You must have missed my previous post. I'll copy it here for you to see:

John and I were talking over Saturday morning coffee today and we were saying how great it would be to do the end of the world cruise too. We'll be in Orlando looking for housing and playing with friends and family from the 7th to the 15th. We could check out on the 15th and easily drive to the port. hahaha. We have to see if it works out financially. I'll know better by next month. Monica is already holding a dummy date for me. I've already checked to see if my room is available and it is now, but who knows by next month. If so and we do get to go, we could have a great party out on that deck. Where does it go? St. Thomas, San Juan and CC? That would be a great cruise. Also, I have not been on the Fantasy yet so that would officially complete my list. Have to wait until next month and one never knows....

coming along on the stocking.. should be done in about a week or so.

Thought i might have a hard time finding a fabric for the lining and the backing, but then i realized that we have quite a few quilt shops up here. I might take a trip out to the big one next month and see if I can find something i like. i'm thinking of a lavender colored backing or maybe a sage color.. will have to see what it looks like next to it.

Hi Jan, welcome home.....for us it's 15 cruises completed. Only DCL. I guess they knew that everywhere we went....our stateroom host and Palo people, etc. They probably just knew that we were platinum. They really treated us special. We loved being pampered.

I watched the life leaving out of my mom for four years. I was relieved for her when she passed. I didn't even cry at her funeral. It hit me afterwards, when I was home. She lived in the same town as me. I couldn't call her anymore.

Now that five years have passed, I miss her more everyday that goes by. I do remember our strifes, but they don't matter anymore. I just miss getting her hugs and her food that she gave out of love. I miss and remember her love the most.

Keep your memories strong from your time with her before she got sick.

Well our plans changed for this weekend. We're not going to see my cousin on Sunday.....he has to work a full day. So that's out.

Me and John will celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary on Saturday. Not sure what we'll do....probably just open a bottle of wine and chat together. The kid comes home on Saturday too. John has to pick him up at the airport at 2pm. Thank goodness it's ABE in Allentown and not Philadelphia, which is where he flew out of. But it's right in the middle of the day so we really can't go anywhere unless we go after they get back. We'll see what happens.

Happy 22nd sweetie. It went by quickly. I wish we had 22 more.

Thanks Marilyn and Monica. We will celebrate in whatever way we can. We have a nice bottle of white wine chilling and getting ready to pop after John gets back from the airport with the kid. He should be landing right now. So we'll be popping that cork soon.

WOW.....I just changed my signature to 4 months until moving near the mouse. As of Oct 1st it will be four months until John retires. We could move anytime after that. We will probably set a target date of March 1st to be moving in somewhere. That will give us time to do the last of the packing and the driving down, etc. It will also give the paperwork time to kick in and the retirement checks time to start coming. John should get a pension and social security while I have my disability. We should do just fine.

I can't believe it's only four more months.....I remember, not long ago, when it was one more year. These last four months will go quickly.

Yucky day today...

Postponed our leaf peeping until tomorrow... will go to olivers for brunch and then head north to the lake. We were going to go up to the Adirondack museum.. but only 2 hours of sleep last night wasn't a good recipe for a long drive today...

hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow...

The kid spoiled my plans today. Right in the middle of the day, John had to go to the airport to pick him up. He didn't even know it was our anniversary and could care less that he interrupted it and made it impossible for us to make any plans for today. I will NOT miss him.

Well so far we killed off the bottle of white wine, after John got home. I'm debating if we should open the red tonight or wait until tomorrow. Not real sure. We probably couldn't finish off the red if we open it tonight. Maybe we should just wait until tomorrow.

Off soon to our overnight hotel before our cruise leaves tomorrow. Visiting John's mum on the way so a long day. Not been on such a long journey for almost a year as not good travelling in cars these days, but it will be worth it in the end. 12 days of doing nothing and being waited on will make a huge difference.

Though we aren't going on the cruise to compare cruise lines etc, I will give you a little resume when back. We aren't doing any excursions as I wouldn't cope so relaxation is the theme!!
