Hey Marilyn... How's England today????

Warm and sunny Michelle. Well, actually it is dark and cooler at the moment, Going to be warmer too this week. I will soon be moaning about it being too hot!!!:lmao:

When you use P mode, what do you set the WB and ISO on?

I have to read up on S again--I couldn't really understand how it was different from Auto.

In P mode I usually set the WB to manual if I can do it (or remember is more like it). I find it works tonnes better than most of the other settings.

ISO I like to keep low, because the lower the ISO the less "noise" you get on the final product. However, if it is dark and/or I am shooting something moving, then I will acquiesce and put it to a higher number or put it to auto.

Sv (sensitivity) mode allows you to manually change just the ISO while shooting, which can be helpful in that you can set the ISO and the camera will change everything else to make it work.

Holly

I am glad to hearing from you and glad that you are :cool1: :cool1:

Glad that you have found what wrong with Tyler.

I was thinking that when I saw him, he seem normal child and you never know what people's think.

Same with my son, when he was little, he was so thin and unable to finish homework. My family and I thought he was so LAZY until Ian's dad went to lecture for the meeting and he realised that something problem with Keith.

He came home and gave me paperwork, when I read, I got very upset and we found that Keith's have dyparaxia and dylexia (sorry wrong spell). He is not normal child. Hospital want him to have mri scan brain but I don't want to because I don't know to know. Now he is label for Dyparaxia.

Good for you to got the times now for Tyler before too late.

I hope the tablets will work out for him, might take a while.

I am not very good to write a nice english. I always short english. I hope you understand my english.

NOW YOU KNOW NOBODY IS PERFECT!! As Tyler look so lovely when you took the photos of him.

Scottishwee35:hug:
Thanks Deborah, both of your kids are wonderful too, Olivia is beautiful and Keith is handsome. :goodvibes And yes, you only saw Tyler during his good moments, except when he shoved Olivia. :sad1: My dad and my stepmom don't believe anything's wrong with him because they've only seen him on good days and the things that trigger him don't happen in small family groups, so it's hard for others to understand what we're going through. But we're headed down the treatment road and will deal with things as they come. :thumbsup2 I showed him his pills and how tiny the half is that he'll take and he's not worried anymore after seeing how small it is.

Going to use the totebag from the cruise to carry your lunch?

I have a favorite football team now--the Florida Gators--because their staff invented Gatorade and I love how I feel now that I am drinking it!!

Thanks V !!

Congrats V on the new degree!!

Jan :earsgirl:
I didn't know that's how Gatorade came to be! Cool! I'm a big fan too because of how dehydrated I get. I reach a point every summer where water does absolutely nothing for me. Tyler's the same as me regarding heat and he's a big Gatorade fan too. :thumbsup2

Bed time actually. Hope you all have a good evening over there.

Goodnight.

Showers today... had to run in from the car through the raindrops... and of course it HAD to be the day I went and got my hair done!!!:rotfl:

My garden however, I believe is rotting away... we've had too much rain this year... it's sad... :sad1:

Anyway... sweet dreams... see you on the other side!!! :flower3:

I'm so happy for you and Tyler. I think I mentioned anti-psychotics. I've heard about the anti-depressants giving kids thoughts of suicide but I still have a friend that has her kid on them so I'll have to research that. I wonder if his decision was based on Tyler's family history. I think I'll go back to school and be a neurologist. It shouldn't take that long, right!
You know, I hadn't thought about the family history, but that makes sense. Good point! :thumbsup2

Hi Marilyn

I don't want Keith to have MRI scan as top specialist doctor told me that tiny bit is missing from his brian but doctor said she see keith's progress doing well and she think Keith will be clever. He is well behave boy but very bad/quick temper now I dont know if it is his aged?

Scottishwee35
I know you mentioned dysparaxia before the cruise, but I didn't know about the tiny bit missing. Interesting. I wonder if the rest of the brain compensates for that tiny missing bit? He seems to be doing fine! I saw him having fun on the cruise in the pool with Olivia. :goodvibes

Congrats V on your A!:cool1: :thumbsup2
Holly - great news for you and Tyler!
Nan - congrats on selling the house!:)
Deborah - your English gets what you mean across! Your upbeat attitude comes through in your posts

Hello to everybody else!

Things have been busy for us, as Ken let you all know.
Long job interview story:
I had part 1 of a job interview on Friday. I couldn't get off work to drive to the other town for the interview so I'd asked them if they could do a phone interview. The lady had to get back to me on that, but she phoned me back in 10 minutes and said yes to the phone interview, but they could only do part over the phone, so if the phone interview went okay, then I'd have to go up later to do the rest of the interview. So they phoned me on my cell phone on Friday, and I'm sitting out in the lumber yard, because that's the only spot I could get phone reception and privacy (Ken had the van to take kids to park, otherwise I'd have gone somewhere better). They phoned 3 minutes late, said hello and got disconnected, they phoned back, got disconnected again, they phoned back again. Third time's the charm and actually stayed connected, but I'm nervous and wondering what else will go wrong:sad2: . When I got off the phone, I thought I'd done horrible answering the questions:scared: , and I figured I'd blown it between the poor answers, the phone disconnecting, and my refusal to go in person that day; but yesterday they phoned and asked me to come up this week to finish it off :cool1: So I still might not get the job (they said they are interviewing 4 people), but at least I have a shot, and it'll be a new experience answering "behavioural questions". If this one doesn't pan out, something else will eventually.

It sounds like you did very well. I bet they were impressed with your resume and that is why they let you do the interview over the phone. I'm sure the job is yours!

I missed you:hug: :lovestruc

I thought of you the whole time

My friend that almost didn't make it on the cruise because her husband had the kidney stones called and they upgraded her to the handicap veranda. The crazy part is that she didn't even have a veranda booked :scared1: She is so excited and I am excited for her because she was worried that her husband was going to have a horrible time on the cruise and this made their trip.

how couldn't we? :sad1:

There was a request on the CB thread for sangria and I wanted to tell you, but you weren't here:sad2:

I'm here now and some of the sangria was actually wasted :scared1: I made a little too much.

You know, I hadn't thought about the family history, but that makes sense. Good point! :thumbsup2

I've heard other research on it as well, I mean about the suicides. I have also heard that kids that don't get these types of drugs are much more likely to take illegal drugs because they make them feel normal :confused3 Everyone has their own opinions on the subject and the only thing you can do is trust your doctor. It doesn't help that the news is saying that teachers can prescribe ADD meds. I've never seen a teacher with a prescription pad.
