Hey for the record, while watching the SJ Xmas Parade, I just saw a PINK Hummer Limo. So now I place my hat into the running to have the GNO...we can start in San Jose, party and then fly over to Deborah. Of course I'll have the Pink Hummer drive us to the airport the long way so we can enjoy it

Count me in....sounds like way too much fun to miss!:hippie:

Hi everybody. I haven't been on since US thanksgiving, so I'm way behind. Just made it from Ian's thanksgiving pictures up to page 100. Only 38 more pages to go later today.

Gaylean - congrats on passing your tests!

Deb - stay strong with the no smoking! you're doing great. You are a strong person for tackling no smoking, dieting, adding a 17yr old to your house! Wow!:worship:

Hi to everybody! Here's a quick update from Ken & I.

We've been busy. The kitchen is almost complete. Just needs a sink! I was happily putting things away in the new cupboards while Ken was working on stuff outside. Then he needed my help, so I had to head outside for a while. Here's a pic of me dressed for the snowy yardwork.:goodvibes

Shannon, I had to go back and comment....I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture. You're such a nut! I think you should become Sassy Bubbles' assistant mascot....Corky! hahahahaha!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Back from my WW meetings and having lunch. I'm glad this morning is behind me. It was crazy.

I also had some other WW leaders show up for my 11AM meeting to see how I was handling the conversion and the information. That made me a bit nervous, but I was also really flattered that they came to see my "performance."

I also had Saturday members, because they did not want to wait a whole week to get the new info, plus I had a lot of lifetime members who came for the new plan.

It all went very well, but we were understaffed because it took longer to process each member because the member books are changed. Since we're a computerized center that entailed having to print out new bar codes, etc.

I'm glad I handled it as a getting started session, because even the long term members got a lot out of it and were really energized.

Now I can get on with the rest of my day!

Whew! Bet you're relieved that that's over. I'm sure you did a great job.

Oh no, I remember when I did it as a kid, the goal was to stay up all night, so I want him to have that fun too. :goodvibes Next time I just need to be better prepared and drink more caffeine. :thumbsup2

Couldn't go back to sleep today, but we've not been doing much. Watched one of the many Star Wars movies, went to get our prescriptions refilled, did some Christmas shopping for 3 of Tyler's friends, ate Subway for lunch. Now home to rearrange furniture so we can put the tree up. Might decorate just the tree today and do our other decorations tomorrow. Have lots of laundry to do too. Definitely going to bed early tonight! :cloud9:

What a busy beaver you are. I'm exhausted just reading. How are the meds doing for you and Tyler? Are they kicking in yet and making things a little better for each of you?

Cheech and Chong were awesome! Like they were never apart for all these years! Their timing was perfect! And the air freshener was of the finest quality, if ya know what I mean!:smokin: Dinner was tasty too! Got home at 3am! All I can say is........." Dave's not here man! "

sorry! V forgot the camera!

Too bad you didn't get any pictures. I would have loved to have seen those. Glad you had a great time.

The "pine" scent was......... in line as we were walking in, stronger as you went through the doors, all throughout the food areas( couldn't even smell the popcorn!popcorn:: ), stronger in the restrooms(took an extra, exra long time washing my hands:lmao: ), and of course in the arena itself! I think it was pumped in through the a.c. vents!:rotfl2:Kinda like Disney does with the candy smell on Mainstreet!

Far out man! Groovy! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :hippie: :hippie: :hippie: :hippie: :hippie:

Had a very quiet day today. Breakfast in room and then a drive out to see where our villa is we have booked for May. couldn't get top the actual villa as it is a gated community, but the place looks very nice indeed. A couple of Publix close by which is great.

Then we came back to SSR and A channel is broadcasting them all the time so it is fun.:lmao:

We have a meal booked at Season's 52 offsite tonight which we have enjoyed before. It was our best meal last December. We have had some unexciting servers at meals this time. Basically they have just done a their job, nothing more. So far our best servers have been at le Chefs de France and Crystal Palace. It has been disappointing to me.

I remember you sending me the link to Seasons 52. I was very impressed with their menu. For some reason we just never got there when in FL but will keep it in mind for next time. Maybe we could go together in April.

Deb

Eye mask was from internet as I don't know what it called as Katie's boyfriend ordered it for ladies as it is expensive. I keep it in my bedroom....

It should be fun for champagne girls.....

Scottishwee35

We already have boas, yes I ordered them and they should be here any day now, and we have tiaras, that are already here. I think if we ordered the masks it would look like mardi gras instead of a champagne tasting. :rolleyes1

I have 2 days of it done, but one would really have to be following the program and know what one's target points are for each day.

