I'm a mustard gal! Just use mayo to mix with a little tuna or chicken to make t or c salad. I've got Best Foods (Hellmans) Lite on hand, so that will do the trick.

Got my list made and will be heading out in a bit. I decided to stop at the dollar store and buy a new dinner plate, salad plate, bowel and silverware to take to work for serving my lunch. Maybe I'll even get a cute placemat too! Might as well make brown bagging it a nicer experience, eh? :thumbsup2

Don't get a dinner plate thats to huge. Human mindset has us trained to fill the plate. Your portions will look larger when place on a smaller plate. I try to use a salad plate whenever possible.

If your a sweets person you might try the Skinny cow ice cream novelties. We like the mint sandwich.

Or if you like popcorn, get the kind thats 97% fat free.

New plans for me!!! I'm staying on after the cruise to do WDW w/my cousin & her family.  Maybe I can sneak away for a quick meet!

You ARE a nut case...but an entertaining one!:thumbsup2

That reminds me, Michelle--I wore your neck cooler at DL last week and also the other day in Phoenix. Dylan was in a swim meet and we were out in the heat for about 2.5 hours. It really helped!

A CRUISE MEET!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thank you Cherie... I will be writing here on Tuesday night... &

Thanks Cherie... the coolers are pretty cool, huh??? (yes, pun intended...)

No, but I have fancied a trip for years. We have been to NY, Boston and some areas that way.

You ae hilarious!!! I would have so loved to have been shadowing you two there.:lmao:

Philly is a very nice place to go... and everything is all within walking distance near the Independence Mall... I'd think about it.

& I think we should propose a reality show starring Ian and Sukie... even though they wouldn't watch it themselves!!! :rotfl:

Yep, I've had the Skinny cow ice cream stuff before and loved it. It's already on the grocery list (OR maybe just some Bryers FF vanilla...as I can add fruit, etc to get a little more variety). Oh heck, it's summer....maybe BOTH!

ok....off to do my errands....

.

"When in Doubt....Throw it out....."

That's my theory about green fuzzy things in my fridge...

It was cold in Church this morning, and it was sunny outside! Such a cold N wind!! Everybody is so fed up with the weather here.

I did see Nan at church - she has put weight on though!;)

This week I have also seen Cork, Kathe and Jackie.

Don't tell Nan... it was the Rum....

Bobby is on his way to North Carolina. :dance3: He will go to DL and then back thru the Canal in Aug. :woohoo: He is traveling with the Geeks that are on that trip. :grouphug: He will be traveling with LBGraves (Lisa) and family. He was very excited, but was not looking forward to the less than first class accomodations flying clear across the country! He will feel much better thoough once the children get him out of the box. :thumbsup2

Angie...

Take it from Planky... he arrived just fine... Did you pack cookies???

Here's Planky's take on going home in a box... 1st post... and you can keep reading if you'd like... I believe you guys are in one of the pictures... He should be updating shortly...

I think I'll be adding that to my grocery list!

I wasn't going to say anything yet....but I get my raise next week and it's being allocated to joining Weight Watchers! :thumbsup2 Yep, I need the structure to get this job accomplished, I think. In sixteen months I'm going to be 60 years old. I don't want to be 60 AND fat....so I'm doing something about the thing I CAN control...besides, I don't like the option of NOT being 60. :lmao:

.

That sounds like a great birthday present.

Anyway, you're still one of the special ones in Sukie and my pantheon of goddesses!

(Before any other of you get bent out of shape, notice that that was plural)

Yep, knew I'd start there. I wonder what kind of mayo I have right now...better check that out. Got a favorite kind?

.

I like Kraft Fat Fee.

Yes, it takes getting used to, but I think it's fine for everyday.

I like to save higher points for special things and make them special.

I am back from my Sunday morning job, which is leading Weight Watchers meetings. I was happy that I lost .8lbs pounds this week, so I have had continued steady weight loss since the cruise, which is good.

Now on to ....

Food Find Alert

Working for WW, I am not allowed to talk about food products at a meeting other than WW foods. Members can talk about them and make recommendations, but I can't.

Of course I'm not working now, so I have a fantastic food find for all of you WW folks out there:

Vitamuffin muffin mix!

I have tried both the deep chocolate and the banana,, love the both and the best thing is that they are 1 point per muffin! (The meeting leader in me feels compelled now to remind you that if you double the serving, you double the calories, double the fat, double the fiber to a maximum of 4 grams, and then calculate the points). The mix makes 12 muffins. These are normal sized muffins and not some over Americanized, muffin with a thyroid problem, muffin who ate Cleveland sized muffins.

