Wow, I finally got some down time for me. It takes all of your attention having a teen in the house. It'll get better this week when he's in school.

I miss being on here with my friends every day and there's so much I want to respond to, but I'm exhausted. I haved increased my activities despite the limitations that I live with. It's taking its toll. I think it's the initial work of getting Tom set up. Once he has a routine, I'll be fine. He'll never be home with school and work.

Nan, it's normal for Crush to not eat sometimes. Magoo, my first and oldest, goes through phases of eating and not eating all the time. He's a repitle. That's a normal pattern for them, especially as it relates to his shedding. They will do that at maturity. I have others, younger, who eat all the time. Will they go into a non-eating phase as they mature.....I don't know. But I know Magoo does and he's fine. I don't think it relates to their water condition. If you think about lakes and rivers and mud, turtles are used to dirty water.

Shannon, I only realized when you said it that I am taking on a lot of stuff all at once. I'm either strong or stupid. hahaha. So glad you kitchen is almost done. I can't wait for the final pictures.

Cheri and Marilyn, we're living vivaciously through you!

Ian, the new WW program sounds like something that many of us on here are interested in. Can you share your weekly menu with us when it's finished?

Deborah, what a fun time you had in your pink outfits with masks and the stretch pink limo. You have the greatest group of friends. Good for you! Have fun!

Jackie, the masks were purple....we need pink for our champagne girls....but it's an idea....just kidding....hahaha.

Bubba, so glad you and V loved C&C. Did it bring you back to days long ago? I'm happy to hear that they are still just as funny.

Gaylean, congratulations on passing your tests. You're on your way to a great job!

Holly, sounds like you and Tyler had a blast....how special.

Hi Michelle and Monica. Hope you're both good.

Hi Jill, Jan, Woody and Lisa. Wishing you all well too.

If I forgot anyone, I'm sorry and old and tired. ha!:lmao:

Deb

Eye mask was from internet as I don't know what it called as Katie's boyfriend ordered it for ladies as it is expensive. I keep it in my bedroom....

It should be fun for champagne girls.....

Holly...

Glad you and Tyler had a great time!!!

Join the Y... we have one here too... great programs and it would be good for you to get Tyler into some of the swimming classes... he won't be so afraid after... :)
Yup, I plan on us joining. I've looked at swimming classes in the past though and the problem was that they're either during the work day or on days he already has appointments or he's at his dad's or whatever, so we'll have to figure that out.

Got all our Christmas stuff down from the attic, tree is up, but not decorated. Will do that after going to the store and having dinner. I'm wiped out!

Hello Holly

Have a fun with decoration at the tree....

I am off to bed now as nearly midnight.....

I had been watching XFactor since 2.30 am this morning as went out last night as I love XFactor and want to know who got out.....

Feel tired now...

Take care

I have 2 days of it done, but one would really have to be following the program and know what one's target points are for each day.

All I did was look at available frozen and prepared foods and showed how filling and satisfying meal plans could be built out.

To add further ... a lot of people think that WW requires a lot of cooking. It doesn't. However, you can't really expect 1 frozen entree to satisfy an appetite. But, if you add low point soup, salad, and zero vegetables (all of which can be microwaved) well then you have points s t r e t c h e d out, and are using low point filling foods that have some staying power.

thanks Deb, Crush actually started to behave more normal once the tank was clean. I do believe that they should be ok since that's how it is in nature, but also in nature their poop is eaten by other fish and such, so not sure :confused3

OK, after a billion trips up and down the ladder into the attic to bring down boxes of Christmas decorations, and rearranging furniture in my living room, that following the hours of roller blading last night, has turned my body into jello. And when I was vacuuming all over today, I kept tripping the fuse, so I'd have to go to the fuse box, flip it back, then vacuum about 5 more minutes, and it kept happening again and again. SO irritating! I guess I just had too many things plugged in. Not going to be easy to get all our Christmas stuff plugged in if this is already happening. Anyway, I'm tired, irritated, and hungry, so I'm off to eat, then watch Desperate Housewives, then to read in bed, so you won't see me back here tonight. Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Nan... glad to hear dear turtle is eating again... offer him mac and cheese next time... or chicken soup if he's feeling a bit off...

Holly... GO TO BED!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Holly sounds like a nice plan. I also got lots cleaned up this weekend, but still more to do :sad2:

We are having a London Broil, oven baked potatoes (peeled and cubed with butter) and asparagas for dinner :woohoo:

Paul sold Willie old kart so he is sticking it and all the parts in his truck and the guy is coming and getting it at his office this week :woohoo: I'm glad it is sold, but feel a little sad to see it go, it's been such a fun 3 years with him in that little kart...his new one is going to be ready next week for a fitting session. I doubt he will be in it before we travel just no time :sad2: all the more fun to look forward too after the 1st ::yes::

Nan...

You're starting to sound like V... (the florida one...) with all the dinner plans... :goodvibes

Hope everybody had a good weekend and is staying warm. In DC it is 25 degrees and really windy. It is so cold outside....YUCK ...to think I was on the Magic in the warmth 9 days ago.

Just back from a wonderful meal at Seasons 52. Really my favourite place to eat. Good server too. Think we will eat more meals off property next time.

Hi Deb and Everyone else too!

So Matt and I did go to do the Angel tree. He wanted to get one who need clothes and I wanted to get toys so we got 2 a boy and a girl. The boy was 4 and wanted pjs. Matt saw some that lite up, so I found batman ones that lite up and had a cape. Matt approved after checking out the cape (for some reason this amused him) and off we went to the toys. He wandered off and I got the girl a game and toy and went toward electronics to find Matt. Only he was in the play-doh aisle. He had picked out play-doh and a dinosaur saying that the boy needed a toy too. I asked why those 2 and he help up the play-doh and made the dinosaur stomp on it while making Dino noises. :lmao: Apparently boys like to smash things. I was laughing and people were looking at us strange. At least he enjoyed it!

Awwww... that's great Jill..

Glad you both had a good time while making your choices...

So.. did you find Matt's size in the PJ's too??? I think you had him at the cape...;)

The news just reported that it's 9F degrees in Mt. Pocono.....that's just north of me. We have about an inch of snow on the ground....that's all we got. It was our first accumulation of snow this season. It made everything pretty for a little bit while it was falling.

Tomorrow I take Tom to a guidance counsellor appointment at 7:30 am. He picks out his classes and gets his schedule. Hopefully he'll be able to start right away after the meeting. He also put in a lot of applications for a part time job locally and in the mall. He heard back from one place that wants to schedule him for an interview. We're so excited and anticipating good news resulting from this. We'll wait and see. Tom also has a PA driving permit now. He can take his road test whenever he's ready. John took him driving today and said he did very well. He'll be getting his license soon. We just want him to get used to driving on mountain roads as compared to flat and straight roads in FL. Tom is not even here a week yet and he's already accomplished so much. We're really proud of him. Just wish he didn't eat so much. hahaha!
