I had a '99 Cougar. A far cry from a T-bird. Slipped a rod and blew the engine. Still sitting in my driveway in fact. Not sure if I want to sell it or blow the savings fund and put a new engine in it. I'm sure Shannon is just wanting me to "get rid of the damned thing".

Mine was a '94 T-bird... a dream of a car and it was the year that Ford bought Jaguar and they tested an engine in the model year I got... I used to go and get my car inspected or fixed and I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't bring it around by the front... then one time I went back and looked and they had my whole car open and they were all checking it out!!! :rotfl: My brother called it my Chick car... & if I had it still...I'd have gotten it fixed... I do keep seeing a car up here that looks suspiciously like mine though...

Hi everyone,

I've been reading and had a lot of things quoted to respond to but so much time has gone by and I'm tired so I just deleted all of them!

Happy Birthday to Molly and I enjoyed the pics from the play.

I've read all the discussion of school, learning disabilities, teachers, bullying, medication, testing, etc. with great interest.

Glad to hear that Tyler has a treatment plan and send prayers that he will have an easier time and a good school year.

Ian and Michelle, you guys are so funny! So is Woody, when he pops in...

I'm going to be getting a 2008 Civic hybrid as my new car. I might be able to pick it up tomorrow. I test drove it yesterday and I really like it. I think I got a good enough deal for a car that's in demand and short supply. Today I was on the phone most of the day taking care of things to do with the accident; everything seems to be working out OK.

I was having so much discomfort I went in to an urgent care center yesterday to have my ribs checked. They took 3 more x-rays and nothing is broken so it's just a matter of healing. My burn is looking pretty good; the small area that was a 2nd degree burn is getting smaller each day. I'm still feeling very tired so I'm trying to take it as easy as I can, but really didn't get to rest much at all today.

It's great to come on our thread and read the chit-chat, even if I'm not able to actively participate.

I'm going to try to get to sleep now--good night all & hello Marilyn and Deborah!

Cherie...

You will LOVE the Civic... it's obviously smaller than the accord, but it's got a great design and drives really well... what color are you looking for? Mom's got that really dreamy blue color - and she loves it!!!

Good Morning

Let you know that I put my photos of Panama Canal in the picture of the day.

and Panama Canal Cruise picture.

Sunny come out now:goodvibes but I have piles of ironing.

Tomorrow we are going to see my brother at Rosehearty at Fraserburgh for the weekend. My brother said he will have a bbq on Sunday with the family together.

Cheri - good luck with the car. I also wish you a speedy healing :wizard:

(I bought a padded envelope and will be sending you the goodies)

Just take a small coffee filter (I don't drink coffee so I don't know the sizes), draw a picture on one side, wet with a squirt bottle and then peel it open (the coffee filter is actually a cone shape when opened normally so just peel open one side) and presto - instant angel wings.

After it dries out it is suitable for framing or putting on the wall or what have you.
.
Thanks. Now I get it. My home coffee maker uses round filters that look like giant cup cake papers. But the one in the little motorhome we are trying to sell has the cone shape.

When did you add the happy birthday to your signature? Is your birthday soon?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I was hoping you would like Michelle's idea for by your avatar

The CAMERAMAN can 'cause he mixes it with love and makes the world look good.

A play on the Candyman song--do you remember it?

Shannon's nickname in highschool was Blondie.

I used to be a little tow-headed boy growing up.

If you scroll through some of the pics on my facebook you will get an idea of what I mean.

For instance here is me with Mickey Mouse in 1978 (It's a little blurry but hey it was 1978)

Blurry because cameras had just been invented?... :rotfl:

Good morning! Bored, bored, bored bored here.

Day off here. I plan to get the master bedroom closet packed today then off to visit with some gal friends from work. Afternoon visit then 4 of us will have dinner before I head back home. Poor DrHug has to work today so he will not get to go with us. This is very unusual for us.

Tomorrow is the Old Fashioned Festival here in Newberg. We may go down town and see the parade at 10, kind of cheesy, but fun. The booths set up at the park with the junk for sale are fun to browse too. And then there are the elephant ears that need to be tasted.

Wish I could come and be a part of your gal friends today Angie.

Me too! We will have dinner at Beaches, a restaurant that sits right on the Columbia River. It should be a nice enough day to sit outside. :woohoo:

I hope you have a really lovely day Angie(I know you like that English term!).

It is a beautiful day here - warmest of the year so far.

We went for our 6 weekly Chiropractic appointments and then coffee. John is cutting the beech hedge and I have been tidying round and printing off some important things from the computer.

I DO love that term. A lovely day just sounds so much better than a nice day!:lmao: :rotfl2: The only thing better than a lovely day is a magical day. :thumbsup2
