I was unloading my camera from my trip to Winnipeg and I came across this series of pics I took from the plane ride home:

I was just playing with my camera but it dawned on me that a few of you may have never seen this happen, right Gaylean?

I have to say that is one thing I've never seen. The coldest place I ever flew to was Hawaii

Even with Mrs F we could fit about 24 people in there.

A nice holiday dinner, punctuated with the roar of the El going overhead.

Our national/regional meeting yesterday was really inspiring. It was probably about 2000 people.

They showed a video of some members who lost more than 100 lbs and it was really inspiring. People who's lives were transformed.

One woman told how she had collapsed on her stairs and could not walk up to her bedroom and how desperate she had become. She reached her goal and lost over 120 pounds.

A guy who lost over 100 pounds talked about how when he started he couldn't walk and now he runs marathons.

Another older woman lost 140 pound THREE times. She finally figured out that she needed to keep coming to meetings to keep the weight off.

It was remarkable and inspiring.

I love reading these stories The reason I joined WW back in 2004 was because I had a friend that lost 120 and she hadn't lost it all either. I just saw her recently and she gained it all back. I was so sad for her.

Well all... quiet day...

The pebble is back...

& I've lived under the cloud of vicodin all day...

It's cold dark and I'm hungry...

Good news... I have heat, turned on the light and dinner is in 1/2 an hour...

There was white fluffy stuff coming out of the sky today...

Hi Michelle, I'm here. I just got in. I was out all day today. Had a mamo scheduled and it's an hour away from the house and I had to go to my GP's office first to pick up the written order. So John stayed home and drove me and we were gone most of the day.

The mamo tech lady really hurt me a lot. I used to get 4 pictures taken total, but today they did 9. The lady that used to do them was very gentle, but not this lady she just grabbed hard and hurt, then the machine hurt too of course. Anyway I'm glad that's over with. Next week I have to see the GP for my annual check up and then see the woman doctor in his office for another annual check up. I always do all my routine appointments in November near my birthday so that I remember to do the appointment and to get a clean bill of health for my birthday.

I haven't had one yet but I can only imagine

Hahaha.....I tried to be as discreet as possible. Sorry Bubba. Women have to do these things....it's just part of it all.

Newsflash, the woman in the office today was verifying my info and it reminded me that it's been ten years since I had my last hot flash. WOW did that make me feel old and used up. Then she asked if all my pertinent inside parts were still in there. Oh, that just makes me feel like a used car ready for the junkyard.

When I asked her why we had to take 9 pictures today instead of the 4 that I'm used to......her answer was "gravity." EEK!!!

Ten years? You were young. Why would you have an appointment like this the day before your birthday

I went back to the last thread and read the last 30 pages or so last night. I guess I missed out on my chance to hit the big time with the rock group. Ah well...I would have looked pretty silly in a Pussycat Dolls outfit anyway!

As far as our reunion, it looked to me like 2 dates are being considered: Feb. 09 and/or Sept. 09 after the cruise(s), both at Disneyland. Is this right? I'm open to either or both, at least right now. If something firm gets decided and I'm on my trip, will someone (Jackie?) let me know?? please???

Michelle, I hope you're get to feeling better soon. It also sounded like someone (your father maybe?) was very ill. to you.

Phoenix set a new record high today--87º! They said it was only 74º here, but I was so hot I could hardly stand it. Enough already with the heat!

That's very exciting about the 3D movies on the ships. I hope I get to check it out on my cruise next month. If I do, I'll report back.

Ian, I got to read your full TG menu--mouthwatering! I gather we're all crashing the party next year??

Kelly, what a drag about your computer crash! I'm not nearly as good about backing up as I should be. I am getting my photos done, however. I don't really have work-related stuff to worry about anymore, but my music & photos are precious to me.

I'll keep you in the loop. So what were the Sept dates? Cause, you know, some of us will be on the Magic for one or two weeks that month! Was it the week before or the week after the cruise that Deb wanted to come out? Whichever...I don't think I'd have the spare cash, as I'll be there in November for my birthday celebration. Now FEB is good for me! (I was thinking of a March visit anyway, so I could move it up.)

It is so cute. I'm sure I'll never make my own but it is interesting. I don't even know where you guys get all the smilies that aren't on the side or under more. I want one drinking champagne instead of beer and it would be cute with the pink wig too, even though mine was green

Ian, I'll be reserving Thanksgiving vacation time.

We love having a big crowd, and we have a blast.

We used to have a Boxing Day tea party (I might have mentioned it). I used to start baking and freezing the day after Thanksgiving, and continued baking (nearly every night) until Christmas.

There were sweets and savories, one 6 foot table of each. And nothing but tea to drink.

The last year we had it, we had over 180 people. I remember just sitting in our bedroom in the basement, exhausted. It finally got to be too much for me and we stopped.

The only remnant of it now is how we go all out for Thanksgiving.
