Shannon, I believe snow bib refers to the type of snow pants that have the suspenders attached with an upper part, so they look like bib overalls, as opposed to the snow pants fasten just like pants and stop at the waist where pants would stop.

I STILL like the idea of doing BOTH with a round trip Barcelona/Phoenix plane ticket to get back and forth. My family thinks I'm nuts for considering it...it would use all but a day or two of my vacation time. Somehow I don't see anything wrong with spending all my time on the Magic

Hi All. HoHoHo....I've been filling out my diser christmas cards. I didn't do any for family and the rest of my friends. Oh well. I'll get them in the mail tomorrow.

We're getting a lot of rain today. I'm glad it's too warm to all be snow. It would be a lot. I'm not ready for all that yet. A white Christmas would be nice though.

Tomorrow John has the day off to take me to a doctor appointment. I'm finally getting my annual check up by my family doctor, getting my flu shot and seeing the woman doctor in the office for that annual check up. I'll get my clean bill of health and be done for a new year.

Tom's job interview at the mall got pushed back a week. The store manager said that they're looking to hire in two weeks. That's great because it won't be a seasonal job and I don't have to start driving him every day yet.

We signed the custody papers yesterday and mailed them back to the lawyer. John made Tom read them. He was a little shook up thinking that we were now his parents and that he would only get visitation rights to see his mom. We told him that's on paper only and it's for medical purposes. His mom will always be his mom and we will never come between them. He felt better. He's been calling her every day, he misses her terribly but he's happy to be living here.

Legally it's 21 for contracts and things, but it's 18 to be out on his own and responsible for himself. He'll be 18 in April....just four months. But while he's still in school, we'll be able to cover him on our medical insurance and that's what we need. He's on antidepressant meds that he needs to continue taking. Tom has always been a sweet, kind, very sensitive person. He still is, but now just add rebellous teen to the mix. He will outgrow this and be a fine young man one day. He's very caring.

I'm not surprised to hear that....no matter what he is your dad. I'm sure even your mom is feeling saddened today too.

Just be there for each other. That's what you need to do right now. Surround yourself with everyone that you love and give and get lots of hugs.

I woke up having a dream yesterday where me and my niece Emma were in a cemetery (it was actually the yard next to our old church) and my father was there - wearing his old Fordham sweatshirt that he loved so much and he just said to me that he didn't want to be in the hospital anymore and he got into a white car and drove away...

You're so intuitive and I'm sure in your dream with Emma and your dad it was very peaceful and calm. It's your way of communicating with him on a spiritual level. It sounds like you have come to an understanding. It's going to be ok now.

Stayed in the room this morning till the rain passed, then hit the parks. Relaxing day really.

wow Deb, it's really a big job you guys are taking on. with this being legal you guys take on lots of other responsibities (even if it's just for a few months until he is 18) you are caring grandparents to do this for your grandson