The best part is that they are easy and quick to make and delicious.

I get them in the natural foods section of Jewel, which is Albertsons in other parts of the country.

Here's a link to their site, if you want more information:

http://vitabakingmixes.com/bakingmix_product_info.html

I do not, repeat, I do not get a commission from Vitamuffin. I am just very excited about this food find. In fact, I'm reconsidering marrying Sukie and may marry a muffin instead.

Ian... could you try the velvet chocolate ones for me and let me know how they are??? I don't know if we have those in our area... will look...

you would then be the muffin man.

Do you know the muffin man????

I think I'll be adding that to my grocery list!

:cool1: :cool1: I hear that there is a very good WW leader in Chicago... you might have to leave early to make his meetings...

OK....a Trader Joe's list is being started also.

.......anything else? I think I need to dig out an old WW booklet to make sure I get the necessary/correct staples.

.

Trader Joes french green beans!!!!! They are really the thin ones and very tasty!!!! AND they come in a huge bag... go for it... I buy 2 bags and put them in the cooler bag I got there last trip.

I enjoyed it too, but I was sooooooo disappointed when it arrived. I honestly thought our server was playing a joke as when we ordered it we were so excited!!!:lmao:

I still would like to try the real thing though.

I wonder if they are going to revamp it for the next repo...

Where is V?:confused3

That sounds like a great birthday present.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh... you got yourself out of that one mister!!! :rotfl:

Just When You Thought it was Safe to Go Back in the Fountain

Some of you might remember the fight over the fountain and the algae.

I had to disassemble the fountain, clean out the muck to get it working again. Sukie was dead set against getting a treatment for the water to keep the algae down.

I came home from work on Thursday, and sat down to relax on the front porch, listen to the splashing of the fountain.

Suddenly, silence. The fountain had stopped again. After checking electrical connections, I determined that it was once more blocked with algae and muck.

This time I put my foot down and we went off to Lowes (or Lo and Behold as we call it), to get something to treat the water.

Sukie balked about the birds and plants. I told him that I would be fine not treating the water if he could guarantee me that the birds and plants were capable of handling a screwdriver and would clean it out the next time this happened.

We settle on a pond treatment, as it might be gentler since it was intended to safe for fish. The label said it would take care of the algae.

I don't he's very happy about it, but is grudgingly learning to live with it.

Frankly I should have just done this year exactly what I did last year, which was put the water treatment blocks in the fountain when he wasn't around, hiding it under the rocks.

We never had a problem with algae last year.

Now a funny thing happened. A red Smart Car pulled in just as we were going to leave and parked right near us.

Odd, it looked a lot smaller than our car.

Ian... could you try the velvet chocolate ones for me and let me know how they are??? I don't know if we have those in our area... will look..

Yes, I've seen them. They sell all 4 mixes at Jewel.

I should tell you all that the mix makes 12 muffins.

While we're on the subject of food today ... in addition to dealing with algae, I picked up an inexpensive ice cream maker at Target (one of those that doesn't use ice and salt but you put in the freezer)

At my meetings last week, I was wondering whether the WW Smoothie mix would be good if put in an ice cream freezer.

One of my members, has a freezer and came back this week and reported that she tried it and thought it was very good.

I figured that since I like the smoothies so much, and if made with water they are only 1 point that I would start whipping up some. It would be a good way to get in my dairy too.

Can I put sprinkles on top??? (I know... flame me... too many points...) ;)

Sounds like a fortune cookie.

Woody

Yes, my fortune.

yup email is a good thing :thumbsup2

I was dreaming about selling crap on ebay. well not crap just all the stuff that is crapping up my house. I must get this started.

Yes, I hauled in the last of the rubbermaids this morning and messed up my semi-clean office for round two of selling.

Well, we had a teleconference yesterday with the President of Staples on Friday, he said that they have sold like 47,000 of them and that all the money has gone to Boys and Girls Clubs of America. So I guess it is a fundraiser!

OOOOHHHH, now I get it!

Had to come by to Dis for a minute. My brain is fried after 9 hours of researching drugs. I'm still in my PJ's I've been sitting here for so long! I have to take a break and turn off the computer today. :headache:

I'm about to do new presentation about all the deaths, emergency room visits etc. from energy drinks mixed with alcohol (it's deadly!!!); LSD recipes; contaminated drugs and secret ingredients in drug mixtures and how all of those interacts with the human body. Doesn't that sound exciting everyone? It's actually going to be a fun presentation beginning with the old fashion health class from the 50's. I'm also researching Home schooling and drug education.

If anyone has any old health books, I need goofy covers of health books or drug class pictures from the 50's- 70's.
