She went away for a couple days with John. He had some business calls to make.

Now that sounds like fun! I can bring my own Aerobed, sheets and towels. (I'm a low-maintenance guest). I'll even bring an apron and a paring knife!

We want to try to get everyone together sometime. I think we are pushing for Sept now. We thought it would be nice to do an anniversary party of some sort. Deb said she'll come and we are just trying to see if anyone else from out of town would want to come so we can set a date. I think it is hard for everyone financially so we wanted to make it far enough out so that everyone can save. I guess it wouldn't be much of an anniversary without Ian and Sukie.

It would be hysterical to have an anniversary party without us!

I could always drag some heaters out to the garage, and set-up some tables out there. We could turn it into the Road Trash Holiday Cafe.

I'll keep you in the loop. So what were the Sept dates? Cause, you know, some of us will be on the Magic for one or two weeks that month! Was it the week before or the week after the cruise that Deb wanted to come out? Whichever...I don't think I'd have the spare cash, as I'll be there in November for my birthday celebration. Now FEB is good for me! (I was thinking of a March visit anyway, so I could move it up.)

Ian, I'll be reserving Thanksgiving vacation time.

Yesterday, while shopping at Fresh & Easy (one RIGHT BY MY HOUSE NOW), they had some lemon bars....oh, I didn't buy them, but I sure want one RIGHT NOW.

She is a youngen...they say not until you are 40 with no family history and if you have a history (or need in self detection) then earlier. I wouldn't rush if I was her. and yes, I've had mine, I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago, my 3rd and I'm all clear

I got some Wii games on sale at Toys R us yesterday:

indiana jones lego
sim city (kid version)
scuba diving

I think I'm almost done with Xmas shopping. I need to get Paul a sweater and I think that's it. Short lists for the extended family this year, since we are travelling together, we are foing to do a gift card or something like that.

Oh yeah, one more thing, we are getting Molly an ipod. Trying to decide between the touch and the classic. She says she wants the touch, so she can check stuff online, but I'm not really sure that is what she will use it for internet, but more for video and songs. Anyone have any info on this????

The way I understand it, an iPod Touch holds music and video like an iPod, but in addition it is capable of connecting to the internet anywhere there's a WiFi signal. That way you can buy and download music, etc. directly to your iPod. You would also have all the capabilities of a regular internet connection, which I don't know if you'd want a kid to have (unsupervised)...? A regular iPod is synced with one of your computers and you add music and videos to it from that computer; no internet connection.

I think she will really like the scuba, I let ya know how it is. Did I tell you she did a scuba thing at Monterey Bay Aquarium? I've been rethinking my desire to make her wait to get certified. We let Wilson have his dangerous racing passion at a silly young age because I guess we aren't scared of it ourselves. Alot of my thoughts on Molly not diving are because it scares me, which is a silly reason to not let her follow her heart. So....I might just offer her the chance to take lessons next year for her bday. We'll see

Most interesting. Whenever someone needs someone to drink with, they almost always turn to Gaylean (at least at first). I'm thinking she has a rep on this board.

As for reunion trips, I believe a Sept date would work best for us. But I would not say "no" to a February trip, but that would be a bit tougher to pull off.

We both have the 160g classics and love them. I don't thing the ipod touch has the storage capacity of the classics either.

I'm only 33. How old are you when you get them? The doctor has never said to do it yet. I will say that every woman I know that has had breast cancer has been in their 30's
