Deb, it was a computer virus, not a person virus...I'm good :goodvibes

How come they found us on the same day :rolleyes1 Are we leading the same life only in diffrent countries??? :cool2:

I hope not to see that stinking thing again, it was a late night trying to rid it and I'm not sure it is gone yet.

BTW, mine wasn't an email it was a pop up for an update to Virus Protection, very sneaky those hackers :scared1:
How do you know when you have a virus? I'm sure I've never had one, but maybe I have and didn't know? How would I know?

I just realized I never got a chance to rake my leaves! They didn't fall for quite some time, then when they did fall, it rained most days and there were only a couple days that would have been dry enough to rake, but we were busy elsewhere. Now it's 29F and way to cold to be out there raking. It's supposed to stay that cold for a week, but it looks like the day before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving itself are supposed to be warmer, Turkey day being close to 50F! So I can definitely rake that day. :thumbsup2

I got a pop up that just looked weird, especially because I have a pop up blocker. I called my IT guy and he confirmed it was BAD and gave me a site to download the stuff to wipe it off. Viruses can look like nothing to your eye, or make your system shut down completely. This one is known for having a keystroke recorder, which is bad as it can then get all your passwords and pretend to be you. Which could really hurt on banking and credit card sites.

It isn't a bad idea to have your computer routinely checked with the free stuff that is out there. I use AVG 8.0 for everyday virus ware. Just google free Virus Protection and read closely, you don't want to down load something that is pretending to be protection. clear as mud huh.:rolleyes1

OH HOW VERY PRETTY......thank you all so very much! It's very festive and I love everybody's birthday wishes.

I woke up during the night and then saw a present and a card sitting on my laptop waiting for me to open. I was born at 4am so I'm awake and waiting until then to rip this card and present open.

While I was waiting, I went to all the birthday horoscope sites for today's birthday and read all about my upcoming year.

Now I have just under 15 minutes to wait. I'm so excited and anxious to see this gift. I know it's my Mickey name necklace, but I haven't seen it up close and personal yet, much less being able to wear it.

John wrapped it in beautiful hot pink shiny paper with a sparkly hot purple bow. It's georgous. I took a pic for you all to see, but photobucket is down right now....so you'll have to wait until it comes back online.

Eight minutes left. I'm really getting excited. It's getting close.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Photobucket is working now. Here's the present and card.

Now it's 4:00a.m. and I am born. I'm opening my card and gift right now.

Deb... next year I'm going to be sneaky and plan with John to surprise you with something YOU HAVEN'T ORDERED!!!!!

Do you trust me??? :flower3:

Hi everyone, Michelle coaxed me to drop in again and say hi as I have been very busy with the boys. I want to wish Deb a very happy birthday as we scorpio's need to stay together. The boys took me out for a nice dinner and a beer (of course, could not be a LBB without one) on the 16th for my b-day. We have signed up for the Northern European Capitals (NEC) trip on 12 Jun 10, so we hope to see everyone again. I know a lot of you folks are planning for the Trans-atlantic and it is an absolute fantasitic trip.

Hope to poke my head in every so often.

Hugs to all.

Steve, Joe, & Dan.

It's amazing who I latch onto!!! Welcome back Sir Steven!!!

OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

I don't know Deb... I think it's just TOO CUTE!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Then we can all hop on the El and bring the Obamas a pumpkin pie.

We're gonna have to pry it out of Holly's hands... :lmao:

Good Morning all Humanoids (and Nan),

It is cold here. Right now it's 26F though it supposed to go up to 35F. Later this week, Thursday, it's supposed to go as low as 20F. This is unusually cold for this time of year. It's usually in the 40's and doesn't drop like that until January. This does not portend well.

This is going to be another stressful week and I'm worried because I'm supposed to take 2 days off next week before the holiday. We have so much to get done this week.

We're supposed to hit 19 on Saturday... thus the reason I'm skipping the holiday parade this year...

Sweetie, thats not even close to all your secrets.:rolleyes1

Or the bribes she's gonna have to pay us to keep um!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Parts of the trip were very nice indeed thanks Venetia. The journeys went well, though long, and I managed a little shopping. We had a meal with John's sister and BIL last night and that was really nice. The business bits went well for John too.

