:rotfl2: They're one of those families that never do anything without it being all 4 of them together, so no spa for them. Their kids probably won't go to the kids club either because they're so used to the whole family going everywhere together.

My friend that just went said her kids didn't go until Wed night :scared1: My kids were mad that we couldn't leave them when they had the family thing the first day.

What night is pirate night on the 3night? Anybody know? Isn't it the 2nd night?

OK everybody, I'm looking for a little help. Tyler's buddy and family are leaving Saturday for 4 days at WDW, then 3 on the Wonder. Mom, Dad, son (6) and daughter (4). The mom, my friend Libby, asked if there's anything I wish I packed but forgot. I told her I can't think of anything, but can you think of anything newbies might want? The kids have never traveled. Mom & Dad cruised on the Wonder about 10 years ago, but nothing since. I told her about duct tape for the closet doors onboard and the over the door shoe organizer for bathroom stuff that some of you folks use. Anything else important that's unique to cruising or WDW?

Ask them if they want me to buy the kids their first set of ears. I could take care of that if they'd like me to. There are also the 1st timer buttons that could be waiting for them at the hotel (if they're staying on site). Let me know.

Things to keep kids busy on the plane; snacks; suntan lotion; camera; extra batteries &/or memory card; any stuffed animal or toy that each kid can't do w/o.

This was so much more fun when it was my birthday :lmao: :lmao: Yours is tomorrow but I must have missed when hers was.

Sunday... but I'm running away so you will have to celebrate without me... :goodvibes

Wilson and Molly had them summer 2006. Their doctor recommended not to take the vaccine as it can give one a false sense of security. I am relieved they have had them in full force. They stayed with a friend (day before they were spotted) whos kids had the shots and those kids both got them, so what's the point?

I saw a kid with them last week at the Boardwalk @ Santa Cruz. It's still out there.

Now it's just simply called Connect the Dots!!! :rotfl:

Aaaw, you are sweet. We have a few over there that join in, but I think it is a bit early for most folk. Our bunch, just having got off our wonderful, memorable, smashing, fantastic, special(etc etc) cruise, just kept chatting and wanted to organise things, but Jackie quietened all our enthusiasm saying we were too early!!!

:lmao: No, I just suggested it might be a bit too soon to start any LISTS.

Not a spoilsport.....just the voice of reason! Plus....I only suggested we wait till we hit the ONE YEAR mark. :lmao:

.

:flower3: :wave2: Michelle!

How are you? Are you still at the lake?

On my way back up this afternoon... should leave in about an hour (or when this shower passes... )

Have a good weekend!!! Be back on Tuesday (but if it rains I'll haul my butt up to the library for my 29 1/2 minutes of internet time that I will have had to bribe a kid for who is playing games on the computer...)

Drive safe and have a good time.

BTW did anything come from the land thing?

No, the fair was the Ventura County Fair.

Well you would know better than me. After I wrote it I thought someone would tease me because I said state instead of county but I didn't change because I figured people would get a good laugh out of it. I didn't figure that I was in the wrong city!

Good afternoon - taking a few minute break to get caught up.

I think you must be a great understanding WW leader Ian.

Ian - I have never had any desire to do WW but I think it would be interesting to watch you lead a meeting. I love the common sense and facts that you dish out.:) You are so right about Frequency and Portion. I need to find the balance between exercising, and eating properly. My brain knows this, I just get busy sometimes and opt for easy which isn't good. Need to change the pattern so I can keep up with my kids.

eeeeekkkkk Chicken pox how awful! I haven't heard of someone getting chicken pox in a decade! I haven't had the chicken pox, so it scares me when I hear about it.

My girls both got the vaccine and they haven't had it yet even though its been through their daycare many times. I know there's a chance they'll get it, because the vaccine isn't 100% and they don't know how long the vaccine is even good for. I was exposed many times as a kid and didn't get it until I was 14! It was awful.

Time to get back to work. Have a great day everybody :)

I just got this in an e-mail today. Wow, what a message.
Jan :earsgirl:

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year Old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.' The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door. 'Are you asleep, son?' he asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father. 'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

This is just a short reminder to all of us working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company (school, church, etc.) that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

Hmmm ... Here are some things that someone cruising for the first time might want to pack:
