You'll just be exhausted by 8pm every night, but won't be able to go to bed because you'll have to stay up late making cupcakes for the next day at school or something. ;)

I'm not worried about getting less sleep. I just don't want any of the relationships to suffer because I'm tired and resentful. Plus we'll have to do a lot more work on the weekends that I can usually get done during the week and that might make Jon resentful. It is hard to get in the habit of doing things that you haven't had to do in years.

That's really gonna stink. I don't know how people do it either.

The boredom is going to kill me I think. I have no idea how I'll make it until 4:00 today. Good thing it's not one of my 5:00 days. Mon & Wed I work through my lunch hour and leave early to get Tyler to karate. Then I don't lose any hours. :thumbsup2 Tuesdays I do the same, but have to leave earlier (3:00) to get Tyler to occupational therapy. It really stinks that each weekday he's with me we have something to rush to. By the time we get home, it's a quick dinner then bath & bed for Tyler. Not much time together, but I guess that's the way it has to be. At least we have Saturday evenings when he gets home from his dad's and all day on Sundays.

OK, I was wrong when for one of Tyler's diagnoses I said ADHD-nonspecific. It's actually ADHD NOS and it means:

Attention- Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Not Otherwise Specified
This category is for disorders with prominent symptoms of inattention or hyperactivity-impulsivity that do not meet criteria for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.

Just had to clear that up. ;)

Is it Molly's birthday today? If so.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY

Have a great day and enjoy your party with all 34 friends!!!:dance3:

she says Thanks!!!! in a sign song voice and adds

Happy Birthday Molly!!

Gretchen has followed Daniel's growth pattern exactly. (Gretchen is July 24th and Daniel is August 3rd so they are almost exact) Until now....Daniel grew at the end of 6th grade and all though the summer. Gretchen has not changed at all this summer. I just spent $300 on dance shoes for her.....still a size 2.

She has been dancing all summer...but in two weeks starts intensvie dance camp. For two weeks, I think they dance 40 hours a week!! Then Labor Day and then school starts!!

Molly says Thanks and tell Gretchen I said Happy Birthday to her too. (in the sing dong voice again)

Wow that's a lot of dancing :dance3:

Nan...great pic of the kids. Hope opening night is great and that you survive the slumber party! :goodvibes

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY!!!

Molly says thanks and  (no more sing song voice)

Dyspraxia is frustrating, but also manageable. There are many people who believe you can retrain your brain with this type of disorder. With daily therapy people can learn by using a different part of their brains.

Deborah, I'm trying to get my internship for my doctorate at a place that does nothing but brain imaging for these types of issues. As I learn more about it I'll let you know. You may find that with the brain image you can learn more about how to help Keith.

For Holly and Deborah:

Kelly, stick me on this list as well. This is what I suspect for Molly but have been unable to find anyone to diagnosis it.

Cheri, btw, she is being retested at the begining of the year for LD, thank heavens.

After finishing that book, I've decided it is my house that has a fat butt.

thank heavens I was feeling like it was directed at us personally. I can live with a fat butt house no problem. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I need somebody to hold my eyelids open for me.

Oh, I would never delete myself from anywhere, I love chatting too much! :rotfl2: No, I wrote her back and told her I didn't respond to the invite that came in the regular mail because it only said to respond if we're coming, which I'm not. :thumbsup2
.
Good answer!..::yes::

I would say see ya later gators but my kids have decided that they want to play webkins all day and not go to see the JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH...what is wrong with these kids :confused3

I respect people that can balance both but I don't understand how they get it all done. I have to figure it out soon since I will be working a lot more once Brooke starts first grade. I'm a little scared that something will suffer or I will resent having to do it all.

Well, there is plenty I don't get done... like I have a clutter problem! Too bad I'm the cheapest person on the planet or I'd hire a housecleaner. So, the thing that goes for me is that I don't have the cleanest house in the world, but my sister says I'm crazy and that she can't tell. (note to her.... her house is messier!)

OOOOHHHH, I didn't realize this was an issue for Molly as well. The Charles Armstrong School in Belmont specializes in Dyslexia. If you were interested in a good diagnosis I could easily call up there for the right professional. Are you getting it done with your school? We could talk about it if you want a top notch reference. People come all the way from San Jose, Oakland and San Rafael for their kids to go to that school. It's amazing.

Try Fred Flintstone, he has the good toothpicks for eyelids.

Oh we saw that this past weekend....good movie! Tell them to get off the computer and go see the movie! or tell them i am in the orange room on webkins:lmao:
Oh there is an idea....we can all hijack our kids WK accounts and play those games against each other one night! :thumbsup2

:

I have many kids in all these categories in my practice. I am working with a company right now that is preparing a nutrional supplement for the Autism spectrum disorders (which includes sensory integration, ADD etc) and I am hoping that my clinic will become a trial location. I try and use alternative treatments rather than traditional prescriptions, but sometimes that is necessary as a starting spot before therapies and such can take effect and lessen the need for medications. I am really excited about the research they are finally doing into all these areas. There is so much frustration that can be avoided if we know exactly what we are dealing with and how to help them....rather than the guessing game that we have been playing for years........
