I'm totally off after being on the pain meds... like I got to sleep any earlier before...:lmao: But it's been raining all night and we have floods all around the area (not me, thankfully... I live up a little from the river... )

We were supposed to go out tonight but didn't make it... I DID make Raspberry pancakes for dinner... :goodvibes I like to have my dessert first!!! :lmao:

I'm off... before the sun comes up on me...

Have a good one...

Tell John I said Hi!

Did you ever find Lovers Lane in Glenville?:confused3
What does it look like?

Jan :earsgirl:

Yes, I'm really happy with this doctor. Tyler's dad is still trying to be in denial, I think. He asked me the other day that he's concerned about this drug being addictive. I assure him it's not. He then told me he's going to do some research about it over the next couple of days, so I suspect when I see him on Saturday, he'll have a bunch of stuff printed out for me to take him and read. Like I said before, that man is going to give me gray hair.

About being pulled out of class, one teacher at school told me so many kids get pulled out for many different types of classes, the other kids actually envy those who get to leave class. :thumbsup2

::yes:: Pull outs are envied. But going to the nurse is teased.:sad2:

Jan :earsgirl:

:rotfl2: Well, I did exercise my fingers.....I entered the jewelry order from Monday's show. It took the hostess until today to decide what she wanted to order. It ended up being a $853 show! 30% of that is cash to be deposited into my bank account a week from Monday. AND the hostess purchased $500 of jewelry for only $164.40, so EVERYBODY'S happy! :yay:

:cool1:  :cool1:

This is totally true with my daughter. She is jealous of the kids that get to go to resource or speech. Go Figure!

The kids who go out get one-on-one attention and the kids who stay in the room have to do the boring seat work. They are not moving around and they are not getting the individualized attention!

Jan :earsgirl:

Sounds like Molly had a GREAT birthday!!

We got the whole family up (that would be mom (me), dad, Annie Gretchen, Daniel, Grandma and Grandpa and Annie's Friend Megan) off to Starbucks (where else is there??) We had breakfast/coffee and Gretchen opened her presents. I ended up getting everything she needs for competition dancing. I know I would have had to get most of the stuff anyway, but Gretchen was happy to get all this neat stuff all at once....

Then she made cupcakes for her dance classes tonight. Then we went to the pool and had a wonderful afternoon (Yes, it stopped raining and it was cool...like 82 degrees and sunny). Gretchen danced from 4:30 to 7:30.

A group of 47 teenagers are leaving tonight in the middle of the night of Costa Rica for mission work. NOBODY in my household is going, but our youth leaders daughter is going to stay with us. So we went an picked her up...

Gretchen's party will be the last weekende in August. I am taking 10 "tweens" to the beach house....and YES! I am certifiable CRAZY!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I don't think you're crazy, I think you're a great Mom!
Your kids are blessed to have you.

Jan :earsgirl:

I think I am caught up.

Now off to read some of the other threads I follow ;)

Jan :earsgirl:

I've just read, some of it very quickly, our thread from 5.5.09, just before our cruise till about a week after. Lots of fun and memories. All the excitement is there. Lots of folk who aren't here anymore. Did it really happen?:confused3

Something has just reminded me of a post just prior to the cruise. Holly, you found a mouse turd!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Morning all!!

Glad to hear everyone is recovering from their accidents and getting fun new cars!

We are heading off for day 2 of Comic Con.

Yesterday I saw Keanu Reeves, Mark Wahlberg, Hugh Jackman, and the casts of Twilight, Dexter and the new HBO show called Tru Blood. Had a great time.
Today our plan is for The Watchmen, Ghost Hunters and 2 Kevin Smith panels.

Have a great weekened everyone!!
What is Comic Con? Unfortunately, the only name I know of those you listed is Keanu Reeves. Yeah, I guess I'm a bit behind the times. ;)

... Mine tried a margeritta and is now on it's way to the Laptop Attitude Adjustment Clinic in Memphis. That means Tom and I share a computer or I use the Raspberry which is slower.

