I have to get up in time to see Santa come in on the Macy's parade... tradition you know... now if they'd just put on March of the Wooden Soldiers I'd be set...

I'm recording it just in case I miss something while getting ready to go out. It's tradition for me too. I grew up with Macy's thanksgiving day parade and HAVE to see santa before it's officially the kick off to the Christmas season.

This year, I wasn't going to even put up a tree because I'll be in South Carolina mid December and I didn't want to make a fuss without having the time. Now Tom will be here so we HAVE to have Christmas this year. So I have two weeks before I leave to get it all done.....shopping, wrapping, decorating, cards....that's a lot to do in a short amount of time. Maybe I'll get the tree when I get back....I'll still have four days before christmas.

Just when I thought it was going to be a quiet one this year, it's going to be just the opposite! Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

I agree but I heard that they have to make special arrangements to have bullet proof glass and other special things and it made me sad Did anyone else notice that he was the only presidential elect that made his family leave the stage during THE speech

It's very sad. And if my family (just my dad's family) starts their ignorant racist crap tomorrow, I'll blow up and leave.

And I'll snag a bunch of leftovers on the way out the door!

I decided today that the house smelled from dogs and so I bought some Febreeze plug in oil thingies.

I think I overdid it. The house smells like a deranged bordello. I just had to run around unplugging the things. They're making me sneeze and starting to give me a headache.

I should have left well enough alone.


I am going to head off to bed...

I love it that my sister cooks for Tday

We (paul, molly, wil and I) just celebrated Bitty Baby's 8th bday. Bitty Baby is an American Girl baby doll. Molly got her the night before we fly to Hawaii for tday 8 years ago. We have celebrated her bday every year since. It's really a fun (& funny) tradition. Tonight I asked Molly to bake some cupcakes, chocolate and then we suprised her telling her that she made the birthday cupcakes for Bitty. She of course had forgotten her own daughter's birthday.

Now Paul and I are watching some scary Alaska killer hiding in the snow movie. Late night, lazy morning, followed by lots of food for dinner, yum.

Ian, Paul loved the recipe. We don't have Bourbon, can we use another liquor? We have scotch or canadian wiskey will those work? If not he will go and get a small bottle since we clearly never drink or use that stuff. or maybe we use it too much and that's why it's gone

I went overboard when we moved in with the scents... grapefruit... smelled like a fruit basket... next time get the spray.. .works much better...

You see back in High School I had a guy who used to well, almost STALK me... We all hung out in a group together and he took it a bit too far...

It's been something that all of my friends have sort of kept an eye on for me...

Well... then there's facebook and classmates...

seems he's been checking my profile on both (it appears on classmates each time he visits and some of my friends have told me he's asked about me... ) alot... I did not accept him as a friend when the request came through - I think it was a good idea...

I called one of my friends to let him know... we'll see if anything else happens... I thought these headaches went away long ago...

Our daughter has had just the same thing happen.

Yup, you're absolutely right! And some good news: I DID get my holiday pay for Thursday and Friday on today's paycheck after all! I often forget that our office manager just likes to stir the pot a bit and may have just wanted to make me sweat. I don't know. I'm just glad I got the pay.

That's what I thought too! She's probably afraid I'd drop Tyler off for a visit while I go sightsee for a couple days.

We also came to the end of "Upstairs Downstairs" yesterday. Today I kept saying things to to him like, "Ruby! You lazy girl! Haven't finished peeling those potatoes yet?"

Did you enjoy it all? I think I felt a kind of bereavement when it finished on the TV.

That would be a cheaper option and stop me being hassled , and how exciting to receive cards on vacation!!! They leave little messages on your phone when you have a delivery!!
