Goodmorning, your Royal Meanness! Looking forword to seeing you and the clan in a month.

BTW, Holly and I both need to be slapped....can you take care of that?

:lmao:

.

Morning bouncey girl.

Yes I'm looking forward to seeing all too. I think I may have to tighten up my travel days. As I'm in that can't afford all the time off and flight stuff with the lack of work stuff going on here these days. And we just got word that the floors in the 2nd bedroom must be replaced in full, a wopping 2.5K for the floors. Not a happy camper here today.:sad2:

I don't think there is a contra indication with Noro and St John's Wort, check it out and take both.
I did remember reading that there was, but I'll ask the pharmacist just to be sure when I pick up my refill today. It would be nice to be able to take both.

Jan, what a great day! We live about 2 miles from our capitol building. It's always a great place to find interesting things going on. Our favorite, of course, is the State Christmas tree every year. :goodvibes

I have never lived in a Capitol city before. Near one, but not in :goodvibes as Michelle can vouch, Troy is not far from Albany but does not count.

At least for the three Christmases I have been here, the State capitol tree is decorated by ornaments that were handmade that year by children.

It is so neat to be there when a kid is walking around and finds his own ornament! :thumbsup2 It makes me smile as they show their parents. :)

Well, that's a pissa! This is for the rental, where the tenant chopped a hole in the floor, right?

I also need somebody sent over to mow my yard and clean my house. Actually, I need a big dumpster to be delivered and just start tossing stuff! I figure, if we have nowhere to put it, we don't need it. Just trying to get that through to Tyler's head is tough. He gets too sentimental about things given to him as gifts. And since he has so much stuff, I never buy him anything, so just about everything he has was given as a gift! He can point to every item he has and tell you who gave it to him and when. Drives me NUTS! Because then he feels that he'll be hurting that person's feelings if he gets rid of a gift. I keep telling him what's important is that somebody cared enough about him to give him a gift, not the actual item, but it's not working. And I've tried boxing up lots of stuff and just putting it in the attic for a while and rotating items now and then, but he immediately knows exactly what's missing and starts playing with EVERYTHING. I've tried having him feel good about giving things away to kids who might not have as much as he does. He loves doing that, but then he starts to panic about giving too much away. Good grief. Maybe that's a bit of the OCD part of him, I don't know, but we have to try harder! No kid needs to have 15 firetrucks, 5 ambulances, 10 police cars, and 5 pirate ship playsets! :rotfl2:

My goal is to majorly reduce by the end of summer so we have room to play inside during the winter. :thumbsup2

That's a really cute idea! Ours doesn't do that, it only has lights. Decorations would probably get stolen downtown Lansing!

That really stinks! I'd be ticked off about the floor too.

This morning we got up WAY TOO EARLY  and drove :drive: to the State Fair—a place that is WAY TOO CROWDED:scared1: —for the WALK FOR WOMEN’S HEART HEALTH  —the annual event started by Indiana's First Lady Cheri Daniels in 2005. We walked two laps around the outside of the race track—2 plus miles. This was my fourth year. Tom did it last year with me also but before that he thought it was for women only.

We went through the building where his department display is as he wanted to personally thank the volunteers there. He has a little clip on the website that he showed me on their computers too.

http://www.munciefreepress.com/node/19131 is a newspaper article about the initiative.

http://www.in.gov/idem/hoosierscare/ is the website. In the center top rotation of pictures, Tom comes up with light bulbs. You can see his movie clip by clicking on his picture in the lower left corner or going to this site: http://www.in.gov/idem/hoosierscare/5612.htm

We got some pork burgers for lunch and just got home. :thumbsup2

Later we will walk to a local winery Easley’s for a street party—they have arranged for musical groups  to perform and food booths to be there.

Jan :cool1:

Just learned a lesson today. Until I'm able to get a new clothes dryer, next time I'm washing clothes that I need to wear later that day, I need to get off my lazy fanny and just take them to the laundromat to use their dryer. :guilty: This is ridiculous. A dryer will definitely be my next big purchase. Possibly next month.

