I'm assuming the fireworks didn't happen anyway because it's still raining and lightning. We ended up not playing racecars, but went on our front porch to watch the storm for quite a while.

It's so nice that Tyler's able to stay up later now! I really enjoy our extra time, especially since it's fun and relaxed time now. Except his licking everything. THAT drives me absolutely batty! Sometimes I manage to forget about it now and then, but it's just ridiculous. EVERYTHING he picks up, he must lick. EVERYTHING. And if he's some place where he's not picking things up, such as karate class, he has to lean over and lick the floor whenever he's close enough to do so. It's horrible. He doesn't realize he's doing it and when he tries to stop, it just gets worse. We're still trying to figure out what that's about. The OT isn't sure if it's a sensory thing or not because if it were, she feels that him having a chewy around his neck constantly (which he's had since a couple days after the cruise) would satisfy that oral need. Even having gum in his mouth constantly doesn't stop or slow it down. So the psychiatrist thinks either OCD behavior or anxiety, but only time will tell. He really thinks it's an anxiety coping mechanism, and said if it is, then the drug he's on will help with that since the drug reduces anxiety. Nope, not a change.

HOWEVER.......since that's the only bizarre behavior remaining, I'm OK with it! I'm the one who just has to get past my issues with him doing it. I'm really surprised the kids at school haven't teased him about it yet because there's no way anybody would not notice it.

I just couldn't sleep!!! I used to have many more nights like this but I have been sleeping so well recently. Could be the excitement of the change of holiday!!!

Wow, ya'll are talkative. I am back to my normal self. I had a pulled muscle that wasnt healing b/c of work, and I was exhausted and stressed b/c of work. So I took the week off and am doing great. I started school this week and go back to work tomorrow.

I went to a scrapbook convention and thought of everyone here. I made an albulm that says Cruise. Each letter is a page and am going to put pics from this cruise in it. And I won one that says Magic and is Disney themed but still have to put it together. I will try to take pics and post them soon,

We had to take all 3 cats to the vet today and it was a kitty chorus in the backseat. All 3 meowed the whole time, even while the vet was seeing them. I guess they had alot to say!

I hope everyone it doing good. We miss everyone. Matt is almost done typing his trip report and the he will post the whole thing at once. I really wish we could at DL for Ian and Sukie's wedding but I am sure there will be pics.

Hi Jill! I'm so glad you popped in and haven't forgotten us! You've been missed too! Glad to hear you were able to get some time off work to get the rest you needed. Very happy to hear you're feeling better. Good luck with your classes! Looking forward to seeing pics of your latest scrapbooks.

They don't always release the entire year at one time....wonder if they will.

And don't you all think, after Jan 31 2007, that if they have a repositioning cruise, they might put that on sale a day before they open up EVERYTHING ELSE. Will they learn?

Lisa/G520, How is the neighborhood now that Fey is moving out? Do you have any flooding?

We're fine. The road we take to work was closed yesterday due to flooding but I think it was re-opened today. We were out and about all afternoon running errands and going to the mall.

Well it shouldn't be that crowded with the kind of weather you've been having......so you shouldn't have any lines. Enjoy and post pics for us!

We went to MNSSHP last year and it was a BLAST! You'll love it!

We love MNSSHP - one trip we went twice! I imagine being this close Darrell and I will go by ourselves another night this year too. Is there one while you and John are here?

My sister and I are thinking of going to it next year. We do go every June to SDV in Durham, NC. Which is a great weekend!

Thinking about it, but the marathon is soon ending and these guys have run so well.

Speaking of that marathon, I was flipping through channels, and since I only have a few, the only thing this evening that wasn't inappropriate for Tyler was the olympics. So we had the marathon on, and we were pointing out differences in the buildings we saw, and other things, compared to ours. The ambulances were funny looking. Well, we were doing something else for a while, then about 1/2 our later, Tyler said, "Mom, those guys are still running!" Then quite a while later he said the same thing. He told me they must be crazy to run for so long. I reminded him that grandma does that too and he told me that she's nuts too then. When I finally had to end his fun staying up and forced him to bed at 9, he told me he just wants to stay up until they're done running because they sure can't run much longer! At that point I believe they were only an hour and a half into the marathon and I assured him they'd be running MUCH longer!

Yes Tyler, I agree. Anybody who'd run for that length of time is out of their mind!

UK and US must air different events and show a different schedule. Everytime you mention what you are watching and when Deborah does too, it's always different from what we're watching. I'm recording the Olympics now and watching preseason football. But I have watched the Olympics every day and it just seems to be different from what you're watching.

I was seeing the same event she was seeing at that time. I'm pretty sure they air live, don't they?

We thought we could go up to St. augustine and possibly over into Georgia and to Savannah. There are lots of little areas just around Orlando too. would like to go to the Everglades and Miami sometime.

We really liked St Augustine. We were only there one day but it seemed like there is a lot to do. We went to the Castillo and the lighthouse.

Yup, after we read his bedtime book in bed, and did songs, he was asleep about 9:30. I think we started the process at 9.

OK - we're done getting ready to go to AK tomorrow. With the weather we have an extra bag (one of the mesh CC backpacks) to hold our umbrellas and extra pairs of dry socks in ziploc baggies. I can't stand to have wet feet!

Plus we are buying our MNSSHP tickets while we are there. My Sis, bil and niece are coming down the weekend of Sept 19th so we are going to go that night.

And the camera battery is charging right now

I'd love to be going to AK. It's a favorite park of ours.

thanks Deb. The race is tomorrow. We are having a family party there as well. My mom turns 81. Just cold cut sandwhiches and cupcakes. Should be fun to have everyone come to see the little dude race.

Sounds like a good time Nan. I've been craving cupcakes lately. Everybody here has been talking about them so much! We might need to make some. That will be a fun activity with all these days off. I know I've got a billion different kinds of sprinkles around, so Tyler'd have fun decorating them.
