Tween Alert!!!!
My daughter has found her inter-crab...She is mad that dad turned off the cartoons and told her to get dressed and clean her room. She then went to her room to sulk, she got a phone call and I found her in her (dirty) room in her pjs reading. Good thing that friend called...she now has to clean that room to see her friend![]()
The next 3-5 years are going to be hardRemind me not to kill her

Oh, that British chick?
Never been called a chick before!!! Made my day.

And then there is this one and we both look great but I think there are two people that may be a little mad if we send in a holiday card![]()

Oh go on. I would send this one out as the Christmas card, just to see what kid of reaction it got.
It's good to confuse people.
Good Morning All Sentient Beings (and Nan)!
It snowed overnight. I'm going to have to get my butt out and shovel the snow.
It feels great that we got most of our shopping done last night.
Today we have to go to the post office. Sukie needs to mail Christmas presents to his 17 billion grandchildren in the UK. I've somehow gotten suckered into this event.
It a bit sad really, but there's a woman out there in the UK for who I am her stepfather.
Can you imagine that? I'm somebody's stepfather. I can't even quite grasp it.
Maybe I can phone up Lady Chatterlaine later and get some parenting tips.
I'm also a step grandfather (if there is even such a thing) to about 17 billion kids. I've only met one of them, when we all went on a 4-Night DCL cruise and then 8 nights in WDW in a 2-bedroom.
I suppose I'll meet the others eventually. The 17 billion grandchildren rang from 8 years old to 15 years old.
So today is the post office and then a trip to Costco.
Yes, but we'll be leaving you behind, alone in the house, with the evil claw footed one who walks among us ... Tallulah! And her rather dim witted minion, Truman.

OK, where is everyone?
I've already packed up the 9 million toys to ship to the UK, swept the snow off the porch and front stairs and shoveled the front of the house (never having changed out of my footie jammies I might add).
I'm sitting around now waiting for a bout 45 minutes before the post office and Costco opens!
I can see Tallulah's evil plan is working. Your will is not your own anymore.

Well, ours is already 2 days into its journey to you!
Hi Guys, It's been a strep throat kinda house here all week. Unfortunately, Jonathan had it too and was speaking non stop 7 hours per day 5 days in front of big audiences. He feels awful. Z & I are better. We are supposed to go to the candlelight processional tonight, but I don't know that we will make it. All my Xmas stuff is out and mailed last week, (not cards) but all the big stuff.I'm finally getting some catch up time around here and with my computer work. I loved all the Xmas pictures and the maltese is the dog of kings!
I've been emersed in the audio book of the 3rd in the twilight series - love, love, love this one the best. Hi to all.
Last night, I heard on Chicago public radio, during a local segment that the post office is seeing very different types of letters to Santa this year.
They have about 12,000 letters downtown, and the kids are predominantly not asking for big stuff, but necessities like clothing. Letters about parents out of work, etc.
I learned that you can go down to the main post office, browse through the letters, and choose one/s that you will can respond to the child's wish.
My company is right near the main post office. I think on Monday, I'm going to propose to some people I know at work that we consider playing Santa. It might be nice to give some kids something to believe in.
I used to organize toy drives every year at my previous company, not the usual Toys for Tots, but more overlooked areas.
Once I collected toys for terminally ill children in the county hospital. Another year it was for children in a shelter who were victims of domestic violence. I guess I go sort of fringe, and areas of charity that might make some people uncomfortable.
Frankly, I myself have zero emotional feeling for Christmas. None at all. Zippo. It is really something that happens around me, in which I don't participate. It never meant absolutely nothing to me when I was a child, and means nothing to me as an adult.
But, just because it means nothing to me it doesn't mean it means nothing to kids.
It breaks my heart that there are kids who do desperately want Christmas to come to where they're staying and for Santa to remember them.
Kids should be remembered.
I was really moved by the piece on the radio. I'm still thinking about it. I'll call the post office or the radio station on Monday.

Ian, you nut! They're just so adorable! I want to scoop them both up, toss them in a bag and sneak out your door with them.

Sukie was cranky with me because I spent the day in the basement playing video games, so we went out for a walk in the neighborhood.
First or all, it's so cute you could puke, or need insulin. With the lights, trees and wreaths on the main shopping drag, it looks like a Hallmark Christmas special.
There was a Santa out and a booth with free hot cocoa.
Also, if there's a recession, you wouldn't know it to look at my neighborhood. It was PACKED with shoppers! Perhaps, people are just shopping in smaller stores and looking for more unique gifts?
The tent with the Christmas fair was packed. No more champagne but they did have glogg tonight. There was some dude on the stage with guitar who was singing in German.
I expected the Von Trapp family to make an appearance at any minute.

How many steamer trunks are you taking?
