The Queen Mum and I are back on speaking terms....

You see... I'm in pain all the time from nerve damage in my neck and right arm... some days I cannot move... today was one of them. I spent the whole afternoon back in bed hoping the meds would kick in.

SHE got this brilliant idea that we should go home today instead of tomorrow (she's very much like my grandfather who used to change all the travel arrangements and announce to my grandmother she was going home even though she didn't want to...)

So... being IN the pain I was IN... I had to pack up the cabin, clean, pack the car, drive home and unpack the car.

I am still hurting and plan to spend most of tomorrow catching up or recovering...

She forgets that I am pain - most people around me do because I look just fine... but it's there every day in some form or another... It's 20 years this November that the car accident happened... I had 6 surgeries over 9 years... I manage it, but it's part of life... but she forgets that and gets mad at me when I have to take a break...

& we get into fights about it.

So... that's MY rant for the day...

Well... it's still dark here!!! (I had to... I'm sorry...)

Thanks for the hugs Marilyn... most people forget that I have what I have... most days when it's bad I keep to myself. It just bothers people when they think I am being lazy. I can get out of bed and have to turn around and go right back and lay down - it's called TOS - Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and my nerves just got stuck in scar tissue so they hurt all the time... its like the feeling that you get when you hit your funny bone... except I have that all the time and along with it fibromialgia with all of it's aches and pains. Add to that a few migraines and I stubbed my toe the other day...

Mom forgets... I love her, but she forgets and gets mad at me cause I can't do very much when I get this way. It can last for hours or weeks... I can't tell anymore... my body stopped consulting me a long time ago about these things...

Amazingly... It didn't bother me on the ship... It did at WDW and DL... but not on the ship... oh well...

People probably forget only cuz they see you doing what you do on good days. I know I would never had suspected anything when I saw you.

Maybe the sea air did you good Or maybe it was just cuz you were near me

We had nothing but rain rain rain rain and some windy weather......cloudy and dreary. BUT, good news, Chuck and I got our bedroom painted and it looks so nice! Today he's going to start on the masterbath! at least our rooms will be cheery! It's a nice butter yellow and the bathroom is "GreenOlive"...

It's dark again today, and the TS is just sitting over Cape Canaveral. I hope it's moved on by the Wonder departure time tomorrow!

It's the accent....I can't resist it! Though all the assorted UK accents do me in. My two Welsh uncles, whom I adored, started it, then the Beatles augmented it, then watching The Highlander sealed it.

man, there was more I was going to respond to, but I haven't had my tea and the brain isn't working and I still have sleep in my eyes and it's time to get in the shower already but maybe I have a few more minutes since I got my hair cut it won't take as long to dry/style and I really don't want to go to work anyway

Jan, it's funny you mention that because when I showed Tyler the picture yesterday, his first comment was something about how lucky Bobby is to go on another Panama Canal cruise, then he said, "Oh, I see he's dressed just like I used to do!" He's happy to see clothes on him.
