I don't think Paul will take time off work and since Wil's ticket is a freebie it might just be what works for us. I still have time on my AP, but their's are expired already.

I wasn't suggesting it for anyone else to join us (but of course you can if you want to ) just telling ya what he was talking with me about.

That is so nice. Ethan wants to see all his cruise friends again. I'm not sure he would say he wants to spend the day alone with me

Gaylean, I think Deb said she wasn't sure if John would have holidays, because he has to earn them before they can plan a trip.

And we've gone swimming in hotel pools in Feb and Oct in DL. As long as its a sunny day, its possible.

Shannon... convince Gaylean that anything above 50 degrees is tropical for us in Feb...

My biological calendar is off. Am I the only one who thinks that the holiday should be this week?

I keep waking up thinking that I don't have to go to work. I also keep thinking that it's about 2 days later in the week than it is. That's probably because of my WW work that took up all day Sunday.

Speaking of which, I have already started to prepare for my Sunday meetings, which is of course before Thanksgiving.

I have a ton of stuff planned. I ordered silicon bracelets that have inspirational words on them (Believe, Dream, Hope, etc) and I'm giving each member a bracelet as part of their "holiday survival kit." I'm encouraging them to wear it on the wrist of the hand they eat with, and to use it as an emotional anchor to remind them of their goals.

I'm also making up wallet sized cards with tips for getting through celebrations. I also have a host of props, some funny, for tips for getting through cooking a meal without eating while they're cooking.

In addition, I'll do a little exercise with them, that is alway a surprise. I give them paper plates and pens and ask them to write out their meal plan for the day ... after Thanksgiving. They always expect me to have them plan Thanksgiving, but my feeling is that the holiday is one day year, what crucial is what their plan is for the day after, or if Thanksgiving is going to turn into everyday from now until New Years.

Don't worry ... I'll be very quiet when Christmas rolls around, because we don't celebrate it. Sukie and watch movies and have egg and chips for dinner (it's a little tradition of ours that we started in the "old country").

You will be worn out by the time Thanksgiving comes along Ian.

Our local newspaper shop owners who we chat to also have egg and chips for christmas dinner. For them it is a totally relaxing day as they work silly hours for 6 days a week with few days off. No family, so do what they want.

Well at the moment it is sunny and the sky is blue. Not sure how long for, but it looks great.

I am not happy with my work. I went to my work for hand the holiday form as it start from 8.30 am so I went up about 8.40 and realised it was a long queue. Then I handed my form in and one manager said i might not get some holidays. I said well November holiday is my priority. You see her face when I said it. Because I have no planning for next year apart from November 09. I must fill in all 5 weeks holiday, if i don't put any 5 weeks holiday then I don't get any holidays. Seem daft, how I know what is planning ahead.

I bumped to my old boss and he want to know where I am going next year!!! I told him nothing apart from New York. I told him because money crunch now also I told him that I booked July 2010 for Disney Cruise. He told me that not allowed to that and have to wait until holiday confirmation. What a crap at my work. Mean I have to go queue very early next year. Sound daft. I asked my workmate what the manager said they said nothing why me? I am not happy with it and I think the manager was not very nice to say that to me.

Grrrrr I need to go away from my work which is crap now.

My stupid computer is playing about now pop up with virus grrr i had been checking my own virus said none.

Looking like not my day today. Now I am off to wraping up the Xmas present for the kids before they search around the house lol.

Sandi called last night and told us some very bad news about Tom. He was having a very difficult time being uprooted. He finally got to a good place here in PA and was doing well when they yanked him out and moved him to FL. He has NOT been doing well again in FL. He's currently in a mental hospital and put on suicide watch. They'll probably hold him for a couple of days and then release him to a halway house or someplace like that. They are afraid of letting him go back home because he doesn't want to be there.

I blame Sandi and Joe. So does John. It's tearing John appart to watch how Joe is destroying his loved ones. I thought about taking on the job of having Tom move back in here with us and go to school where he was doing so well when he left. But John said that he would not be able to handle Tom now, he's not the kid that left here....he's too far gone by now and it would be too much work. Still, I feel we need to be there for him. John said he wouldn't be able to do it. I feel torn and helpless. I wish we could help.

We're meeting with Monica and Marilyn for tea in April 09. We also have lunch paid for with the Princesses at the Castle. I don't want to lose that money already spent. So we're going to WDW in April 09. Then Sept 09 is our b2b cruise. John really does not want to cancel the second week and he said it would be impossible to add a week in CA after a b2b.....just not enough time off and too much money. He's right and I can't cancel if he really wants to do it.

That leaves our next available time to do it in April 2010. That will work out nicely too because we can just fly there and stay a week and fly home. Easy. Then our cruise in 2010 is not until Christmas. We'll really want to do DL in April. So I'm locking it in. We'll be in CA for a week for April 29, 2010.

That leaves enough time for everyone to be able to plan it out and join us for some fun at DL. We would love to have a reunion with as many Thieves as possible. We may just make a tradition out of it. We'll do WDW and/or DL alternating every April.....then we'll cruise every Sept. each year. That will work out nicely. And we'll get to keep seeing our friends on the left coast.

I'm sorry that we have to wait so long, but it will be worth it and we're not giving up doing it. We're looking forward to it. Then we'll be able to keep doing it every other year thereafter. As long as the kid is not cruising with his mother and family at Thanksgiving, we'll be having a mini reunion at Eastwood Manor with Ian and Sukie on Turkey day next year. same with us for 2009, we struggle at the moment, managed got things for kids for xmas but less this year as our kids are grown up.

Boss cannot believe that I have no holidays planning next year for our family as we booked Disney cruise for 2010 which are very expensive for us. Think it is last one, who know, or we might cancel it during the exchange money is very bad at the moment worst I ever see it.

Worry about New York as money rates is not good.

No holiday, no Tenerife for next year :sob :sob

Exactly I am not happy with it also I was shopping yesterday at M&S for paperwrapping etc... one staff told me put that back and told me that 20 percent plus my discount too so I leave it until tomorrow maybe get family present to save my money.

I am very sorry to heard that news and I know you wish to help but there is nothing to do.

I have friend Roz and she was very bad depression last year and went to hospital over Xmas then she came out of it then now she back to depression again over her friend treated her terrible. She texted me last night to asked me if I am friend with her. I texted back yes I am alway your friend and please don't listen another people and think family first. She texted back and said she feel very low.

I don't want end up like her one day!!! very scarey!!

So John is home again today. I have a wound doctor appointment and he usually takes me to those.

We were talking about Tom over coffee and decided to call Circles of Care in Melbourne FL which is the facility that has him. They told us that he was doing very well and that he's going home today. That is nothing like what Sandi told us last night. We have a feeling that she and Joe are exaggerating the situation and rushed to judgment trying to get rid of him. We're appauled. So we called Sandi on her cell and said for her to speak to Joe and Tom and talk about him coming to live with us here. If he can get back into the disel mechanic votech school that he was doing so well in before he got yanked out, then we would consider taking him in.

We don't know what is going to happen from here, we just know that it's not good for Tom to stay around Joe and we feel we have to get him out of there.
