Kathe...

I'm either turning into a walking bottle of lime juice or I'm gonna add Vodka when I get home later...

But thanks for asking...

How's Canada? We had flurries today... lake effect... quite nice to see... I'm ready for spring now... ;)

We had flurries yesterday...and it's snowing again now...it's going to be a long winter  Hopefully my SIL will be able to find a few minutes sometime this week to help me get the snowtires up and out of the basement so I can get them put on my car! It is so frustrating to me to have to ask for help, but I just can't manage them on my own...and I hate that "can't" word :headache:

I'm looking forward to my day off tomorrow. I'm getting my hair cut first thing, then picking up my mom for a lunch date and some shopping.Serenity's mom just called and I may get to see her tomorrow evening or the next :cloud9:

I missed coming on here last night, but I just zipped through all the pages and I've got the key comments ready, so here it goes!

FIRST OFF - HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEB! it sounds like you had a great celebration! I hope John is feeling better :goodvibes

Marilyn - Glad your weekend was okay and that your MIL appreciates your conversation skills :)

Deborah - Congrats on winning the T-shirt contest. You sure have a lot of events that you go to!

Holly - sorry to hear Tyler is still struggling. Is this still the adjustment period for the new round of drugs?

Steve - Happy Birthday! Glad you had a nice celebration with your boys.:)

Monica - nice to see you back!

Gaylean - how much are you paying V not to share all your secrets? how about if just a few get shared (just to keep the board interesting;) )

Hi to everybody else! And Nan, thanks for considering me as a backup drinking buddy when Gaylean is unavailable ;) Its a pleasure to have my skills appreciated :snooty:

Thanks for the birthday greetings for Shaelyn; I'll show them to her tonight. My first baby is growing too big too fast. After her birthday dinner (pizza) and cake (ice cream log, actually) she opened a few presents, and then Ken went to work on the electrical in our kitchen, and I helped Shaelyn try out her new Wii games. She got the High School Musical Sing it and High School Musical Dance. Its so cute to watch the girls performing.

My laptop was doing weird things last night, so I'll have to figure out how to back all the files up soon, since Ken thinks the hard drive is going to die :scared1:

We are definitely interested in a reunion trip to DL. Sept works better than Feb, but Ken's already stated on here that we can make either work!

Okay, time to pack it up here at work and head for home! Ken's actually coming home each day this week instead of staying away for 2 nights, so it'll be nice to see him every day!

Deb - I'm so happy that you had such a swell birthday.

Gaylean let's go there and party  and Shannon and Venetia and Deb and Kathe and Marilyn and Michelle and Steph and Holly and Cheri and Jackie and Lisa (all of you) and Bubba you can come if you leave that wig home :scared1: (pretend this is the pink one I forgot to save it) and everyone else that I didn't mention spefically by name please come too and no pink wigs:snooty:
Wouldn't that be a blast? And we can all crash at Deborah's house! :rotfl:

Holly - sorry to hear Tyler is still struggling. Is this still the adjustment period for the new round of drugs?
Yes, he's only been on these meds for less than 2 weeks. There have been slight improvements though. At his next med check (Dec. 4) his doctor will adjust again if necessary. He says his plan is to adjust every time until we find something that will help keep him at school all day. Tyler's occupational therapist wonders if these acts are actually resulting from anxiety because if it were purely oppositional behavior just for the sake of being oppositional, he'd be like that all the time and not just at school. She's had kids in the past doing the same things as Tyler and they had major improvements with Risperdal (one of the meds he's on) combined with Prozac. His psychiatrist did mention that if nothing helps significantly, his last resort will be to try an antidepressant, so we'll just wait and see. It's a stressful waiting game.

Well, I'm off to be a couch potato and comfort myself with chips and dip. Will check back during commercials (if I find something to watch). :thumbsup2

My biological calendar is off. Am I the only one who thinks that the holiday should be this week?

I keep waking up thinking that I don't have to go to work. I also keep thinking that it's about 2 days later in the week than it is. That's probably because of my WW work that took up all day Sunday.

Speaking of which, I have already started to prepare for my Sunday meetings, which is of course before Thanksgiving.

I have a ton of stuff planned. I ordered silicon bracelets that have inspirational words on them (Believe, Dream, Hope, etc) and I'm giving each member a bracelet as part of their "holiday survival kit." I'm encouraging them to wear it on the wrist of the hand they eat with, and to use it as an emotional anchor to remind them of their goals.

I'm also making up wallet sized cards with tips for getting through celebrations. I also have a host of props, some funny, for tips for getting through cooking a meal without eating while they're cooking.

In addition, I'll do a little exercise with them, that is alway a surprise. I give them paper plates and pens and ask them to write out their meal plan for the day ... after Thanksgiving. They always expect me to have them plan Thanksgiving, but my feeling is that the holiday is one day year, what crucial is what their plan is for the day after, or if Thanksgiving is going to turn into everyday from now until New Years.

----------------------------

Don't worry ... I'll be very quiet when Christmas rolls around, because we don't celebrate it. Sukie and watch movies and have egg and chips for dinner (it's a little tradition of ours that we started in the "old country").

-------

Did I mention that there was an anti prop 8 demonstration in Chicago this past Saturday?

One woman had a sign that said, "Gays have every right to be as miserable as I make my husband."

By the way ... I found the following picture, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to work it into a posting:

Ian, you have such great motivational ideas. I love hearing them. If I lived near where your WW meetings are held, I'd surely go just because your ideas are so great.

Too funny about the woman's sign at the anti-prop 8 demonstration! :rotfl2:

That pink limo would be all over the world if we picked up all those people :scared1: But it would be fun to do a wine tasting in that thing :cheer2:

I think I'd call in sick everyday if it snowed all the time. I'd have to home school :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

If she's talking about what I think she's talking about, you already know :scared1: but she might know a few more since I have seen her a few times since the cruise and I haven't seen you :sad1:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I've said that same thing and the truth is that if they would let you get married there is a great chance you'll get divorced anyway :lmao: Not meaning you and Sukie but Gay people in general.