Do we see a pattern?
The phone went swimming in Quiet Cove pool the day we embarked.
The camera got water in it after Castaway Cay.
The computer tried a margeritta a couple days ago.....:sad2:
the girl has problems with liquids and mechanical items.....

Jan :earsgirl:
This just cracked me up! :rotfl2:

.
Thanks. Now I get it. My home coffee maker uses round filters that look like giant cup cake papers. But the one in the little motorhome we are trying to sell has the cone shape.

When did you add the happy birthday to your signature? Is your birthday soon?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I was hoping you would like Michelle's idea for by your avatar

The CAMERAMAN can 'cause he mixes it with love and makes the world look good.

A play on the Candyman song--do you remember it?

Jan :earsgirl:

And with our luck the Tag fairy will find him... Hey... Ken if you get tagged... I get 1/2!!!

Wish I could come and be a part of your gal friends today Angie.

Oh... I would have loved lunch today too...

I DO love that term. A lovely day just sounds so much better than a nice day!:lmao: :rotfl2: The only thing better than a lovely day is a magical day. :thumbsup2

Uhhhh Huhhh...!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Can they FAX it to you? :rotfl2:

There are fewer calories if they send an e-mail attachment.:rotfl:

No calories at all if it is posted on this Thread or Facebook. :lmao:

Jan :earsgirl:

Doesn't taste as good though... :confused3

Would it be crumbs or would it be a wad of compacted cake? :confused3

Jan :earsgirl:

Eat it with milk... who cares!!! :rotfl2:

I know an available guy in Schenectady.....

Jan :earsgirl:

Sorry Jan... he's not from up here...

Did you ever find Lovers Lane in Glenville?:confused3
What does it look like?

Jan :earsgirl:

Not yet - but I will have to go and mapquest it... but Glenville is so big...I'm likely to get lost and find myself in Schoharie county or something... one wrong turn up here and all the farms start to look alike!!!

Marilyn... I have a theory...

Some people live in the present... they do what they do and move on...(my sister is one of those people...)

Then there is the rest of us... a core group who will be very good friends for a VERY long time!!! :grouphug:

Could he have a Happy 1/2 Birthday party some year and do summer stuff?

What did you get him instead of flowers? I thought of suggesting a cookie bouquet, but realize the evening is over now.

I bet you noticed that I am home today and trying to get caught up on several day's posts. No clients on Friday. No other obligations this Friday and a computer :surfweb: to use. Mine tried a margeritta and is now on it's way to the Laptop Attitude Adjustment Clinic in Memphis. That means Tom and I share a computer or I use the Raspberry which is slower.

I was thinking that a Ziplock Bag and a creative use of a Mickey Slicker might be needed here...

It is kind of the opposite end of the spectrum from giftedness. There are many, many kinds of giftedness but the schools only recognize and provide enrichment for the academic ones.

Probably it all boils down to funding. If they had unlimited funds then all those helping programs and enrichment programs could be offered but the senior citizens and others on fixed income cannot afford higher taxes, the people whose kids would not benefit do not want to pay higher taxes and so the parents of the kids who would benefit are left with ignoring it or providing the enrichment or special assistance on their own like you, Nan, Deborah, Heather and others are doing and have done. :grouphug:

How is Heather? Tell her I said HI

Jan :earsgirl:
Good points.

Heather is busy as always! I don't know how she does everything she does.

Something has just reminded me of a post just prior to the cruise. Holly, you found a mouse turd!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
:rotfl2: That's right! I remember that almost every time I'm in my kitchen. I have a HUGE mouse phobia and am always looking for "evidence". I haven't seen anything since then. But of course, I sprayed under the sink with tons of antiseptic cleanser, thinking mice wouldn't like that smell (plus for cleanliness sake) then closed the cupboard dooor, and put a chair in front of it that I imagined would be too heavy for a mouse to push to get out. :lmao: Yeah, I know, it's crazy, but it made me feel better! :rotfl:

Well, I'm not going anywhere! As long as people are still posting here, you're all STUCK with me! ;)

And the Wasps???

We now are renaming your house... HOLLY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM

It is great that you and Michelle and others are still around.

You are right Michelle, some people do move on much easier than others(me).
