Oh no! Delays are never fun.

Glad you got some Pixie Dust for the Minnie Van upon arrival! You needed that after all that delay especially on such a short trip.

Oye! What a travel day! But you made it. Hopefully had a great dinner to help you forget all about it.

Joining in, we just stayed at YC in early September. Andi and I love the YC, I have lost count how many times we have stayed here. I hope you had a good stay and ugh to the long flight delay!

You would think that a four hour delay would be the end of it, but oh no, we were just getting started!

Oh no!

Finally at 3:03 we were given clearance to take off! So just a nice 8 hour delay.

Yikes! What a long travel day!

They even offered free drinks to everyone due to the delay. I got a glass of red wine, and the flight attendant filled the cup almost to the brim!

The least they could do!

Once landed I got texts from my mom, she was able to get the Minnie Van to come get me too! Yay! And bonus, they weren’t going to charge us for this trip! Double yay!

Turns out it was the same driver who drove my mom! We got to chatting while waiting for my bag to come out, and it turns out that he felt so bad about my 8 hour delay, he offered to stay late just to come get me! How amazing is that!?!?

So nice!! Glad you made it to Beach Club finally!!

That's one of the worst delays ever! I hope you were given all kinds of financial compensation for delays that were their fault.

Oh Man! That sounded like a nightmare of a travel day. I feel like once things go had it's bad... And it's amazing they don't have some parts in inventory at airports or something!

Glad you finally made it! And super nice that they didn't charge you for coming back for you! But I guess at that price they can afford to do it.

Not at all! As the departure kept getting pushed back I was really starting to think they would just cancel the flight, I'm glad they didn't!

Yeah, not the best start to the trip, but at least I got all the drama over with on the first day! Plus the pixie dust on arrival was pretty amazing!

Yeah, the delay just kept getting longer, it was a very stressful way to start the trip!

Yeah, that was really nice. They also gave us a few food vouchers to use at the airport while we waited, so that was also nice not having to pay for meals while we waited.

Yeah it was bad. I've never had a delay that long where the flight wasn't ultimately cancelled. We were only given food vouchers at the airport for meals while we waited, but I've heard if you call they're pretty good at making up for it. I'll call them one of these days!

Yeah, I'm so happy it was a direct flight! And yeah, I couldn't believe that the Minnie Van came back to get me for free, it was an amazing surprise after such a long travel day!

Happy Saturday everyone! Just popping in with a quick RL update. So for the first time I think in my life, I got sick from Disney! I started feeling a bit off yesterday, and woke up this morning with a full on head cold. Ugh. Good news is it's not covid, bad news is I feel awful. So it's actually good that we had a shorter trip this year because normally we'd still be in Disney through tomorrow, but I'm happy I'm home so can mope around my house with a trail of tissues and my dog following me. I guess after 40 years of going to Disney World, this being the first time I brought home a head cold is pretty impressive!

The good thing about this though is I have zero motivation/don't feel well enough to do any chores, which means I have an abundance of free time to work on this and my other TR! So I'm hoping to get this and my birthday TR updated a bunch this weekend. It is kinda nice having a lazy weekend, even if I don't feel good. Plus there is so much football on this weekend too, so it's a good weekend to crash on the couch and rest. So keep an eye out for updates, will try to get some posted tonight or tomorrow!