All I did was look at available frozen and prepared foods and showed how filling and satisfying meal plans could be built out.

Oh, I'm not familiar with the point system that WW uses so I guess it wouldn't help me. Filling and satisfying meals are key to keeping honest long term. I can imagine that it takes some time thinking about the meals and planning them and shopping for them. It's more work than I can put into it. I'll stick with BistroMD. I don't do cooking. John cooks....mostly on weekends because of time constraints during the week. He made a crock pot pea soup with ham and bacon chunks....delicious. He made pasta and sauce tonight....gotta keep the teen fed.

thanks Deb, Crush actually started to behave more normal once the tank was clean. I do believe that they should be ok since that's how it is in nature, but also in nature their poop is eaten by other fish and such, so not sure :confused3

Good point that I hadn't thought of Nan....poopy!

Maybe it's an individual thing about how a turtle will react to his environment. Who knows, we'll have to ask Talkin Crush. hahaha!

The news just reported that it's 9F degrees in Mt. Pocono.....that's just north of me. We have about an inch of snow on the ground....that's all we got. It was our first accumulation of snow this season. It made everything pretty for a little bit while it was falling.

Tomorrow I take Tom to a guidance counsellor appointment at 7:30 am. He picks out his classes and gets his schedule. Hopefully he'll be able to start right away after the meeting. He also put in a lot of applications for a part time job locally and in the mall. He heard back from one place that wants to schedule him for an interview. We're so excited and anticipating good news resulting from this. We'll wait and see. Tom also has a PA driving permit now. He can take his road test whenever he's ready. John took him driving today and said he did very well. He'll be getting his license soon. We just want him to get used to driving on mountain roads as compared to flat and straight roads in FL. Tom is not even here a week yet and he's already accomplished so much. We're really proud of him. Just wish he didn't eat so much. hahaha!

Cold here too... I'm sleeping in sweats tonight...

Oh and buy a side of beef and you'll be fine...

We already have boas, yes I ordered them and they should be here any day now, and we have tiaras, that are already here. I think if we ordered the masks it would look like mardi gras instead of a champagne tasting. :rolleyes1

Only one new accessory per trip or else we'll run out of ideas... :lovestruc

Michelle, you crack me up....I'm here laughing while the whole house is quiet and everyone is asleep. Too funny.:lmao: :lmao:

Good morning everyone:)
I am off to work until noon at the Beach Club. It's was SO Cold LAST night at EPCOT!!!!!!!!! but the fireworks were great!

Oh, by the way, the daughter of my old friend in Sterling, IL invited me to be her facebook friend! So I joined facebook, too! I hardly ever look at it, but now her other daughter is my facebook friend and a couple of girls from Hunter's Creek are too! I can't keep up with Disboards, I will have to try harder too keep- up.

bye for now:love:

Good Morning All Carbon Based Life Forms (and Nan)!

Another new week. I feel like I'm sliding into holiday mode.

I did not finish that last performance review yesterday. I realized that there was still more input to come from another manager, so I only got about 70% done with the last review. I need to see if the manager is going to finish giving me her input, so I can finish my guy's review. I want to be done with everything by Thursday.

It was a nice a calm afternoon. I did nothing, other than playing video games on my PS3. One game I'm playing (Little Big Planet) you need other people to complete some of the levels. So, I found people to help me. It was both fun and odd, playing a game with complete strangers.

It's 18F right now, so I just know the bus stop is going to be rather thrilling this morning.

I just got back from dropping Tom off at school for his appointment with guidance. They said he should be starting his classes today. YEAH! One hurdle done. I let him drive to school. He definitely can handle the car but needs a lot of work driving on mountain roads. Practice, practice, practice. It was a little scary when he was too far to the right and it was a long way down! EEK! What a way to wake you up in the morning.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I finally have time to myself at home today until about 3:30 pm when Tom gets back. He can ride the bus home, I don't have to pick him up. We're waiting to see if he gets his interview scheduled later. So we may have to run to the mall.

I have about a zillion things to catch up on at home today. Yet here I am back to DISing.

You are all going to laugh at this.....Tom decided he wanted to take his girlfriend Deanna on a Disney cruise. Since he had such a good time last year on the halloween cruise he wanted to do it again. So we went online and priced out a 3 night cat 12 Wonder cruise on halloween in 09. He has to put $200 down to book it and he said he'll do it after he starts getting paid from a job. Then he went on the boards and posted on that cruise thread. He said he would like to form a group with the teens going on the trip. He said my grandma formed the Champagne Girls on her cruises and I would like to do the same sort of thing for teens. OMG now the champagne girls are on the 10/29/09 halloween cruise thread. Those ladies certainly do get around.
