Hey that's only like 20 a day if i only count Dec. I think I can do it. The problem will be that I may go over

Sorry, no time to read any posts right now, later tonight. BUT, just wondered if anybody would be interested in exchanging addresses for Christmas cards. Ian, we know you & Sukie don't celebrate it, but if you don't mind receiving a pretty card, it's always nice to have some extra cheer anytime of year.

Then you will need some self control!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanksgiving and Christmas Days you probably won't be on here anyway.

I would love to send some. I already have a couple of addresses and the cards written to send when I am over, but I won't ask for any in return because of the cost of mailing over here.

You can do a greeting on here for me!!!:)

Thanks, yes, we could but it would hardly justify to have someone come in just to help take him to the bathroom every few hours ( or every 1/2 hour, depending)

Today we went to the Foot and Ankle specialist. He gave him a 'removable cast". I call it a boot. It's a black hard plastic boot with velcro closures. It will help a lot! Patrick was negotiating with the doctor. The doctor wanted Patrick agree to get up and walk down the hall in the boot before he went home. Patrick wasn't too sure about that,so he said, well, maybe but only if my parents can help me!:laughing: that really tickled the doctor. I don't think he's used to having to negotiate his decisions. I told the doctor that Patrick was a good politician, you'd never get a straight answer out of him.

As we were leaving the Doc says to me, " I'd like to meet Pat's brother". I was so surprised, and I asked him why? He said, "His brother's in law school, right? If he's anything like the negotiator that Patrick is, he'll do very well! " :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway, we are fine, at least better now. We got him to move a little on his own, and take a couple of steps here at home, so things will be easier from now on, as he heals, he'll get more mobile again. :flower3:

:cool1: GOOD NEWS!!
Thanks for sharing!

Hello. I'm not sure what is good because we don't have it yet. I looked at the reviews of the thing I asked you about and everyone said it was great for kids and adults.

I'm giving them a picture of Brooke, don't you worry

You could always have Brooke holding a sign in the photo with something on it.

You are so very sweet. That would be so nice.

We typically don't exchange cards with anyone.

Holly - when is your mom taking you to Chicago?

Looks like a row of Humpty Dumpty in Cub Scout hats holding up the roof.

I have not done much actual cooking today. I've spent most of the time working and on conference calls.

The only thing I have gotten to are the roasted root vegetables in apple juice and wine. It's in the oven now.

I reduced 3 quarts of apple juice and a bottle of German Reisling down to 1.5 cups of liquid for the veggies. It was more like a syrup.

The veggies, carrots, sweet potato, parsnips and rutabaga (that's swede to Marilyn and Deborah) are in the oven roasting in the liquid right now.

I may not get to these performance reviews today. I may have to space them out over the days after Thanksgiving.

Well, I have heard of rutabaga but had no idea it was swede!!! I love swede. We have had some tonight and I was thinking it is never like I remember it as a child, and I was wondering why. i don't think I cook it any different than my mother did, or even to how I used to when first married. I decided they just aren't as good as they used to be.:confused3

That sounds a great way to cook the veg. Do you just part cook them and pop them back in the oven on the day?

Yes, Sam and Jake...I remember now. They are both boys and brothers too right? Yes, it's hard work having one puppy to train much less two.....it's twice the trouble to get into. But I bet he has a lot of laughs too.

I'm sure you'll steal one! I would if I were you. As their aunt, you should volunteer to puppysit for them. You'll have fun.

sorry double post.....

Marilyn

Have you got room for me in luggage?

Scottishwee35

Yes, Marilyn you are leaving in about three more days right? Are you all packed yet? Are you getting very excited? I'm sorry that I can't come down at this time of the year too. We're going to Parris Island South Carolina in mid December for my nephew Tristan's graduation from Marine boot camp.

We'll have to wait until April 09 to get together again. I'll be looking forward to it.
