OK, here's where we were treated to lunch today: http://www.hfs.msu.edu/stateroom/. I don't see any pictures, but here's the lunch menu we had: http://www.hfs.msu.edu/stateroom/menus/sr_lunch.pdf. I had the South of the border shrimp cocktail and Chesapeake Bay crab cakes. There were a few kinds of wines out too, but I don't like wine, so I had diet coke. My dessert was vanilla ice cream (made at MSU's dairy) with crumbled oreos, chocolate sauce, warm caramel sauce and lots of whipped cream. YUMMY!!!! I'm still stuffed and haven't eaten anything since. A very delicious three hours! :cloud9:

On ABC now is the special about my kids High School, Westfield. It is interesting....turn it on.....or watch it later on the West Coast. It is on 20/20 for 2 hours.

Just back from a great time with Connie, Chuck, Patrick, Ann and Albert. Checked in online and got to pack now.

I want to go to the Tropical Rainforest. Anyone want to come?

Glad you had a great time... have a safe trip home!!!

ME!!!

are you kidding me???? I'll be there on the afternoon of the 12/27 and be thinking of you :flower3:

Oh good... rub it in... I'll be here watching it snow and eating leftover Xmas cookies...

It's raining and flooding. I don't own an umbrella but they want me to work cross walk for someone tomorrow. I'm not wondering why the normal parking lot attendant called in sick  This is depressing and I couldn't even imagine living in a place with so much rain. I couldn't sleep last night because it was pounding on the roof.

I've got the rest of my cards done and now I need to send them. You guys may get them on Christmas Eve :upsidedow

On a better note, my interview is Wednesday and I'm not nervous at all, like I should be. I have too much to do because I have book fair at school and Grandparent's Day. I'm not done shopping either.

G...

a little rain never hurt anyone... it makes the flowers bloom... just remember that...

And you can have my ice if you want... ;)

Hey Jan... a bit better today... My head still feels like it's full... just my sinuses... I still catch myself tearing up from time to time... but the initial part is passed... The NJ memorial will be good - lots of friendly people there for me to hide out with...

Oh and here...:cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: (It's on the bottom with the pets and "nature..."

Thanks for the shivers! It was cold here but dry and not icy when I was out. A few accidents happened earlier in the day but I waited until 1 pm.

And, whenever I thought I was "over" the tearing up about my Dad, it would hit again. When it does, let it. It is OK. Let us know and we will send hugs.

Jan :santa:

All done shopping for Tyler, except for camo underwear & bathrobe. He says what he MOST hopes Santa will bring is some camo underwear and camo bathrobe and any camo clothes and some new firefighter stuff. So....a few firefighter things ordered, camo underwear can be found at Kohl's, and camo bathrobe at Target. Will pick those up Wed after taking him to his dad's and then just have to wrap.

I only bought for Tyler and his 3 cousins and 3 of his friends. No adult family or friends. Made it very simple this year. :thumbsup2

Oh, I still have to get something for Tyler's newest cousin acquired from my brother's marriage last year, but since we don't know her well (but have been told she loves to read), we'll just give her a gift card to a bookstore where she lives.

And we did get a couple things for my mom, but it's easier to get for her than my dad's family because there's only her whereas my dad's family has 8 adults to buy for (not happening).

Now I can just sit back and enjoy! :cloud9:

I don't really like being bundled up inside. I think it may be better if it were snowing. That seems peaceful. It has seriously not stopped raining since 2:00 am. I can't remember a time when it rained so much. We haven't had much in a few years. It is nice not to have to water the lawn. I hope no one feels like I am complaining because I know a lot of people have it worse. I am just not personally a cold weather person. I'm trying to figure out what to wear tomorrow because I wore my only long sleeve shirt today. I hope my shoes dry before tomorrow :upsidedow

I keep trying to convince both of our families to do a name draw. I think they're fun and you spend less. It is sad because I have more fun at Jon's "white elephant" gift exchange than I do exchanging with everyone. It is really fun. We don't actually give used gifts. We spend $50.00 or less and it is interesting to see what people get and give. That is this Wednesday so I'll let you guys know what I end up with. I think it is so nice that you get to relax now :cloud9:

Glad you are having such a good time :cool1:

Did Connie say how Patrick is doing? :confused3

What was this TOY STORY MANIA MEET?

Jan

The Toy Story Mania Meet was this past Sat at the Studios. Dreams Unlimited and a few other sponsors rented out the Toy Story ride from 9:30pm to 12:30am. I think they said about 500 or so were able to get in. They had a great dessert buffet too. It was a blast. Unfortunately we aren't able to post any pictures from the event.
