at staying in control and he started telling her about an incident at the summer program. She told him, "You know, none of that matters anymore because that's behind us. This is a new school year, a new classroom, and a brand new start for this new Tyler. You're going to have a great year!" They're all so supportive.![]()
He got to pick out his desk and she showed him all the things around the room that she'll be showing everybody else at open house tomorrow, so it was good that he got the one on one info from her. We saw the class list and there are 5 or 6 kids from his kindergarten class, one is his best buddy Tolkien and one girlfriend Julia, so he's super happy! And now he's excited. He was nervous about having a new teacher and not knowing what to expect, so I'm glad we were able to do this today.
Regarding the discussion earlier on future cruises and who would go where and when, as long as finances allow, we're going on whichever cruise has the most of you!I don't care about the ports, the best part for me is just being on the water. So, I'm going to sit back and follow the discussions and will jump in at the end.

Definitely. At the open house today, there's no time for one on one conversations, so this worked out much better.I think that was better for Tyler to go to the school on his own without the crowd. Sounding good for next year Holly.
Cleaning and extra sleep. I have a 2 day work week this week before the long weekend, so this is very nice!Happy Hump Day!
OK, so, who's looking forward to the long weekend (in the US) and what do you have planned?
Sukie is working a couple of days this weekend and so am I.
I am subbing a meeting early on Saturday morning, the good thing is that it's about a 5 minute drive (I could walk, but I'm simply not that energetic at 6AM), and I have my normal 3 meetings on Sunday morning.
So, no big plans for us, plus Sukie is in a tizzy about getting his columns written prior to our going away next week.
What does everyone else have planned?
