I've got 2 dozen deep chocolate Vita Muffins in the oven (1 point each) and I'm taking a little breather from today.

Had some great meetings this morning, exploring how to best satisfy hunger. I handed out 2-inch square pieces of corrugated cardboard, and told the members to pretend these were brownies, which are 5-points each (a 2-inch square brownie is indeed 5-points).

I split them up into breakout groups and had them brain storm, what else they could have for 5-points that might better satisfy their hunger. They came up with great suggestions and some with entire meals.

Because it is the weekend before Labor Day, attendance was really down. I can only imagine what it will be like next weekend, Labor Day weekend.

I always end my meeting with a quote, and spend a fair bit of time researching the quotes. I rather like what I used today, and thought I would share it with you good people:

"People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But the self is not something one finds, it is something one creates."

- Thomas Szasz (psychiatrist and acadmic)
Great quote, Ian! :goodvibes

I'm feeling sleepy now!!!

We thought we could go up to St. augustine and possibly over into Georgia and to Savannah. There are lots of little areas just around Orlando too. would like to go to the Everglades and Miami sometime
.

Well I think the marathon might be the last event. They are getting the stadium ready for the closing ceremony at midday, though what they are going to do till then I don't know. The stadium looks pretty full.

Love St Augustine!

Jackie - beautiful castle....but looks like we will have to wait until we hit the 5 week vacation mark....they're not renting in 2009.

Yeah, I saw that, but we've got big plans for 2009 anyway! :boat:

Oh, maybe I should go check my lottery ticket, eh?

.

thanks Deb. The race is tomorrow. We are having a family party there as well. My mom turns 81. Just cold cut sandwhiches and cupcakes. Should be fun to have everyone come to see the little dude race.:thumbsup2

How did Wilson do???

So DCL can collect deposit $$ sooner? :confused3 Get that cash flow in!

They don't always release the entire year at one time....wonder if they will.

And don't you all think, after Jan 31 2007, that if they have a repositioning cruise, they might put that on sale a day before they open up EVERYTHING ELSE. Will they learn?

You would think they would FINALLY, don't you??

Hmmmm? 50's Prime Time? I've missed out on the restaurant now the last three or four trips....I WANT TO GO BACK.

love their fried chicken YUMMY!

Don't tell the parent police, but that's what mom would fix for me when I had bad cramps.

Jill, glad you checked in, hope the kitties survived their veternairy adventure!

Deb, I'll be calling BistroMD right before I leave for DLR, so that my first shipment will arrive the Friday of the week I get back. :thumbsup2

Holly,

I find it interesting that he doesn't know he does it. Wilson has this thing he does when he is racing too, some kind of movement with his hands and I keep telling him to stop letting go of the wheel, I remember he adjusts his gloves. It is so weird that people can do things and not even notice it. Wilson also is still sucking his thumb when he has his blanket in hand again he doesn't do it knowingly it just pops in his mouth. Of course Paul is ready to tie his hand behind his back.

I think we need to breathe and let these kiddos be. None of these issues will hurt them as long as Wilson keeps hold of the steering wheel at the right time and as long as Tyler doesn't lick anything that makes him sick.

When I concentrate too much on something that involves thinking (like scrapbooking, writing) I stick my tongue out to the side....yet 1 more thing to add to the "she's weird" category :lmao:

Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention. I told Tyler today all the fun things I have in mind for our extra time off together this week. Something fun for each day! Well, his response was, "Or....since we'll have so much extra time, we COULD just stay home and clean and finally get our house back to normal." :scared1: He'd choose cleaning the house over the zoo and water park and rollerskating rink and science museum and water balloon fight in our yard?! OH CRAP!!!! Tyler the cleaning nazi has me trapped for FOUR DAYS! :scared: He already started cracking his whip too. I told him about my plan to move things around in my room to try to organize it better and create more space, etc. While eating dinner, he asked when can we do that! Um.....later. I had my last piece of chicken in my mouth and as I was chewing it, he asked, "As soon as you're done with that bite, can we start working on your room?" NO! We need time to let our food settle. He gave me 5 minutes and said, "Come on, lets get to work". I wonder what evil plan he has in store tomorrow morning? Probably HIS bedroom next! I blame this ALL on his dad because his dad's a neat freak! :rotfl2:

PLEASE DON'T SEND HIM TO MY HOUSE!

Good Morning Everyone

Guess what, Ian won lottery again but he only got three numbers mean 10 pounds (20 dollars).

Olivia became bad behaviour since back from Outdoor Adventure, I don't know why she acted like that and I put her in bed early last night.:sad2:

Hi Deborah,

Tell Ian that he needs to put all his winnings in a special "cruise only" fund - this is his 3rd win in the last few months, right??

Sorry about Olivia...let her know I'm sending her a hug  (for you too  )

You know, I just glanced at Tyler's leg and it dawned on me that the bruise I was seeing is the same one that was there on the cruise. To make sure, I looked at a couple cruise pictures, and sure enough, it's the same bruise. I remember he got it shortly before the cruise and of course, he didn't remember how it happened, but it's strange to still be there 3 months later and not faded at all. It used to be about a 50 cent coin sized bump too, but now the bump is almost down, but the bruise is just as purple. I've never heard of one lasting so long. He must have really whacked into something super hard.

Maybe you should get it checked out...I've not heard of a bruise lasting that long :confused3

Gaylean, Holly, Shannon & Michelle,

Loved reading your conversation last night - made me laugh.

How did Brooke's party go today?

Yup, we did it right after dinner last night. I thought it would work out fine until I tried to put laundry away and can't open the 2 drawers closest to the wall because of the angle. That's something I had NOT thought of. So I'm cramming them in through a tiny opening until I have energy to move things again or to figure out where to move stuff. ;)

Just tell Tyler it needs to be done, and then he can push you to do it! ;) ;)

Just a quick stop...finally got rid of the migraine...about 2 hrs ago. Been sleeping as much as possible since I got home Friday. Normal time frame - if no meds my migraines last 72hrs....with new depression med I can't take migraine med...will need to see if I can take Excedrin Migraine.

Looks like you've given me about 50 pages to read...seems like old times :-)

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Have fun getting caught up!

I love the quote.:thumbsup2 The portion control exercise sounds interesting. I love how your WW meetings are about changing how people think about food, not just weigh in, reminder to count points and go home.

I'm trying a new system to cut back on fast food. Shaelyn wanted to write something on her calendar, so 2 weeks ago, she asked me for something she put on, and we picked to write on Aug 23 - Mommy can have McD again. So then the kids didn't ask for McD because Mom couldn't have it. Today we had McD again, and today we'll put another day onto the calendar. :thumbsup2

Was that S-word Dianne there? Do I need to call her? ;)

I love that quote! And I am, sorry to say, not doing much right now on self creating. Unless this funk I'm in is creating someone 'Funky' :hippie:

.....sometimes I crack myself up.....