It is very hard visiting John's mum though. Neither she nor John have much to talk about, so it falls on me. this time I think the conversation was over in 15 minutes and his mum said 'come on Marilyn, think of something to talk about, we rely on you!':lmao: :sad1: Harder these days since her life consists of a care home with occasional trips out and family visits.

Hopefully when she moves to a new care home in a couple of weeks she will be a little happier - at least for a while!!!!!

Not looking forward to being 91!!!:sad2:

How are you and Bubba?

Marilyn... keep drinking Champagne and you won't notice 91!!! :flower3:

Marilyn

Good to hear from you and dont worry about 91 as it is long way to go.

I know that feeling same with my grandma, when she was 90 okay then she became 94 she gave up. She was chatting until 90 stop chatting and became very quiet and always tell me go home when I came to visited her from Edinburgh to Aberdeen, 5 mins see her she had enough huh. Funny, I still missed her.

Holly

Sorry to heard about Tyler and I touch the wood for you as you mentioned that you never have VIRUS oh sh sh sh sh

My IT guy told me to use malware bytes, it seemed to work, check it out.

Sorry about the computer. We should all get Macs!!

HA! because you think they can't get viruses???? That isn't a reason in my book to go Mac. I have a mac, it wasn't the end all be all of the world, and frankly I know I open that can of beans with John/Cheri again, but my pc works just fine for my tastes.:snooty:

FINALLY!!

I had an unexpected overnight in Detroit last night. The flight from Amsterdam to Detroit was delayed about 3 hrs so I missed my Detroit to Orlando flight. Luckily since it was the airline's fault I was put up in a hotel w/ no charge (along w/ MANY more people) and flew home today. PHEW! I'm exhausted!

Had a great time but I hurt - my knees ache from all the walking I did. So glad to be back home and can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight.

I need to go find our old thread and skim read, then will be back here.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

Hi Monica. Great to have you back. You have been missed. Sorry about the painful knees.
Did you enjoy the trip though?

Hi Maz!

I had a great time - thought of all of you often - I even have a pic of hidden Mickey's :lmao:

Took over 600 pics - will need to condense then post - but it WON'T be done today :rotfl:

How are you & John doing? Ready for your trip?

Hi all of you so near and dear to me.....I'm having so much fun reading all your thoughtful and kind wishes and enjoying all the beautiful graphics from you. So many thanks. It really helps brighten my day and makes me feel adored.....that's my mood on my myspace page for today!

Thanks especially to my sweetie, jackie, michelle, nan, ian, lisa, holly, deborah, steve, woody, ken, venetia, gaylean and marilyn.....you all mean so much to me.

Nan, glad you're not sick.....so sorry your computer is.

Shelly, I trust you and I trust John.....I just can't help the fact that I enjoy shopping online for my favorite things. I would always welcome a surprise gift along with what I pick out. John sometimes does that to me.

I have more presents to open with cake tonight. I only got to open the big one at 4am.....now I have a few smaller ones.

John was home sick today....he was really sick and slept most of the morning. In the afternoon we went out to see a friend, Dave and eat lunch at Friendly's.....nothing fancy.....just a good tuna sandwich which is one of my all time favorites with warm cheddar and broccoli soup. I ordered bacon on the side too....coz it's my birthday. It was all good.

John is feeling a little bit better now and has gone back to rest until the kid gets home with dinner, I'll probably order subway....we'll see. Nothing big. We already did brunch and next week we're going back to the same place for Turkey Day dinner, but in a different building.

I lost 2 more lbs. before birthday celebrating and since then have gained one back. Still down one net. I'm doing good. I'm trying to keep the calories in check even though I'm not on diet food right now. It's going well.

Hi Monica.....Welcome Back!

Happy belated birthday to Shaelyn for a special lucky 7th. Hope she had a great and magical day and that all her wishes come true.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

HAPPY BDAY DEB!

I thought of you (esp) when I was in some city at the beginning (can't think of where right now).....there was a funky sculpture of a turtle - had to look at it several times to figure out that THAT was what it was supposed to be. I didn't take a pic of it (cuz I didn't really like the piece) but did think of you as I looked at it. :goodvibes

Sorry that John is ill, but at least he has managed to celebrate a little with you.

Enjoy the rest of your day Deb.

I'm so proud of you keeping to the diet and all that weight loss!!!!!
