Ask them if they want me to buy the kids their first set of ears. I could take care of that if they'd like me to. There are also the 1st timer buttons that could be waiting for them at the hotel (if they're staying on site). Let me know.

Things to keep kids busy on the plane; snacks; suntan lotion; camera; extra batteries &/or memory card; any stuffed animal or toy that each kid can't do w/o.
Monica! You're so sweet! Thanks for the offer! I just called her to make sure it was their first time, but found out I was mistaken. The kids have been to WDW, just not on the cruise, so they're not first timers. Thanks anyway though! :grouphug:

Yup, she's packed all the stuff you mentioned, plus the portable DVD player for the flight. Thanks! :thumbsup2

2nd night....you can see copies of the 3 nt Navigators on:

www. castaway club .com

I'm jealous that they get to see the new Toy Story show.
Oh, I always forget about the castaway club website. Too much info on too many places for me to remember where I saw it! ;) Thank you! I'm jealous too about Toy Story. I told her to take lots of pictures for me and remember all the details so she can tell me all about it.

Hmmm ... Here are some things that someone cruising for the first time might want to pack:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
OK, that all went right over my head, but it still made me laugh because I was thinking, "What the heck????"

Well, I have to run up to Dollar Tree and get some Belly Flops. :goodvibes

I love Dollar Tree! Not only do they have my beloved Belly Flops, I also found a cute little picture for Tyler's bedroom. It has Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, and Minnie all playing in a park. VERY cute and he's gonna go nuts when he sees it! :goodvibes Such happiness for only a dollar.

BUT.....they made me mad a couple days ago when I noticed they've started getting their Christmas stuff out. :headache: I think that's the earliest I've ever seen. :sad2:

Yes, I have a love/hate relationship with Dollar Tree.

So where did everybody go again? I suppose Michelle is driving back from the lake. Is everybody else watching the Olympics again? OK, we KNOW Kelly is! And probably John1.

I guess I'm just BORED. Am I really the only one who doesn't have a life? :rotfl:

Looks like I just might accomplish Gaylean's goal and have a page all to myself! :lmao:

I'm here - was reading the latest updates to Tom's (I'mtooexcitedtosleep) saga with his TA. Also read his trip report. He was on the Magic for the actual 10th anniversary date.

I won't be staying up too much longer.....luckily tomorrow's my friday.

I'm surprisedm the store had Christmas stuff out already...what happened to Halloween and Thanksgiving???

They put their Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff out together last month. :scared1: Tyler was absolutely disgusted. It was funny to see his shock. He doesn't know when those days are, but he knows they don't come in the summer! ;)

Ooooh, Super Nanny is on. I LOVE her! When Tyler was 2, I was glued to her show every week and used all of her techniques to battle the terrible 2s. It all works. Tonight she's dealing with a family with SEVEN kids! I guess I'll go watch that and hope somebody gives me something to read here afterwards! :goodvibes

Oh....goodnight Monica! :cloud9:

Did you guys hear that the world's tallest (7 ft/7 in) woman died today? Her name was Sandy Allen - I learned about her probably about 2 1/2 yrs ago after seeing a show on the Discovery Channel. Interesting thing (IMO) is that she was just part of another show on the same channel over the weekend or Monday about the world's tallest man. She was only 53.

Nite nite
Enjoy the show

I got a pm from Gydell today....she said she had a great time in Mexico, and we're going to try to get together next month when she's down here. I'm assuming Betsy and Brent will be there too....and hopefully Bill too.

Ian - I have never had any desire to do WW but I think it would be interesting to watch you lead a meeting. I love the common sense and facts that you dish out.:) You are so right about Frequency and Portion. I need to find the balance between exercising, and eating properly. My brain knows this, I just get busy sometimes and opt for easy which isn't good. Need to change the pattern so I can keep up with my kids.
:)

You're so right about opting for the easy. It's my biggest problem....that drive home when I know I don't want to cook/prepare, it's just easier to pull into a restaurant or worse yet, hit a fast food/pizza place.

The dentist was able to reattach my veneer....it wasn't damaged so thank heaven I didn't have to spring for a new one! BTW, I LOVE my dentist....he's Dr. No Pain. :thumbsup2

Oh....it's Wed....better get out of here and pick up a lottery ticket....do I have enough time to get on the EB if I win tonight??????

.

But his bra size will go up a couple of sizes... :lmao:

Ya but if he's anything like me, he'll gone down four sizes after he's done nursing :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Man Bubba . . . you really need to come back on this one - I thought they only picked on me . . .

John, you know we all love you EVEN MORE with this pictoral evidence of what a good sport you are! :grouphug:
.

Yeah, yeah, yeah . . . good sport . . . kind of like saying you have a "great personality" . . .

J/K

I just got this in an e-mail today. Wow, what a message.
Jan :earsgirl:

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year Old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.' The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door. 'Are you asleep, son?' he asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father. 'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

This is just a short reminder to all of us working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company (school, church, etc.) that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

Thanks Jan! I have already sent this along to a few people who REALLY need this message!