You're not talking about the same Tom, are you?

Woody

Nope--my Tom has a much higher IQ than Tom Cruise. :rotfl:

(Facebook invites you to try their IQ test by advertising that Tom Cruise has an IQ of 98 so you can see if your IQ is higher)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Jan's Tom is nowhere near creepy! He's a super nice guy, from what I saw. :goodvibes

Thank you Holly. I think so. I have renewed his contract 39 times.

Jan :thumbsup2

Ugghh.....my crappy computer won't let me click on links now. It will work fine once I shut down and restart, but it takes so long to do that, I'll wait until I get home tomorrow night. Then I'll check out the links. Yup, it's time for a new computer too, but that's not a necessity. A dryer is. Seems like everything is falling apart though. Oh well. It all works out in the end. :thumbsup2

Glad you had a good time Michelle!

I'd watch ANYTHING other than the Olympics. :rotfl2: Maybe even paint drying. But I did love the movie. :thumbsup2

Well, it got me outside and walking TWO DAYS IN A ROW (I need a walking smilie--closest we have is tiptoe :tiptoe: and I walked faster than that--Honest I did!)

Jan :rotfl2:

I think I packed too much stuff for Tyler to have lots to do at my mom's, but I always get nervous about leaving him with her. She's only been with him (without me) twice I think, and she doesn't handle it very well when he gets frustrated or bored or loud. She's convinced he needs boot camp. :rotfl2: Hopefully she'll see a different Tyler today, even if only slightly. He loves being with her, so I have no worries in that regard, I just hate her comments afterwards about how terrible he is. :sad2: Hopefully today and tonight will be different. :thumbsup2

....What he said...

Oh Nan... go for it!!! We need women like you to rule the world!!! and if you put accounting AND political science together... we may even be able to balance the budget... :rotfl: ....

Like our Governor did. :thumbsup2

Jan :)

I'm glad we're giving Marilyn lots of chatter to read when she comes back after her weekend away! :goodvibes It will slow down a bit today though, after I leave. ;) But I'll be taking my cute little Dell pda with me and can use that to take advantage of my mom's wireless internet tonight after the reunion.

Well, I have to leave in an hour and a half, so I guess I'm ready to force myself to mow (just the front yard), then go take care of the neighbor's cat & plants one more time (thank goodness they come home tomorrow morning), dash to the pharmacy to get my prescription refill, quickly clean out the inside of the car & vacuum it, then pick up Tyler and hit the highway. Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!

IAN!! How about this for a cake? :confused3

King_and_Queen.jpg

Jan

I hate to admit this, but that's actually pretty cool!

I see you're taking Nan at her word about being on the decorating committee.

A DISer from our Sept 2007 cruise got married a couple months ago in Los Vegas. The two of them flew from West Virginia (probably actually flew from Pittsburgh), had the wedding with her DH's best friend as their witness, spent several days and flew home. She posted pictures of herself in casinos with her wedding gown on.

Then she got some flack from family who were not invited--(excuse me, that is what ELOPE means!)

So, now, to make nice and to celebrate with friends, they are throwing their own reception. This is the cake she plans to have the local bakery make. I wonder if the bakery will be OK :) with it or have a more extreme reaction like :scared1: or :cool1:

Jan :rotfl:

Decided I'd better not mow right now. Too many bees or wasps out there. I did get rid of most of them a while back, so there are only actually 2 or 3 that I can see (when I used to be able to see swarms of them), but that's more than I want to piss off with my mower coming after them. ;) So I'll do it when we get home tomorrow evening when it's supposed to be much cooler and they probably won't be moving very fast.

OK, I'm just tired reading that, but it sounds like a great day. Watched Tom's video :thumbsup2 and have added the new light bulbs to my Walmart shopping list.
