Shocking news. Our house is still clean.

Great news!

Getting ready for DD's wedding on Sat. I will be cleaning tomorrow.

Cleaning tomorrow, Dh leaves on Thurs to fly out to Ohio to accompany his Mom back here for the wedding. She has dementia and can't travel alone. He has sibblings that are coming to the wedding but, they feel she can't handle the car ride.

DH has to fly out in the AM rent a car drive 1 1/2 hours to her house pick her up, drive back to the airport, and fly back here all on thursday. They couldn't even get her to the airport and they drive right past it on their way here.

The total trip for her will be about 1 hour less than the car ride.

I will smile and be cordial, but once the wedding is over, that will be the last time I speak to his sister. Their DD is in law school here. We NEVER hear from them unless they need something. So for the past 2 years they have stayed with us when they come to see her for a visit. DH has helped DN move twice and we have driven DN to Ohio and back last summer when we went for a visit. She graduates next May. We will be on the PC cruise. Guess they will have to find a hotel.

This is the end of my rant.

They all arrive Thursday night. My family arrives Friday morning. Wedding is Saturday. Then all DH's family and he and his mom head out on Sun. My family leaves on Wed. I think I will need a cruise or a BIG

Crazy, isn't it? DD, bride, is concerned. I think Rich is a little relieved to be out of the house for awhile.
We haven't had any bridezilla moments, but things have been getting a little busy here these last few days.

Just keeping me sane is tops on my list. Thursday will be very busy. Having him home to help would have been very nice. Our oldest DD's MIL had surgery today, and she was supposed to watch DGS on Thursday for me. Thursday's are usually my day. So now I will have him with me all day as well. Fortunately he is a great little 4 year old and a great traveler. So he will be grandma's little helper.

Thanks. We knew several months ago the DH's family weren't going to be a helping us with his mom. The only stressful part was when we found out on Friday that DD's MIL was having her surgery on Tuesday. Her news wasn't very good, so I really shouldn't be complaining.

It will all work out. I actually clean faster when I'm ticked. So this has worked in my favor.
