It was cold in Church this morning, and it was sunny outside! Such a cold N wind!! Everybody is so fed up with the weather here.

I did see Nan at church - she has put weight on though!;)

This week I have also seen Cork, Kathe and Jackie.
I saw Tammy at the library yesterday. Isn't it funny how we do that?

For those who are worrying, I had a PM from Deb and she and John are away for the weekend visiting an ill relative. She is feeling down so I know would appreciate your love and hugs too.
Thanks Marilyn. Also, isn't this near when she lost her mom last year?

 Good luck Angie....what a frustrating experience this has been, but hopefully the idea of losing the 20K will make him much more agreeable! :goodvibes
We'll be down on the Oregon Coast somewhere next weekend....you guys don't live out that way, do you? I just remember you DISing sometimes from your MH on the coast. We are visiting friends and I don't know quite where their house is yet:confused3

We are not far from Lincoln City. It takes us only about an hour to get there. PM me when and where you will be. We might be able to visit for at least a few min. I know when you are visiting friends it is sometimes hard to work in other things.

Kelly - I was planning on us taking a cab to the courthouse. I looked at a map and the distance isn't all that far to the old courthouse.

That sounds like a very good idea. We don't see a lot of cabs here (because everything is so far away and too expensive, so if you need help with that let me know.

Staples merger continues to be interesting. I have the 12 percent off coupon if anyone want me to mail one to you.

Okay, off to read!

Just went to Staples yesterday, still don't know what an easy button does?????

Actually I think Kelly and I need to have a conference.

Kelly, let's talk after Molly's bday, (wednesday) only one party plan in my immediate head this week. still trying to come up with birthday favors for the cast of 35 kids. I'm going to look for those little musical instruments filled with small round candy beads. if anyone sees them let me know!!!

35 kids!!!!

Sounds good! we'll set up a time on email.

I think Conestoga Wagon is a good fit... oh wait... horse and carriage... or well... Model T??? What look are you going for again???

Kelly... I thought Ian and Sukie wanted to GO to 1st day of Kindergarden???

My neighbor just bought a Model T yesterday. It's stunning.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
As you can tell, I'm playing on the DLR forum of the DIS. I know you asked about BlueBayou, and I seem to be reading some more positive reviews lately.
.

I'm always confused about the bad reviews, we've never had a bad meal there.

This morning I made an ADR at the Blue Bayou for the day we arrive. I'm now taking the 3rd off, because I figured that given the late flight, we'd finally get to our hotel at about 1AM if we were lucky. Then on top of it, our bodies would think it was 3AM. Considering we're getting married the next day ...
So, we are now going to be spending the afternoon in DL with ressies at the Blue Bayou.

We were thinking about going there that day for lunch. We like lunch because it's about the same menu for much less money. Yes, sit by the water.

The Twilight Zone Suburb of Terror

He spots on another level a store called, "Total Weddings," or something like that.

He says, "Let's go there."

I tell him, "They don't mean our wedding." Nevertheless, he goes running off (well he has his cane, so he actually goes hobbling off). I trot after him.

We do not (thankfully) go into the store, but stand in the doorway mouths agape. It is filled with (OK, this is our opinion) the most hideous collection of of wedding dresses and brides maids gowns, in the most hideous colors imaginable.

It made me think that a derange milliner stuffed themselves with bolts, and bolts, and bolts of garrish taffeta and then threw-up.

There was a wedding dress (complete with we think a hoop underneath) that was in black and silver.

Keep in mind now that the mall is packed.

Sukie points at the black and silver monstrosity and in a loud voice says, "That's a wedding dress!? That looks more like something you would wear to Joan Collins funeral!"

Well, if people weren't staring before they certainly were now. We were doubled up laughing.

The rest of the adventure was somewhat tamer, though people did continue to stare.

On the bright side, I did find the socks I had in mind for our wedding ensembles.

