YAY!!!!!! I'm PIF for my Canada cruise in Sept. I was able to book Palo dinner and brunch. Then we're doing a winery tour and a railroad ride on our excursions. I just have to check and see if John wants me to book a massage for him. Then done! YAY!!!!!

Happy Anniversary Shell to you and the QM. I know you did the right thing by moving, you're both so much happier up there.

The weather is the same here too. I just stayed indoors and kept the a/c's running. I'm comfey. That's the way that I plan to do Florida after we move. Air conditioning or water.

When I lived in NYC and didn't have any a/c.....I used to put a tee shirt on and jump in the shower. Cool water. Then I used to lay a towel down and go to sleep. By morning I was dry and starting to warm up again, but I got a good night's sleep every time.

If you don't have a/c and it's this hot, just stay wet.

Well I'm sharing a 2 bedroom cottage or condo with her and her husband, so I guess I can share!

We don't have central air in this house either, but we have five room air conditioners and it's very comfortable in here. Yes, my electric bill is off the charts, but I'm comfortable. It's a big house.

You need to be comfortable! Can't put a price on comfort.

You can buy a bottle stopper at any wine store or winery. They have different tops for wine and for champagne. You can probably pick them up in a gourmet kitchen supply store too. Just so you know. I wouldn't keep it for long though. Drink some every night until it's gone. For me and John, that wouldn't take long.

So yesterday.....I didn't do any packing or sorting of the house....BUT I did do 2 miles on the exercise bike for the first time. One mile straight thru without any stops in the morning and another mile in the afternoon straight thru. That's the first time that I have gone straight thru too. WOO HOO!!!!

Shell, you're right.....in Florida, we'll get discounts and cruise again. It's just the NOT knowing when and where that's going to be. I'm so used to having one, two or three ressies booked. Having none is a novelty for me. That has not happened in a long long time.

Go through the house one room at a time, right! It's the deciding what to bring.....I will overpack.....and after packing it, where do I put it. I have no staging area. I'll have to clear a room out and then what do I do with that stuff? I have too much stuff. It gets overwhelming.

How about picking one small area--a cabinet or closet or shelf or whatever.
Then
Put a box on the floor nearby and go through that one space and take out each item that you KNOW you will NOT want in Florida and put each thing in the box.

When you have Finished the "space of the day" you quit. When John gets home he puts the box in the car or truck for the next convenient time to make a run to a place you can donate it. Someone there will get use out of it and you have a few less items to deal with.

As you work your way around the house you are slowly making decisions and creating space to use for packing and staging later on.

Some things will stay in the house until a future look at the same cabinet or even make it to Florida and then you will decide that it needs to live with someone else.

It's all good though--slow and steady!

No yardwork today because it was raining. Now it's stopped but it's about bedtime so I can get up early again to do my exercise video. I've been waking up BEFORE my alarm, and it's been set for 6:45 all week. Strange, because I'm NOT a morning person.

Well, I can't promise my umph will last. It never does. But I keep trying, hoping one day it will stick with me. Just keep swimming!