Very funny

Oh, I know, I did that a couple months ago with things I haven't used in a year. But these are things I use regularly, such as envelopes, batteries, battery chargers, various computer disks, USB storage thingies, bingo daubers, etc. Things I use, but have no place to put them the days I don't use them. My bedroom has a bed, with 2 layers of drawers underneath for my clothes, but that's it. Everything else just lies around on the floor.

Oh! I know what would work. One of those 3 drawer plastic thingies. Tyler has a bunch of them in his room for toys and they're wonderful. That's what I need to get....problem solved.

Do I need to come out and organize you!

On our clutter end, we are actually starting to see a difference in the emptiness of all of our stuff. I still have many rubbermaids to go through, but we are making a difference and I made enough money to pay my credit cards for the entire summer. Now I'll try to pay them off! :lmao:

Sell on Ebay, declutter and pay off credit cards -:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Bobby is on his way to North Carolina. :dance3: He will go to DL and then back thru the Canal in Aug. :woohoo: He is traveling with the Geeks that are on that trip. :grouphug: He will be traveling with LBGraves (Lisa) and family. He was very excited, but was not looking forward to the less than first class accomodations flying clear across the country! He will feel much better thoough once the children get him out of the box. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: Actually, I've made good progress, believe it or not. :goodvibes I'm going to try to continue throught out this week, but that's difficult because we're on the go so much Mon, Tues, and Wed with Tyler's stuff. BUT....after I drop him off on Wednesday, I can get back to it and hope by the end of next weekend to have things looking great! :thumbsup2

Hooray for Bobby! More traveling! I hope we get to see pictures.

Speaking of Bobby, Tyler's book came in the mail on Friday. He gets to see it shortly because he'll be home any minute now. :thumbsup2 He's going to go nuts! That reminds me, I'd better put new batteries in my camera and I'll share him checking out his Bobby Banana book later tonight.

:cool1: WHAOO!! :cool1:

You fixed it by dropping it? Why didn't I think of that when ours didn't work :confused3

This thread is wonderful--we are learning how to get over kidney stones and fix internet connections. Amazing.

Now if we could get some real estate to see and a motorhome--We'd all be good.

Jan :earsgirl:

I meant some REAL ESTATE TO SELL, SELL, not see.

And a motorhome to SELL!!

Sitting at a hospital in Van Nuys.

My dad had back surgery on Wednesday and the procedure went well.

However, something is not right and dad is not good. His Parkinson's makes things worse.

The Panama trip was a wonderful trip for us and though we didn't actually meet many of you onboard (we did meet quite a few people!) coming back here and reading brings back fond memories of all the planning and sharing everyone did for over a year prior to the trip.

Thank you for taking my mind off things I don't have a say in.

:grouphug:

Sorry about your Dad. Post when you can.

Prayers and pixie dust comingn your way!! for healing and strength for all.

Often a good smacking gets it working again.

Works on me!

I'm feeling bad for little Miss What'shername on your counter. What is her name again?

The cutie on the counter is Ms. Bennett! :goodvibes

yes Ms Bennett, don't lay a hand on her :furious:

Oh, I'm sure she always behaves properly and never needs a smack! :goodvibes

Just saw her namesake on PBS this past weekend. THAT Mrs. Bennet could have used a smack once or twice!

This week I have also seen Cork, Kathe and Jackie.

I have dopplegangers everywhere.

You know, there is a Jackie with my exact name floating around the UK somewhere (Leeds I think), she belongs to a women's vollyball team....I found her when I 'Googled' myself!:lmao:

.

Made a little bit more progress this morning. Another load of laundry about to come out of the dryer, and then the one in the washer can go into the dryer. Put away a bunch of stuff in the kitchen.

I think Tyler and I might go swimming today if it doesn't storm. :thumbsup2

Still waiting for Tyler to come home. His dad told me he'd drop him off in the morning, before noon. Well, it will be noon in 10 more minutes. Good grief, that man drives me nuts.

So Tyler got home right at noon, we're about to have lunch, and then enjoy our day together. Bye until tonight! :goodvibes
